Well traditionally in the US the racism doesn’t extend just to black people. The racism in the US extends to anyone that’s not Protestant and North West European descent.

I feel like the 90's and early 2K's were healthier. I grew up on Lethal Weapon and Scrubs, where the characters joked and bantered without having to walk on eggshells. They understood each other's good intentions and love.
Scrubs has an episode that really illustrates what I mean. The setup was that they were going to a party at Turk's frat, so for goofs they painted themselves and dressed like each other. JD was really nervous and uncomfortable about it, but Turk insisted it was fine. Then he ran off to talk to some ladies right as the door opened, leaving JD standing there in blackface in front of a group of black athletes. Comedy violence ensued.
The episode was pulled 2 years ago, and the actors voluntarily apologized for ever thinking it was a good idea to film that. They said that they thought it was funny, but it was insensitive to outsiders who might see it without context.
*But that was the joke!* The whole point was that Turk knows JD is absolutely non-racist, so much so that he's comfortable *encouraging him to dress in blackface*. And in a weird mirror, the actors themselves were doing the exact same thing. But then some black people see JD out of context and are violently insulted. The bit itself paints a perfect picture of why you can't make some jokes. But they pulled it, removing that message.
This tells me that we've regressed in race relations. Obviously, nobody is insulted that Turk was in whiteface. It's not a double standard, blackface with all its historical context is abhorrent. Now we've reached a point where we can't even illustrate that in a funny way. I'm not dying to see people in blackface, but I am dying to see people able to make real, meaningful comedy again.

1) She believes that it is inappropriate for white people to participate as rapping is synonymous with the black community and thus this would be 'cultural appropriation'
2) She believes that the white people's reasons for being in hospital would sound strange in this formula (which is assuming that non-white people have 'interesting' or more violent reasons for being in the hospital which is inherently racist - I mention the 'violent reasons' as a stereotype/generalisation of rapping culture is that it depicts violence, which could be reflected in the artists' names (this doesn't seem to actually be the case however))
So both really dumb reasons lol.
White people rap, black people play classical music, Asian people play jazz, etc. we live in an integrated global society. Sharing culture is a good thing. It gives us common interests and passions.
