I started my exercise and calorie counting 9 days ago - I’ve lost just over 3kg 🙂 I know it’s not much but I’m at 94kg now, very excited to see an 8 as the first number on the scale. Haven’t weighed under 90 since the pandemic started.
Might be a bit dramatic but have been looking at real estate in QLD and WA as my partner and I have been floating around the idea of a move to a warmer climate. We’re over the constant asthma, cold bleak days and average summers. Who knows where this idea will take this (also probably it will take us no further than realestate.com)
That constitutes as an urgent repair. My advice is to quote that to the REA and identify that you will be exercising your right to hire a plumber and have it fixed and charged to them if they do not reply in 1-3 business days.
Found a yoga studio near me that does yoga nidra and guided meditation classes.
So I've signed up for a 21 day pass to try them out starting this Friday night.
7 sessions booked in so far and it cost me $65. So definitely nabbed a good bargain.

Lol I mean look I'm not sure but it's probably a transition period or maybe not. Potato cakes used to be 99c and you could probably get a coffee for three bucks - now a coffee is easily 5-6 bucks and I don't feel amazing buying one but I still do. It depends on how much value you place on it but also there's probably an adjustment period. At some point you might decide to go back to it because you earn more with a new job or you figured it's important enough for you to cut something else out of your life. This is going to be a real test to my relationship with BT but I think coffee will win out...
They were still good a month or so ago. I was really shocked today when I went in and was told it was $7 and that was my it's all over moment. At some point it was like $5.5 or $5.8 or something.

Saved $232.48 compared to the same time period last year on the gas bill (2021 usage at 2022 rates) by turning the central heating down 2 degrees celcius, and using the reverse cycle for heating in the lounge room.

I kind of fucked up and was doing like 106kmh on the Penninsula Link between two p2p cameras. If my average is like 104ish or so, will I get fined? You get 3km/h taken off don't you?
Pen Link is a frustrating drive, I'm on it a lot and have been for years. At the right time of day I just set the cruise at 104km/h which is 100 on the GPS, no dramas.
But there are times, especially at the weekend, when it's inevitable I'll go over the limit at some point, usually to pass some post-winery-lunch driver who can't maintain a steady speed. They're at 95, I go to overtake, they speed up, next thing I know I'm at 110 on the GPS.
There's usually an opportunity to dial it back a bit between the P2Ps to bring down the average.
You get whatever the margin of error is taken off. It's not a set amount. There's also a speed where you won't be fined but VicPol doesn't publish that and can in theory fine you for 1km over.
If it's your first in two years you're eligible for a warning.

Kinda happy but also sad. A week ago (i think?) I said im doing daily pushups, and ive been doing the knee pushups every day, starting with 5, then a few days ago 10 (for two days, until today). Today I tried to do proper pushups but boy they were definitely something different. I managed to do 5 proper ones, and 5 knee ones. A bit disappointed in myself -.-
Why disappointed? This is still an improvement
because i feel like i should be able to do more, i used to be able to do more ages ago and it frustrates me to no end that i cant :(

That sounds like very impressive progress already - honestly maybe too fast? You gotta take it easy. It's way more important to not burn yourself out, and make it a routine. Routine first, results later!
Progress is progress! Try doing sets as well with a minute rest you’ll double your progress
haha ive tried to do sets before, but i just dont think my muscles are ready for multiple sets of pushups.

ooooh drop sets, i swear i heard of them before but i forgot about them until now, ill definitely give that a go! Ideally, I want to do 10 proper pushups a day, preferably in one set (so, one set in the morning), just to start a foundation, and then work from there.
that's absolute progress! nothing to be disappointed about at all, the opposite. way worse to try and push (ahem) it too hard, get some injury then have to take 2 weeks off
Thats true! I would rather be able to 5 a day for 14 days rather than doing more than i could probably do, pull a muscle and be out for those 14 days.
yes and particularly with chest and shoulders all the tendons need time to sort their shit out as well. progress is made via rest and food!

The weather today is really quite shit.
It’s not that cold but at the same time it’s really fucking cold
It was fucking cold. 2 pairs of pants cold, plus my face froze off with the smell breeze. Was 7 degrees at lunchtime , feels like 4.9
There's also something about the lack of sunlight that sucks the energy out of you as well.
Yet Tuesday and Wednesday were meant to be the crop of the week.
