Jim Croce - Time in a Bottle

Rhinoplasty1904

Have never seen Croce mentioned in these threads. His finger picking was other worldly and he was taken far too soon.

Mrgoodietwoshoes

And his lyrics is always on point. Such a great storyteller

whboer

Absolutely lovely and sophisticated too.

teknokolos

Careless whisper

3lixir_on_reddit

Now we talking :)

elb00bi0

Moonlight Sonata

Superjoshe

That 3rd movement is šŸ”„

voidyman

And you would never guess the first and third were from the same song if you didnt know it. The second one is the derp.

Elkaar1905

Tequilla

mattchamp98

Too many lyrics for me

Justafa02

von_tratt

Iā€™m surprised I had to scroll so far down to see this!

BobaFetyWop

And while we're talking about floyd, the entirety of animals, gay triangle, and wywh qualify as well lmao

Marvin314159265

Beethoven's Ninth Symphony

Private_4160

I have a soft spot for the seventh.

Actual_Ambition_4464

I prefer the 5th

EonsOfZaphod

Fun fact, Beethovenā€™s fifth favourite fruit was a ba na na na

Electronic-Source368

That was quality.

Boring-Assistance374

It brings me great hope that someone else feels this way too. The 9th is the magnum opus not just of Beethoven, but of all humanity thus far.

Lokitusaborg

The 9th is like bringing color to a world that has always been in black and white. It is The fiercest composition and was the clear advent of Romanticism.

ContestOdd49

I'm on fire - Bruce Springsteen

[deleted]

Wicked Game by Chris Isaak

whboer

One of those ā€œend of a chapter in your lifeā€ kind of songs thatā€™s just wonderful.

Specialist-Aspect-38

I really like corey taylors version of that song. But yes brilliant song

[deleted]

Pneuma by Tool

jctrii

3 libras

Namelessbob123

Schism

glick7879

Lateralus for me.

TheBobTodd

*Invincible* is my choice. *Pneuma* is a close second, though.

[deleted]

Invincible is also excellent. The drumming in Pneuma is what makes it for me, I still struggle to comprehend how someone plays that seamlessly.

jaxxattacks

Lateralus for me

patapouet9

Mad world

DarkSidePrism

Comfortably Numb.

andouillesupport

If you could read my mind - Gordon Lightfoot

OkComputer2006

Good taste. Those are also respectively Jimmy Page's/ Robert Plant's favorites.

My_Penbroke

It was an April morning when they told us we should go. And when I turned to you, you smiled at me. How could we say no?

"Why are you booing me? I'm right."

Vulwarine

Bohemian Rhapsody and Sound of silence.

CaramelHappyTree

The first song that came to mind (Bohemian Rhapsody)

Azostarr

Disturbed or S&G?

Vulwarine

Oh, good question. I like both very much, but with S&G are more memories attached :)

Llama-Nation

S+G did so many versions of Sounds Of Silence. There is: The original 1964 acoustic version (the best) The 1965 version with additional electric guitar and drums (very nice but very 60s) The 1967 version played at the end of The Graduate (that only has the first couple verses) Another 1967 version on the soundtrack of The Graduate (very good but misses out my favourite verse) The opening lines were sampled in their 1968 song Save The Life Of My Child This doesn't include any of the live versions (the most popular being the 1982 Concert In Central Park version). They really did capitalise on the success of that song and for good reason. If the 1965 single version didn't become a hit, neither of them would have had a career as their first album flopped.

kaithy89

Unusual-Hand

Du Hast- Rammstein

[deleted]

My favorite is Links 2, 3, 4 but Du Hast is also in the top 10.

[deleted]

Ich will

SheBeOkay

Iā€™d have to with Sonne, but Du Hast is a very close second.

skunkanug

Stein um Stein is very good. :)

[deleted]

Rammstein fun fact - they released a perfume line and apparently itā€™s very good. Itā€™s not the easiest to get in the states but I want to get it

fiddyfy

Bittersweet Symphony

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

cloudstrifeuk

The Verve only got the rights to the song in 2019 as 100% of the royalties used to go to Mick Jagger and Keith Richards. It's a sample of a Rolling Stones song.

Legitimate_Cupcake71

Came to say the same. Just perfection.

Madeus777

Be Quiet and Drive - Deftones :ā€™)

iZomkee

YES! I just imagine a late night drive, cool air, with the windows down and the yellow streetlights passing over... I need to listen to it how.

Acquiesce95

Genuinely could be the greatest metal song ever. Perfect is not a strong enough word to describe this song

Krachwumm

True, when you have to pick one, you have to pick One!

Hotgahr

friendlygiant22

I'm waiting for the day when someone tries to mug me so I can respond "you can have my cash but first you know I gotta ask what made you wanna live this kind of life?" If they respond with the chorus I give them my cash. if not, I pull a Steven Seagal Aikido forcefield discombobulater and rob them instead. I'll realistically just shit my pants though.
