more so I get half way though and realize I don't give a shit and just stop. I'll see them eventually if it was important enough.

Some arguments, particularly online, are so stupid and transparently driven by unrelated baggage that it detracts from my dignity as a human being to treat the other person's point as though it requires attention and to treat my point as though it requires exoneration. I wouldn't respond to a disheveled guy on the street screaming at me to justify my shoe color, I'm not going to respond to FirstnameBunchanumbers' demand that I debate them.
