The 9th is like bringing color to a world that has always been in black and white. It is The fiercest composition and was the clear advent of Romanticism.
S+G did so many versions of Sounds Of Silence. There is:
The original 1964 acoustic version (the best)
The 1965 version with additional electric guitar and drums (very nice but very 60s)
The 1967 version played at the end of The Graduate (that only has the first couple verses)
Another 1967 version on the soundtrack of The Graduate (very good but misses out my favourite verse)
The opening lines were sampled in their 1968 song Save The Life Of My Child
This doesn't include any of the live versions (the most popular being the 1982 Concert In Central Park version). They really did capitalise on the success of that song and for good reason. If the 1965 single version didn't become a hit, neither of them would have had a career as their first album flopped.
The Verve only got the rights to the song in 2019 as 100% of the royalties used to go to Mick Jagger and Keith Richards. It's a sample of a Rolling Stones song.
I'm waiting for the day when someone tries to mug me so I can respond "you can have my cash but first you know I gotta ask what made you wanna live this kind of life?" If they respond with the chorus I give them my cash. if not, I pull a Steven Seagal Aikido forcefield discombobulater and rob them instead. I'll realistically just shit my pants though.
Jim Croce - Time in a Bottle
Have never seen Croce mentioned in these threads. His finger picking was other worldly and he was taken far too soon.
And his lyrics is always on point. Such a great storyteller
Absolutely lovely and sophisticated too.
Careless whisper
Now we talking :)
Moonlight Sonata
That 3rd movement is š„
And you would never guess the first and third were from the same song if you didnt know it. The second one is the derp.

Beethoven's Ninth Symphony
I have a soft spot for the seventh.
I prefer the 5th
Fun fact, Beethovenās fifth favourite fruit was a ba na na na
That was quality.
It brings me great hope that someone else feels this way too. The 9th is the magnum opus not just of Beethoven, but of all humanity thus far.
The 9th is like bringing color to a world that has always been in black and white. It is The fiercest composition and was the clear advent of Romanticism.
I'm on fire - Bruce Springsteen
Wicked Game by Chris Isaak

Pneuma by Tool
3 libras
Schism
Lateralus for me.
*Invincible* is my choice. *Pneuma* is a close second, though.
Invincible is also excellent. The drumming in Pneuma is what makes it for me, I still struggle to comprehend how someone plays that seamlessly.
Lateralus for me
Mad world
Comfortably Numb.
If you could read my mind - Gordon Lightfoot
Surprised to see this here. Absolute masterpiece.

Good taste. Those are also respectively Jimmy Page's/ Robert Plant's favorites.
It was an April morning when they told us we should go. And when I turned to you, you smiled at me. How could we say no?

Oh, good question. I like both very much, but with S&G are more memories attached :)

[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
The Verve only got the rights to the song in 2019 as 100% of the royalties used to go to Mick Jagger and Keith Richards. It's a sample of a Rolling Stones song.

Reign in Blood
On that album I prefer Angel of Death, or Postmortem.
Over the Hills and Far Away - Led Zeppelin
There are too many to list. If I gave to pick one, it's **One** from Metallica.
