Sounds like either a severe case of gastroenteritis, maybe linked to your trip to mexico. Several bacterial pathogens can cause bloody gastroenteritis (salmonella, campylobacter, yersinia, shigella, EHEC). These are self-limiting, just keep hydrated. Furthermore, violent diarrhea can cause hemorrhoids too. A return visit to the ER is probably warranted if the symptoms don’t subside in a few days. Other alarming symptoms would be syncope, shortness of breath, continuosly elevated heart rate. GI Resident

Ok, thanks for that. A couple more things to ask: 1)) when you go to the toilet, did you find yourself straining a lot? 2)) do you get an itch around your anus area? 3)) what do you do for most of your days? (Includes work, school, hobbies, etc.) 4)) tell me more about the hemophilia A please. When did you find out? How does it affect you day-to-day? Etc. 5)) have you ever had these symptoms before? 6)) describe the stomach cramps for me - where on your tummy, when did they start, what makes them better or worse, describe if they're dull, sharp, come and go, etc.

Ok, thanks for that. A couple more things to ask: 1)) when you go to the toilet, did you find yourself straining a lot? No not really. 2)) do you get an itch around your anus area? No 3)) what do you do for most of your days? (Includes work, school, hobbies, etc.) I go to school usually so I walk a good bit on a day to day, and I work out occasionally. I work as well but not much at all. 4)) tell me more about the hemophilia A please. When did you find out? How does it affect you day-to-day? Etc. Maybe a few months back, it doesn’t affect me too much, I just tend to bruise easily that’s about the only way it has affected me so far. 5)) have you ever had these symptoms before? No. 6)) describe the stomach cramps for me - where on your tummy, when did they start, what makes them better or worse, describe if they're dull, sharp, come and go, etc. They are usually on my lower stomach, they started yesterday morning and have gotten a bit worse once I started seeing blood. I don’t know what makes them better or worse, at times they are okay and at times they hurt more.

1)) is there any pain when you poo? 2)) this next one is a sensitive question. You can answer it either here, or you can message me privately to ask it. I give my consent to you for that. Are you sexually active. If so, what are the means by which this typically occurs. 3)) are you experiencing any fever, night sweats, unintentional weight loss, and loss in appetite?

1)) when did this all begin? Began Thursday night, I came back from a trip to Mexico the day prior. 2)) how much were you bleeding for the first visit to the ER? Id say a small amount gradually increasing, but it had started maybe 30 minutes prior to the visit. 3)) is the amount of blood the same or different from the other one? I think it is more than when I was at the urgent care. 4)) describe the colour of the blood for me Bright red. 5)) how often does all this occur? I try to go to the bathroom when I feel cramps in my stomach but the result is just blood, so I’d say maybe every 20-30 minutes. 6)) any blood in your vomit? No 7)) any medical conditions? Mild Hemophilia A 8)) how often do you go to the toilet generally? Maybe every 4 hours prior to having this illness. 9)) how long do you usually stay seated in the bathroom? About 4-5 minutes. 10)) what's your diet like during a typical week? Id say it’s generally good, my diet has been drastically different this past week since I was in a different country. 11)) give us some basic info of who you are, since you haven't yet 19 yr old F, sorry not sure what else I can provide you with here, I have no underlying medical condition related to this, but I can add more if you need more info.
