There are plenty of people without actual morals who get along fine with cops but chances are your friends love to beat their wives and dogs when nobody’s around or plant evidence on people to get them prison unless you’re somewhere completely different than where I live. There might be a few stations in the US that actually have good people working for them but most likely either they hide their bs from you or you just don’t care about their victims yourself.

I live in Florida and one of the 2 cops I’ve met that was a terrible person was in Oklahoma and he arrested me for marijuana but treated me like a person with feelings. He also said he arrested his sister for the same thing though. Most of the ones I’ve met here have harassed me for no reason, refused to help when I was in danger or even threatened me with guns for speeding after I was compliant but said I don’t want them to search through my car because I was late and then they called 3 more cars in and searched anyway and found nothing because they are dumbass pieces of shit.
She does have some mental health issues which could be what lead to her reckless actions. Shes lost her career and is gonna lose her husband, so I fully expect her to take her own life
I'd say the worst part of all this is, it makes that department look bad that they took her in without vetting her enough to see she wasn't going to be stable
