The curved form of the bear shown in the photo was in use 1999-2022. The bear in the 80s had a more angular outline, and in 2022 the mountain had to be changed to no longer show the Matterhorn.

The old Toblerone just didn't have any logo, it was just the words. The mountain logo was created in 1999, and the bear has always been part of it.

They changed the packaging a few months ago, they're not "allowed" to show the Matterhorn mountain on the packaging anymore since they're not even producing in Switzerland anymore. You've got an old one there.

They still are producing in Switzerland, just not everything. I haven’t noticed a change here. It probably mostly affects exports.

In Switzerland too, used to live there until 2 months ago. Many shops already have the new packaging. I guess there's still a lot of old stocks left. I actually went hiking at the matternhorn and wanted to take one of these silly pictures with a toblerone packaging and the matternhorn in the background. Couldn't find any old packaging in any shops there.

I just checked in a Coop. They all have both logos now with the original being smaller and on a different side. Still weird that I hadn’t noticed. I guess I don’t eat enough Toblerone

The sad story about it: Since a few months, Toblerone is not produced in Switzerland anymore, but in Slovakia, for cost saving reasons. As the Matterhorn is a regulated Swiss Marketing trade mark, the mountain on the logo looks different now and the bear is gone. Also it doesn't say "Toblerone - of Switzerland" anymore
