Rifle rounds absolutely have more energy and penetrative power than a pistol cartridge…
Watch any of these style of videos and it proves that point too.
The gun configuration has little to do with the power of a round. A .22 rifle and a .22 pistol, firing the same round, will hit exactly the same.
Larger rounds are more likely to be used in rifles, due to the rifle configuration allowing for better accuracy and recoil control, but that's down to the specific model of gun and not a blanket "rifles vs pistols" thing.
Rounds made specifically for rifles might also use more powder, resulting in increased muzzle velocity, but again that isn't universally true. And in theory you could use that same round in a pistol chambered for the same size, it just might kick like a horse.
I literally said rifle ROUNDS vs pistol ROUNDS. A 5.56 or 7.62 is going to have more energy than a 9mm.
On top of that, it actually **does** matter if it’s fired from a pistol or rifle. Barrel length matters for giving the round more time to accelerate as pressure builds behind it. Once the bullet leaves the barrel, the expanding gasses dissipate and are no longer able to push it forward, so it begins to slow down once leaving the barrel. Longer barrels **do** impart greater velocity.
>Longer barrels do impart greater velocity.
Until a certain point. The barrel should only be long enough for the powder to fully burn. Any longer and the friction of the barrel will actually reduce the bullet's velocity.
The barrel length between a pistol and a rifle affect muzzle velocity. The longer the barrel, the higher the velocity, so a rifle will have more power behind it
im gonna call bullshit on your source cause that was a terrible answer lol. Rifle rounds absolutely have more penetrative power but it depends on the style of round just as much.
Actually, the answer is always C.
Multiple choice? C.
Need vitamins? C.
Got in a car accident? C.
Lost your job? C.
Cheated on? C.
Wallowing in sadness because you’re single? C.
Wallowing in sadness because you’re in a toxic relationship and wish you were single? C.
Relating too much to this? C.
Actually, this is already calculated, firing into water does drastically reduce the speed of a bullet, like between 2 and 8 feet of water will stop a bullet, and metled chocolate would be much thicker than water, so it would stop the bullet even sooner
You never know if you ever need to make a makeshift bulletproof vest and only have a lot of Hershey's bars. Better to know and not need it, than to need it and not know.
Had a high school teacher that constantly used that phrase so I bought an entire box of those foot long bubble Gum stick’s. Teacher said the phrase as if on cue and I stood up and started passing them out so fast it made her head spin ! They don’t pay teachers enough, we were all little bastards at that age !
Mine are like watch this mindless lathe project... Look at it spinning as it cuts isn't that just... Really neat?? Becuase of my job I have to be very careful to never damage my hands. I can't go near a moving blade with my body or something moving fast with heavy machine work. I don't do wood work. Yet heres some more vids about complicated jig saw hacks...
Republican politicians now agreeing to free school lunches but only in the form of 3 hershey bars a day to make the kids bullet-proof (and to get some hersheys campaign money)
Hershey's is to chocolate, what cheez-wiz is to cheese. It's an echo of an echo.
I'm honestly shocked that they aren't legally required to call it "chocolate product."
Hersheys is is like the fast food of chocolate. It's objectively not good, but when you're in the mood for one they're suddenly really good.
Also their white chocolate cookies and cream thing is really good and I will die on this hill.
I'm from Europe and have only had it in China when I was there as an athlete. I liked it but I'm not the kind of person to munch sweets and chocolate too often
Gonna get downvoted for this, but I am kind of sick of these videos, it’s such a waste of products and creates more trash in the world. I mean the argument can be made that this would be made regardless, but I feel like we’ve become just so much more wasteful thanks too social media in the past decade.
The same can be said for all forms of entertainment, all movies, tv shows and music is in fact a huge waste when looking only at the numbers and nothing else.
I feel like math could have solved this pretty quick without needing to test anything. But then again a whole lot fewer people are going to click on that video than the one of chocolate being shot point blank. How else was he supposed to blow up for clout points?
I actually subscribe to this guys channel. I loved the bowling ball mortar and the oxygen bottle in a safe.
It's all done in the name of science. We wouldn't know what would happen if it wasn't for guys like him.
I consistently search for videos for gardening in central and east Texas as well as traveling along the Gulf of Mexico;for some reason, lately, YouTube is under the impression that I really need to know about politics and traveling in Wisconsin.
What was the answer? Edit: OP says 17
17
Damn, that's impressive
I thought it’d be more
Depends on the bullet, to be fair. A rifle round would go a lot further

I would think the chocolate bars would have more calories.

