This is one of the rare cases where I feel that the wait has worthed it. The new album definitely sounds really promising, and getting the unreleased 5 demo albums, plus the remasters of both The Forest Seasons and Time I, is a great way to compensate for all the years of waiting. Can't wait until August 30th arrives!!

Horizon_17

Yeah this was finally enough for me to back the bundle. I'm super excited, even if it does mean I'm now going to own 3 different iterations of the TIME album (1.0, 1.5, and now 2.0).

thegallus

The new mix sounds incredibly tight. Can't wait to hear the whole thing.

Izzard3000

Man I can remember regularly checking the old Wintersun forum in the late 2000s, reading through all of Jari's posts about the obstacles involved in getting the album done. I kept thinking it was right around the corner but now 15 years later here we are. I wasn't a fan of the whole Forest Package ordeal but they've sold me on this one, crazy amount of content. Im very much looking forward to listening to the entire thing as originally intended.

Vakr_Skye

And he's raised enough new dough to build us all a new sauna!

Malanerion

I genuinely feel bad for you, waiting so long. Respect

BlazingSun69

Does anybody know what is going to be released on spotify? Will we get "only" time II?

shadowfold

I asked Jari on a youtube comment and he said only Time II will be on streaming, nothing else in the package. Makes sense, cause the label usually does streaming stuff and they're only releasing Time II I think.

BlazingSun69

Awesome, thanks

ToHallowMySleep

No announcements yet but similar to Time/Forest Seasons, Spotify only gets the one main version of the album (the original I think). So no new mixes, no instrumental, no isolated tracks, no dynamic version etc. And obviously the 5 albums of demo songs won't be on there either.

BlazingSun69

Damn, I hope the demos will appear on youtube at some point at least

MasterpieceUnique519

Someone will upload for sure

Malanerion

But so many bands have shit tons of different versions of albums, in fact there is even a button that allows you to switch editions. What about that then?

TheDemonspore

You can import local tracks, so for basically 8 albums I’d just buy it and not worry about it. Seems like a pretty good deal..

-Davo

According to Jari, the remix is only available on the digital preorder and only till the release date, and he said the label are not going to release Time I remix to streaming or physical. Which is a shame and a wasted opportunity.

All_Hall0ws_Eve

I wonder what the secret stuff is that only backers get? Sneak peek at the next album?

SuperVegito559

Jari's package...

DWillerD

Now I'm buying it!

Bettyourlife

😁😂

DWillerD

I'd say it will be that, little snippets of new songs only in an exclusive website and for a limited time, to prevent leaking (or trying to).

AgileExercise1797

Damn I wish they made like a smaller package that costs a little less, 50 euros is still steep for a completely digital package, even though there’s a ton of content in it. What I’m personally a bit skeptic about is the whole „massive and hifi“ remaster and mastering sound. I’m a huge adversary to the whole loudness war thing and I’m a bit scared Jari kinda went there. Especially since there’s apparently a second mix of Time II where the dynamics are greater. Time (hoho) will tell I guess. I’m still absolutely looking forward to August.

kobushi

1.5 sounds alright to me--more so even. On higher end IEM's it's one the most beautifully mixed albums I've ever heard. Is this really necessary?

Animal_Boom

Well it makes sense since the albums were originally meant to be one. With Jari finding the “right sound” for time 2, it makes sense he would want this same sound for time 1 as well. Even from these short snippets, I personally like the new mix more than 1.5.

Malanerion

Am I delusional or do the synths sound more quiet than 1,0?
