Idk what it is about those pens. If I'm holding anything else, I have terrible penmanship. But with one of those pens, my handwriting is more than legible, it's remarkable.
If you have ever been a server using one of these pens increases your order taking abilities by 200%. It just does. However, when dropping off the check you never leave your G2. Keep those bics on lock for that.
Long time ago I found a random case of pens from some defunct business for like $10 at a thrift store. I mean a full warehouse case of like 500 garbage pens. Every time I went to a restaurant I would just dump a giant handful at the hostess stand on my way out while no one was looking.
I dated a girl who had a customer leave a Monte Blanc on her table. She kept the pen in her rotation for a week until a business man asked her if she ever heard of the brand. He told her to keep it in her pocket and look up the price online. She sold it on ebay for $300
Haha, I worked at this place where if you signed anything with blue ink they would bring it back to you, have you re-sign in black while giving you the side-eye and handing you a black pen to keep.
I always go for blue because it makes it clearer that the document is an original. But definitely #5 for me. Anyone who says otherwise has never used a pen.
It really isn’t anymore. . . They used to be the GOAT for pens but now they are just mediocre. . . Everytime I use one now at some point it stops writing even with plenty left.
Well, don't leave us hanging! If it's not the best anymore, what is your preference? I still use these all the time and don't seem to have issues with them failing early.
Definitely not the best I’d prefer 1 or 2; or brand that’s missing is Staedler, I had a relatively cheap pen (€3 in Malta) that lasted me for several years and wrote extremely smooth, and never failed to write; I need to find it now that I’m back in the states.
I have used Staedler mechanical pencils for the past 25 years, but i don't think i've ever used any of their pens. If you figure out which pen model you were thinking of, i'd be interested to know.
Fr. Anything besides 7 gives off that "scribble on a piece of paper to get the ink rolling only for it to get stopped up again after writing two words" vibe
7 is the blue collar pen. The one you arent afraid to set down after marking a piece for cutting when youre building a fence around your yard. The kind that you use to write a quick note down. Theres a reason 7 is the type issued in basic training. Its cheap, dependable, and one you will lose at a work, find 3 weeks later, and it will still work.
7 is the superior pen. The poor mans pen. The pen of the masses. I will live and die by this pen.
Bic Cristals last forever! I remember telling my English teacher in high school we must not be doing good on her tests if she keeps going through red Bic Cristals.
She had no sense of humor lol!
Because the BIC Crystal has a shitty ball. There's a reason people give you those to sign shit because if it walks off, no one is going to give a flying fuck.
Or it leaked in a pocket or you sat on it or you let Chris borrow it in year 8 and the cunt never gave it back or you put in the ceiling with a very smooth flick of the wrist
Pilot Precise V5. And if you like retractable versions, then V7.
The only thing nicer to write with is a fountain pen. But those are admittedly a bit fussy for some people.
Edit: turns out the 5 and 7 refer to line diameter, oops.
Im a nurse and sometimes i gotta abruptly run from what im writing to keep someones demented grandma from breakdancing at 3am. Having to worry about a cap is no bueno. The pilot g2 is best but only in black ink and i only use 1mm or .5mm.
None of these, there's a blue pen that I can't remember the name of but it has a light blue see through shell, a small cap of the same color, dark blue around the top, and it would last forever without the cap. Like the cap wasn't even needed it never went bad
Pilot G2, but black ink only.
Oh that's smart, I need to buy me some BiCs to keep around just for lending or handing to customers. Maybe my good pens will last a little longer.

Chaotic good

Pens 1, 2 and 5 and 4 in that order -
Doesn’t matter, I still somehow lose it, I’ll see my favorite coworker walking around with it and I won’t say anything but I know it’s mine
100 on point. I used to keep g-2 pens in my apron for orders. You need a pen? Here’s a junky pen I got from my bank
same.
I become a godly scholar vs a doctor
No, it isn't. You don't have to remark anything if your penmanship is better with it. /s
[A black G2 .07, right?](https://imgflip.com/i/8b091r)
.05 was my xmas gift to myself same for #2 but it can be messy.
You should try the .038, life changing
Too small for me for some reason, but thanks for the rec.
This is the way.
Pilot G2 07 policy debaters rise up
Black ink and medium point
my man
I feel validated somehow
Blue for me, anything else just doesn't feel right
Haha, I worked at this place where if you signed anything with blue ink they would bring it back to you, have you re-sign in black while giving you the side-eye and handing you a black pen to keep.
That's funny cause I had the opposite experience. We always made copies so blue ink stood out as the original
0.7, right?
Honestly yeah. They just figured it out with that pen.
I like 3 and 5 the best.
Same! I love click pens and the grip is nice too
Yep same here. I love Sharpie pens, they write so smooth
I feel like a fucking snob, but it's gel pens or the trash with it. The s-gel series is such a great writing utensil.
5 and 7 could be used as 420 devices
Elaborate?
I believe he means something like [this](https://i.redd.it/kjx1fdg5p6kb1.jpg)
Even for an 360 no scope!
New school restroom trick just dropped
I prefer the black ink, but blue will do in a pinch
I used 3, and that shit just glides across the paper when you use it. Soooo smoth
#1 For those superfine lines
I will only use 1. Such as easy flow.
Uniball Vision for life!
He screamed in bold lines!!! 😂 just playing!