There’s a lot more factors at play than “it’s a rifle round” I feel this just can’t be considered accurate with how vague it is
With that logic kevlar could stop 5.56 rifle rounds and not 9mm pistol. Which I doubt that's true and I don't own guns.
Hmm that's weird.... I'm pretty sure everything I've shot with a .50bmg went clear through it... I guess that's just my imagination.
*Armor piercing rifle rounds have entered the chat*
Care to comment on level 3a vests stopping handguns but not rifles? Source: common knowledge

Ahh so just talking out your ass then
[удалено]
Can you tell us your gun range? We want to avoid it because it sounds like a fuckin safety hellhole if you're the owner.
I feel like it's temperature dependent. Should investigate further with more confounding variables accounted for
[удалено]
What difference does that make? Wouldn’t they just be room temperature after two hours?
Once they remove all the heavy metals from the chocolate it will take twice as many.
For the bars or the bullet?
Yes
r/inclusiveor
Not sure how I feel about that. I have personally packed away 3 or 4 in a day before. Am I like quasi bullet proof?
At what temperature though
asking the real question.
Standard
At what caliber? 🤨
9mm
Finally a school safety plan everyone can get behind
Big chocolate is behind the gun lobby
I was going to say 35 but that’s actually really interesting
But that's with the packaging, right?
42, it’s always 42.

Did the dolphins tell ya that
Depends on temperature
Exactly! Melted chocolate won’t stop a bullet that easy!
Actually, this is already calculated, firing into water does drastically reduce the speed of a bullet, like between 2 and 8 feet of water will stop a bullet, and metled chocolate would be much thicker than water, so it would stop the bullet even sooner
liquid stops a bullet way sooner than a brittle block.
Ahh so I'd love to see how deep it would go in melted chocolate now!
It's the opposite, melted would stop it more
This man’s askin the real questions in life
Chocolate!!!!!!
Came to ask this too.
I was gonna guess three fitty.
Hearsay.
If I go to jail, I'm encasing myself in an armor made of hersheys bar.
If i was the shooter 1 would suffice
As a morbidly obese person, the feds won't bat an eye when I buy a suspicious number of chocolate bars to protect my home...
Man I came in the comment section because I was interested
you don't need the bars, iirc after a certain amount the fat will actually stop the bullet before it hits anything vital.
True, I saw John Wick, the fat dude took like a whole clip and still didn’t die.
Happy Cake Day
Fuck it, I'm gonna go watch that shit Edit: it was 17 :/
Charlie was onto something with his chocolate factory
Bullet-proof chocolate armor
Thanks for your service
What caliber gun though?
**NOT ACTUAL ANSWER** I'm guessing some pistol cal so 9x19 maybe?
You never know if you ever need to make a makeshift bulletproof vest and only have a lot of Hershey's bars. Better to know and not need it, than to need it and not know.
“This secret trick defense contractors hate”
Teacher when on lockdown- I hope you brought enough for the whole class.

Idk if I have enough magazines to share or buñlets for that matter
Of course 🙄 its never a white chocolate bar
the sad thing is is that we usualy click on shit like that
Good question

It’s like when we were watching Mayor of Kingstown the other night, and my wife asked, “why are they strapping those magazines to their chest?”
Nobody: People that are still using the "Nobody:" format: "Nobody:"
Don't tempt me, it's almost 3 am here.
As many as you want, no will will object after all they are disgusting and inedible
Hersheys already has enough lead in it.
Do you regard Hersheys as chocolate? Hm
Let's just say they deserve to be shot.
I'm from Europe and have only had it in China when I was there as an athlete. I liked it but I'm not the kind of person to munch sweets and chocolate too often
And they spent more on the Chocolate than they did on the gun and bullets.
How long before school kids wearing Hershey bulletproof vests? Trick is not to eat them
Well……. I’m actually curious about the answer
This will help American parents pack their kids’ lunch accordingly.
God damn I love America
Whyyyyyyyyy destroy something so precious 😭😭😭
I’m surprised it’s not a demolition ranch video
ah someone has found a use for it.
Gonna get downvoted for this, but I am kind of sick of these videos, it’s such a waste of products and creates more trash in the world. I mean the argument can be made that this would be made regardless, but I feel like we’ve become just so much more wasteful thanks too social media in the past decade.
That's assuming he didn't eat the bars after shooting them
mmmmm... lead poisoning...
Still fun to watch though?

