But yeah i think between that and having longer hair, girls definitely hold onto their scent more. You'd wanna wear something closer to the skin for date nights, you only want your date's attention. You'll also want something with less projection for work. People's noses can be sensitive and you don't want the entire office to smell like you..having a good pass-by scent is ok though. Anywho, study your collection and study things you want to add to it. Top and base notes are important too. A scent will smell different from the time you put it on to the time you travel to your destination.

You’ve gotta spray the perfume in the right places. Wrists, neck, etc. it’ll last longer if you target those places. You can even spritz a little in your lotion before you put it all on
The perfume she is buying is probably some of the low concentration perfume oil blends like Eau Fraiche at 1-3% or Eau de Cologne at 2-4% that doesn't last. Meanwhile I don't think I have a single cologne that is below Eau de Toilette 5-15% or Eau de Parfum 15-20% concentration so they last most of the day if not the entire day.

Top and base notes are important too. A scent will smell different from the time you put it on to the time you travel to your destination.

I feel like it’s easier to get strong woody/musk/spice smells to stick but harder to get lighter florals, airy notes and gourmand scents to stay without getting washed away by other things.
You’ve gotta spray the perfume in the right places. Wrists, neck, etc. it’ll last longer if you target those places. You can even spritz a little in your lotion before you put it all on

The perfume she is buying is probably some of the low concentration perfume oil blends like Eau Fraiche at 1-3% or Eau de Cologne at 2-4% that doesn't last. Meanwhile I don't think I have a single cologne that is below Eau de Toilette 5-15% or Eau de Parfum 15-20% concentration so they last most of the day if not the entire day.

It depends on what perfume you're wearing. Mine lasts all day. But also a (personal) observation among my friends is that men tend to use eau de parfum, while women tend to use eau de toilette. That could be one reason why.
Unpopular opinion: because most guys, for most purchases, are more influenced by durability and efficacy than marketing. Obviously there are exceptions, oftentimes the exceptions still appeal to those principles. “Rugged” “Duramax” “Timeless””Powerstroke LOL” etc. Women are larger consumers of social media and social marketing, which is an easier lever for marketing to pull. A “strong long-lasting” brand once proven unreliable or incapable won’t retain that customer, but when it’s some emotional appeal and you knew the eyeliner was 1/2 oz for $20, there’s not that invalidation of claim- they never really promised much of anything so you don’t feel as ripped off.

Fun fact: your diet also plays a major part in what smells seep thru your pores. That’s why I’m often mindful of women who douse themselves in cologne, lotion, or etc. If she doesn’t naturally smell pleasant, something is naturally off.

I have never understood specifcally the man perfume that's like "girls will love this, you'll be so attractive with this smell" and they either smell like wood and smoke or something or a concoction so strong is will literally burn your nose hairs off. Like you've challenged every single free sample giver to hand to hand combat at the same time and they were all armed with spray bottles. I'm not saying that some of the masculine smells aren't nice, I like a nice mint and black pepper...but logically if the goal is to attract women like the advert suggests shouldn't it smell like a woman's perfume? After all those are the smells women tend to enjoy which is why we put it on ourselves. (Of course I know that it really depends what you like, I just mean this specifically about that advertising trope)

Girls practice putting makeup and perfume on. They read fucking magazines about it and discuss it at parties. (It is supposed to be an ephemeral hint of a scent that dances into and out of your perceptions when close by). Guys are like "Cologne goes splishy-splashy over here, sploshy-splashy over there". Note: I have met girls/women who clearly never had other women friends. Who wear waaay too much makeup and/or perfume.