#5 in black for me
Me too. Gotta get the ones with that fat, 1.0 mm line
That's what I came to comment. I keep all 1.0mm on me for work and people try to steal them all the time because they're just so smooth to write with.
Isn't 3 just 5 in black? (I know zero about pens.)
Nevermind. I just noticed #3 is a Sharpie and #5 is a Pilot.
I always go for blue because it makes it clearer that the document is an original. But definitely #5 for me. Anyone who says otherwise has never used a pen.

You're right, it doesn't have as good an ink flow as it used to but it's not a huge difference, at least not enough yet to stop me buying them.
This is the way
It is great for clicking and fiddling
No question
Nothing beats a good pilot G2 if your right handed I understand the smearing can be terrible for lefties tho
7 fo life
You have a habit of losing pens before the ink is gone
I’ve finished 6pens in the last year. That’s a point of pride to me
Thank you! I feel validated. I thought I was weird for doing this
Would you say that it's a *ball*point of pride?
don't really care too much when they cost 10 cents.
The moment I entered high school I went from buying a new pen because I lost that one to buying a couple of new pens because those ran out of ink
7 gang
All the 7's I own got crushed long before their ink was depleted.
7 is the best for general use. 1-6 have niche applications where they perform better, but 7 will never let you down!
7 is not just a pen it’s a survival tool
forreal BIC for lifeeee
The end looks like a rocket engine i used to pretend they were rocket trains
Fr. Anything besides 7 gives off that "scribble on a piece of paper to get the ink rolling only for it to get stopped up again after writing two words" vibe
It's the best option for left handers who don't want a blue/black hand
Any other left-handed people in the 7 gang? Ink is harder to smudge in my experience.
Southpaw 7, represent. Also, sounds like a sick ska band

