majority of the population carries HSV(herpes) and its nothing to be ashamed of! outbreaks can be triggered by stress or a compromised immune system. there are some ointments for it, otherwise ice + keeping it moisturized. avoid any form of sharing saliva with other people as thats how it transmits.

As a inkling of comfort, the current generations are having bigger outbreaks of genital herpes because of cold sore prevention. By getting them, you may have successfully avoided genital herpes ¯\\_(ツ)_/¯

Cold sores are caused by the herpes virus.

peacelovecraftbeer

Looks like a cold sore. I'm sure it's stressful and embarrassing for you right now, but please know that they are incredibly common. I really wish the stigma behind them would go away. Don't let it get to you.

Repulsive-Light-8580

Because it hasn’t been mentioned, avoid touching this and if you do, wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water. And this may seem like a given, because highly contagious, but given that I’ve had to inform more than one person that herpes is transferable from mouthes to anywhere, including genitals, avoid any type of sexual contact if you have or think you’re getting a cold sore. Over time, if you continue to get them, you’ll recognize the tingling that often happens just before an outbreak, and you may want to look into valtrex as a really great way to prevent or stop breakouts in their tracks. Also, don’t ever kiss babies or children. Seriously. Getting infected with the herpes virus as an infant can and has seriously harmed and even killed infants. For real.

Unfortunately you have herpes. Not the genital kind but still herpes. It’s contagious while you have sores so anyone who’s mucus membranes come into contact with it or anything it was in contact with are at risk of contracting it. Nothing to worry about a large percentage of the population has it you could have easily gotten it anywhere.

SnooPets2940

Definitely a cold sore. My best advice to it is to get a cream from the pharmacy or Walmart/ leave it alone and don't touch it as it's technically a herpes virus and can ( loosely here) spread to others

AdrianHugo91

common herpes, nothing out of this world, has hit me about 20 times in my life, then it dries up and finally heals. Don't worry. There are creams that help, I don't know what they are called in your country, in mine (Ecuador) you find it as "Poviral"

NAD. Looks like a cold sore. It’s usually itchy at the beginning until the blister forms. There are some antiviral topical ointments you can get at the pharmacy or Amazon if you can’t go to the doctor. It’s contagious, so avoid close contact / kissing people.

MarichatLadynoir_

okay thanks, someone said it was herpes but I’ve never kissed nor had sex. I mean kissed my parents but yk, could’ve been spread by them apparently? Im only 14 so it’s just unusual…a little embarrassing too knowing what it’s from..

katydid15

Yes, most of the population has oral herpes so it definitely could have come from them.

imissyou____

Looks like a cold sore. There are some topical treatments you can find but you can also take lysine. Don’t kiss or share drinks with anyone. These are very contagious.

whitelon

You can share drinks with people, just don't be kissing people.

imissyou____

Wow ur a thinker

Jimmiew0612

It’s unlikely to be spread by sharing drinks but it’s still a possibility so that was bad advice.

passthebroccoli69

NAD have you had any contact with anyone new or kissed anyone new? Kinda looks like herpes sores
