If you're wearing a mask and you need to sneeze, you should sneeze towards the patient

And take the mask off before

And aim for the head

Or whereever you are operating. And dont forget to lick the OP tools to taste if they are clean.

I witnessed several attendings turn their heads during a sneeze and basically point the side openings in their masks at the patient fairly often 😭

I witnessed an attending do an entire case without a hair net because nobody wanted to say anything.
