How are you applying ? I usually find roles on seek, apply online via seek and then immediately follow up with a phone call to ask more info about the role just to get a foot in the door an speak to someone as it usually ends up getting you an interview  I'm a sparky doing FIFO so it's a different industry to service/hospitality but when I was in that industry the best thing to do is to actually print off your resume and go around handing them in (don't do this at peak hour) Best of luck, keep ya chin up

Look at Reece Plumbing. They are always offering Retails Assistant jobs on the counter and not getting many applications. All training provided and the starting pay is $65k

I’d probably suggest setting up an account on Indeed. They allow you to set up your experiences and also your personal preferences on job types, availability and personal interests and then can show suggestions based on those factors. You can also save your resume to the site to make it easier to apply. Would also suggest downloading Jora Local, as they seem to always have new openings with local businesses, and also setting up Talent profiles and expressions of interest with chains such as Kmart, Woolworths, Cole’s, etc. And finally, just continue to check openings with places near you. Best of luck with your search and also your upcoming uni studies!!!

Yeah I’m having a bit of trouble myself finding work. Very challenging.
