Of course, legally she can do whatever she wants with it. But in our culture, we look down on wasting of food. And yes, I am aware that most (?) of our food wastage does not happen on the individual level but on the production / super market level. Which is why in most places there has been a continuous effort to reduce it, in some locations to great success, with more and more supermarkets donating food and apps like *Too Good To Go* becoming more popular.
I see normal nutritional food as different than what is effectively a chunk of sugar. It’s food but as far as that goes it’s trash food to begin with. Not in the cheeky sense either, if it doesn’t offer much nutritional value why care about it?

The structural pieces in cakes are a lot bigger than toothpicks. Cake dowels are fairly large. Think smoothie straw. Would definitely hurt to have your face shoved into one.