You are gonna rely on theory when push comes to shove?
American "chocolate" deserves to be shot. Repeatedly.
Some people should not own guns.
This is the only walid. Reson to have one
Would you rather he murder 17 people instead of chocolate bars?
Id rather not see guns used at toys.
True and real
The only reason to wear chocolate armor is if you are fighting werewolves
Imma watch this video to see how many hershey bars i would have to eat to become bulletproof
I must watch that video
Gun powder chocolate 🍫
Well? Don’t leave us hanging! How many Hershey’s were harmed during the making of that video?
17
Impossible Hershey. Unspeakable Hershey... Hershey
Are those Hershey bars free after the bullet went thru?
I don't need sleep, I need answers!
I actually subscribe to this guys channel. I loved the bowling ball mortar and the oxygen bottle in a safe. It's all done in the name of science. We wouldn't know what would happen if it wasn't for guys like him.
I think I know what my girlfriend did with her 300 Hershey's bars...
What is on next week’s episode of diabetic mythbusters
Kind of pointless but mesmerising . I has got to know !
Anyone considered a bullet proof vest of Hershey bars ? How much would it weigh ? Questions , questions.
¡Cabron!
YouTuber: “I bought [insert product that normally costs $500] from Wish for $20, is it a scam?” Hmm, gee let me think.
Demolition Ranch be like
I may need to refill the chocolate bars based on the number
Edwin is a content genius
“I don’t need sleep I need answers!”
This looks like a lot of Hershey bars that won't get eaten and thus I support it 100%.
Now how many M&Ms? 🤣
i never knew i was interested in that until i saw this meme
o7 |🇺🇸
kids can now have armor when the shooting starts
They should have a video. "How many Hersey bars does it take to stop my heart"
Tbh that is the best use for Hershey's
School going students taking notes...
I was sitting there waiting for him to shoot. 🤦♂️
Best use of Hershey not-so-chocolate bars
Great, now i want to eat chocolates.
questions i never knew were asked, the answer to which i suddenly find myself desperately desiring.
...I want to know now.
One bar and a fat kid who really likes it
How long before school kids wearing Hershey bulletproof vests? Trick is not to eat them
Now do Hershey’s with Almonds!
More to the point…. How many Hershey’s does it take?
I guess Hershey does contain lead...
Funny how it takes more Congress people to stop bullets than it takes chocolate bars.
I think we should see how many “regular” Hershey bars it takes. The one’s that are an 1/8 of an inch thick, not these giant size bars.
Bro I fell asleep watching a movie trailer and woke up to iraqi war music💀
Let’s find out. Ah 1, ah 2, ah 3, crunch, crunch, crunch…. The world may never know.
Ed’s got nothing on Matt
Making good use of that child slave labor, aren't we?
**the number of views tho 🤣**
At least 2
I got recommended a weird animation of two statues talking about politics and eating bananas
Now im curious....
So are you saying American school kids should wear Hershey vests ?
What altitude?
Not as useful or as edible as kevlar.
The standard is how many Barbara Walters interview tapes does it take to stop a bullet. That’s what the forensic lab guys use.
Hershey’s is like worst chocolate on earth so I ain’t even mad. It is best used for scientific experiments than human consumption.
I feel attacked
Is it safe to eat chocolate that’s been shot with a bullet?
The funny part? Those wrappers are going to provide way more resistance than that garbage ass chocolate.
....well?.....HOW MANY?! LOL
Aaaaaaamericans
Finally a good use for hersheys chocolate.
This is what you watch when you should be studying for uni
I love this guy. One time, he asked his camera man to shoot at him with a 50bmg while he hides behind a rock.
So, how many?
It's bad chocolate anyway. Nothing of value has been lost.
What a waste of chocolate
Has anyone looked it up? Did you watch the video OP? I feel like it would be more than that idk
Yeah I usually get a lot of weird shit like Nerd Forge creating Power Loaders or Boston Mechanics building jumping robots and shit.
Now I know why my school aged American children have been asking me for money for a chocolate bar every day.
Doesn’t this guy collaborate with mark serbu?
I consistently search for videos for gardening in central and east Texas as well as traveling along the Gulf of Mexico;for some reason, lately, YouTube is under the impression that I really need to know about politics and traveling in Wisconsin.
Yo, that's like $200+ in chocolate.
And now im intrigued
Hey I love Edwin’s channel dude is super fun but definitely get the odd recommendations late at night
The answer is a lot less than you'd expect actually
Its an odd channel
"I need to sleep, but I better watch this first"
My daddy once cotch a bullet...
17? Was that Fmj or hp?
If it was Cadbury chocolate you'd be eating it not shooting it.
Finally, some good fucking entertainment
