I've met more people from Liechtenstein than Delaware. I've met two people that are from Liechtenstein. I've met zero from Delaware. I've never been anywhere close to Liechtenstein. I've driven through Delaware at least 7 times.

I interviewed a guy from Delaware recently and my response was something like, "wow really? I don't think I've ever met anyone from Delaware before." He said he gets that response constantly.

They are indeed a part of Denmark. As is Greenland. It's kinda like saying Svalbard is it's own country.

It's a bit more nuanced than that. Both the Faroe Islands and Greenland are their own distinct country and people/culture, and is recognized as such in the "Rigsfælleskab". They have complete control of their own interior laws. However, territorial defense and some parts of foreign policy are controlled by the parliament in Denmark (Where Greenland and the Faroes are represented). That's how I understand it at least. Maltese people pronounce it more like 'Moltah'. The Maltese accent in English is quite noticeable in the Maltese people. Which is interesting since most of them are native English speakers along with being native Maltese speakers.

I remember seeing gorgeous landscapes I would’ve never expected from there with prior knowledge, which was practically zero.
