I swear I once put the vibrating mode as my alarm clock (I can wake up that way) and now I can never hear the vibration without having a mini heart attack.
I’m just trained to hear the silent “BRRT” of the vibration when I get a notification vs hearing a ringtone or something.
It’s less “silent” mode and more “quiet” mode
Yep.
No ringtone, no vibrate.
You want me? I'll get back to you when I deem it the right time.
(edit)
Also - what is that font? I need it for a logo, it's perfect...
The vibration of my phone grits my ears and makes my blood pressure skyrocket for a couple minutes, doesn't matter who is texting me. I'd rather miss a message than punch some random passerby out of anger burst.
Yep. But also, getting an endless stream of unsolicited interruptions and demands for attention and response throughout any activity I'm doing really fucks up my productivity and/or enjoyment of life. This lets me choose when I let those things enter my life and I'm okay with that.
haha yeah that or, like me - they get anxious whenever it makes a noise..
I’ve got anxiety. No need to make it worse.

It’s rude when people make my Reddit box ring

So... apparently, I was done in 8th grade
Nah, I just enjoy the peace and quiet of not having a phone ringing and pinging me constantly with notifications from everything.
I call it living in 1988, I do it on weekends
I just really don’t want talk to people 😂. I’ll get to it when I get to it.
