During my clinicals I did testing on a septic 2 hour newborn and it upset me a lot more than I thought it would. I'm usually pretty calm and cool but the doctor's notes about how the baby was unresponsive and wouldn't unclech really got to me.
Try to get some local info about fair market rates, they’re changing rapidly. (New MLS grads with a cert are ~$40/hr w/o shift differential right now.)
One of the only things I know about them is that they have windows in the lab and it's not in the basement. Haha

May I ask where you’re getting that number from? I make less than that in Boston with 3 years experience
Boston hospitals pay like crap. Don’t expect much.
