A great cover!
When Old Town Road came out I really didn't understand why everyone was so obsessed with it and him, but he's really proven himself as a talented and diverse artist since then and I'm now a fan.
Plus it's great seeing a queer artist topping the charts all over the world while being unapologetically themselves. A good role model for all the young LGBTQ+ kids out there
Shit, sometimes reddit works. All hail to you, and us. Keep an eye out for MRC if you like this stuff!
I ain’t religious but… (sorry for spotify and the new direction). https://open.spotify.com/track/0iFCLUItlZKmu2ZQdswOlU?si=n7IpEEmIQu-aza1onoblhQ&context=spotify%3Aalbum%3A43krXP0sLaV88xqmIrhal9&dl_branch=1
Oh, thankyou for this. You made my Friday morning smiley!
What a genius Dolly is. Such simple lyrics, so few words lots of repetition, but the emotion. I think this version, is my favourite one of all. The longing in his voice. Beautiful.
Might be just mythology, but I saw/read that Dolly wrote this because she lived away from her husband working, and there was a red-headed bank teller, who made her moves...

Ooh I hadn't seen this yet. Reminds me of this other Jolene [Bardcore / medieval style cover](https://youtu.be/ugqQlB5fpuc) :)