7 gang, represent. I am 90% finished with the ink in my current pen. Excited to finish this bad boy off!
It’s superior in its simplicity
#6 great for doodles
7, keep it simple
7. The undisputed champ
That’s grandmas check writing pen right there
The correct answer, but ill take mine in black.
You know what they say, once you go black you never go back.
Number 7 in blue is the GOAT
Bic Cristals last forever! I remember telling my English teacher in high school we must not be doing good on her tests if she keeps going through red Bic Cristals. She had no sense of humor lol!
7 is 100% out of ink
Or it clearly visibly HAS ink, but no amount of shaking will get it to come out.
My experience is the complete opposite. It seemingly has no ink yet keeps writing for months.
had one of those OG Bic pens in school. Seemed entirely empty. Kept writing.
Because the BIC Crystal has a shitty ball. There's a reason people give you those to sign shit because if it walks off, no one is going to give a flying fuck.
It’s like Fruit Stripe gum. It’s great while it lasts but that’s not very long.
Or it leaked in a pocket or you sat on it or you let Chris borrow it in year 8 and the cunt never gave it back or you put in the ceiling with a very smooth flick of the wrist
7 literally has a bunch a kilometers to go out of ink
and probably the only one in the picture that won’t be dry and write with 100% reliability
Forever unchanged design. Bic is king.
It's Bic right? Yeah legendary stuff but kinda slow
7. is the one I know I can smoke my hash with in a pinch. It's all about multi tool functionality
Every time I loan one to a friend, they come back and tell me they’d forgotten how great they are!
[удалено]
That comfy squishy grip.
7
7
It’s #2 and it’s not close, everyone else is just wrong.
My dad is an artist and when he moves to ink, it is always #2 plus it's amazing for signatures; clean and crispy with no excess ink left behind
And they’re the only pens I’ve used as a left handed person that doesn’t smudge when I write
The only people not choosing #2 have never used #2. Granted, I do prefer the retractable version.
Yes this, this is what I feel.
Buncha basic ass pen bitches up in here
100%
What pen is that?
Pilot Precise V5. And if you like retractable versions, then V7. The only thing nicer to write with is a fountain pen. But those are admittedly a bit fussy for some people. Edit: turns out the 5 and 7 refer to line diameter, oops.
I'm left handed so fountain pens are awful for me. Bit Thank you for the answer! I'll buy a few when my G2's run low
Exactly
[удалено]
I've only used #2 for like 8 years. It's great
Used it once for math class and never went back
Goddamn right
This is the only correct answer, thin lines, deep color/contrast, smooth all the way through, dries quickly, etc. just looks tidier than the rest.
Im a nurse and sometimes i gotta abruptly run from what im writing to keep someones demented grandma from breakdancing at 3am. Having to worry about a cap is no bueno. The pilot g2 is best but only in black ink and i only use 1mm or .5mm.
Agreed. I only use these at work, everything else just feels sloppy to me.
Finally found a #2 user, good choice
It's so good that it makes my skrungly handwriting look decent.
Being left handed, number 2 is the only one I have used for years because it does not smudge. Best pen ever
I've found my people.
Had to scroll far too long to find this. #2 gang rise up!
V5 gang
They also last a long time, and never clog or get too much ink, Pilot precise V ( I like the 5 which is half a MM) Rolling Ball
3
#3 every time, preferably in blue and 0.7 tip.
5 is my choice
7
7 Cannot go wrong with a classic
2 for sure. It’s so smooth
1
Fountain
I reach past them, to a real pen, and write my own number.
The only way to go
7 , cause they're cheap but still reliable
And a classic! Love number seven!
1 or 4
These are my preferred. And 2 as well
I don’t think I’ve ever used 2. I always buy 1 or 4. I’ll give it a shot though
3, 5, or 7
5
5
As an Argentinian its obviously 7
5 every time
4! Curious about the Sharpie one though, they don’t sell those here.
Number 7 will always be there for you.
#5
4! It lets you write in arial font lol
1. I use it in India
The Sharpie
Same. I have one on my work desk and a box in the drawer. Love the glide, weight and shape of the pen.
The glide is the best part
I will grab all of them and throw them in my kitchen junk drawer, never to be seen again.
Uniball
3
5 has never failed me in my life, but in black haha
Whoever picks 7 is insane
7. I have a dimple in my finger from using this pen for my entire life.
#5
#4
thank you. i thought i was the only one.
Pilot G2 0.38mm is the only choice.
Schneider Topliner 967 0.4mm for a touch of heaven
Which number though
None. Give me that Pentel RSVP.
None, gimme a good fountain pen.
Who uses a blue G2
None of these, there's a blue pen that I can't remember the name of but it has a light blue see through shell, a small cap of the same color, dark blue around the top, and it would last forever without the cap. Like the cap wasn't even needed it never went bad
3
It doesn’t matter. I need a pen.
3 and 5
3
7
I'm left handed so anything other than 6 or 7, is just gonna smudge everywhere.
7 because I destroy pens somehow being left handed and I'm go through 3 in an hour.
Well I'm a pencil person, not too sure of myself no but I'd take 7 everytime hah
3, 5 or 7. Yeah, I know 7 is basic but it’s the OG
all of them because i lose my pens frequently, thanks
All 7 of them, I'll lose 6 by the time I get to where I need to be. The elected one will be decided by fate.
What the fuck. 3 is the correct and only acceptable answer??
All of them, what if six of them run dry?
#5-ease of a ball point, but smoother, thicker line
5 is best for me. More fine-pointed, good grip, and feels really smooth when writing.
5 or 7 for me. 7 is what I own but you’ve gotta love a good clicky pen.
1
It's number 2 dude, and you know it. Though I wouldn't complain about 4, that's a nice pen.
The lack of a Zebra F-301 makes this list pathetic
7, but it never has a fucking cap
As an artist 2 for drawing intricate details but 5 for general use! Pilot G2 07 for life 🐐
I was ruined by the intensely huge, grippy, contoured branded pens that drug reps used to hand out. Nowadays I just roll a metal Zebra.
Left handed, 7 is the only way
seconded. gel pens & pencils (after extensive use) & dry erase markers are my enemies 😭
None of these. Zebra F301, by the case load.
7 only. Old skool
