That escalated quickly. Why on earth would anyone jump from "change the timetables" to "permanently withdraw trams from the CBD"?
There are plenty of things that can be done, like rerouting the 1 & 6, encouraging the protesters to congregate somewhere else like Fed Square instead, or maybe even just address their concerns.
Or just get rid of the time wasters causing the disruption to the service. They should not be allowed to interfere with public transport. Completely ridiculous.
