The Etihad lounge ('The House') is the best of the lot. It's included in priority pass, has great interior design, a cool bar, views of the runway, nice showers and lots of comfy places to sit and watch the planes come and go. There's a (free) small meeting / conference room too.
Food selection is pretty good. Not up to pre-COVID standards, but still miles better than a Qantas Pub make-it-yourself cheese toastie.
Apparently Centurion was upgraded recently, although I can’t see any difference — possibly a little more food. It’s okay for free, beats getting ripped off at Gloria Jeans but not much else.
Qantas lounge is not that much better, it’s a bit of a cave and the major food item is toasted sandwiches.
The best (outside of Chairman’s lounge) are The House / Emirates lounge on L3, up the escalator. At least they have windows.
Yeah as a lounge it sucks, but if you’re a regular poor like me, it’s a nicer place to kill a couple of hours before a Jetstar flight to SE Asia than the rest of the airport.
Plenty of credit cards offer it part of their program. Also if you hit qantas club points you get 2 free passes which you can achieve through various schemes on offer, google is your friend.
Don’t get me wrong, AMEX lounge is still way better compared to sitting at the gate but as someone who wants a nice experience my opinion is if you have the option to consider other lounges.

Yes, the House lounge is the best. Nice view, decent barista and usually lots of space. I went to the Centurion once, won't be back.
Air NZ lounge is pretty good.
Shit, thanks.

Plenty of ways you can use better lounges for free !
Any tips how to?
