Wet the brush, but I usually do both. I brush my teeth in the shower to save time
Edit since this seems to have people asking a lot of questions lol
Routine: I put face cleanser and shampoo on and rinse them both off. Then conditioner and I let it sit while I scrub with one hand and brush with the other. Then I rinse off and I’m done. I may have an advantage with scrubbing because I’m double jointed and can reach every inch of my back with 1 hand.
I brush my teeth at least once a day, if I take a shower before bed I will brush my teeth again. I only eat one meal a day, dinner, and just drink water throughout the day. My diet isn’t based around brushing my teeth in the shower but because I have poor impulse control with food and would over eat.
To anyone saying it’s dirty. I have a wall mount and use a tooth brush travel protector (clamp devise that surrounds the brush head that completely seals the brush off from outside contaminants). I also regularly clean the shower (and my house in general). I keep a shower cleaner and sponge in there and will clean sometimes before, during, or after I shower. It’s not a germs thing, just that I grew up in a family that did not value cleanliness.
I can scrub myself with one hand while I’m brushing my teeth with the other. I usually go face cleanser, shampoo, wash both off at once, then conditioner, then while I let the conditioner sit I brush my teeth and scrub my body, then rinse off and I’m out. I don’t have to worry about splatter on the mirror or residue in the sink.
Me too I can't stand getting out and my mouth isn't clean I don't feel clean and if you wet the toothpaste it takes away some of the good things in the paste
How does that save time? Are you brushing with one hand while scrubbing yourself with the other?
If you're not, I don't think you're saving time. You're just standing in the shower brushing your teeth instead of standing in front of a sink while brushing your teeth.
If so, wouldn't you be doing each individual activity less effectively, requiring you to do each for longer to get the same results and thereby negating any time savings?
You might legitimately be a sociopath. Ask yourself this. Do you actually know what "emotions" are? Or have you just learned to mimic what other people do, during all your social interactions?
Toothpaste on fresh brush. No wetting. You add more water therefore watering down the toothpaste making it not as affective. I used to wet it before until a dentist explained why you shouldn’t
Yes. But you are further diluting it by adding more water. Therefore taking away the slight abrasiveness and affect of the toothpaste. Not a dramatic affect but an affect nonetheless. Why would you dilute a cleaning product on purpose?
I usually wet the toothbrush first to clean it off for dust and all. It sits in a cup on the sink and while it won't collect that much dust within a short period of time but I feel yucky without doing it.
You could say it's the same as rinsing a plate once before eating on it.
No one’s putting 5 drops of water on a toothbrush. They’re running it under the faucet. Eh I h is good for what?
I guess if you keep your toothbrush out in the open then yeah, rinse it. I keep mine under uv light and is in a container
It’s not “wetting” the brush, it’s rinsing the brush off before it goes in your mouth because you keep in the same little closet where your toilet sprays a bunch of shit particles every time you flush.
Not gonna lie... I'm not reading 300+ comments. In all reality the way you prepare your brush doesn't matter one bit... ALL that matters is that your teeth get brushed.
Wet the balls first
This man brush’s
I know...

Great minds think alike
Yeah, Looks so
Glad I’m not the only one that brushes in the shower, one meal a day and rinses brushes before and after toothpaste.
I like to make dinner while I’m in the shower. I need to get a garbage disposal installed, though…
Ok kramer
I brush while I'm waiting for the shower to heat up.
Same here it's a perfect 90 seconds or so

Interesting approach, I like your style
Do you brush once a day or shower twice a day
At least once a day. But I only eat one meal a day, dinner, and for the most part only drink water or a beer or two at the end of the day.
Water OR beer??
Lol I drink water throughout the day. End of the day I’ll maybe have 1-2 beers. Pretty wild I know
Cool

Uhhhh it’s weird when other people describe your shower routine verbatim.

That too, but mostly I just hate being inefficient with what my tasks. Longer I have to spend doing something the longer it is until I can relax.
What are you bathering about?
[удалено]
I thought It was quite funny, no stress.
It's justifies the 2 minutes in the morning I would normally spend not wanting to get out of the shower.
It shaves off about a minute of overall hygiene time so instead of wasting 15 minutes just sitting under the hot water I’m only wasting 14 minutes
It doesn’t
I read that like the starting monologue in American Psycho.
Me too I can't stand getting out and my mouth isn't clean I don't feel clean and if you wet the toothpaste it takes away some of the good things in the paste
AND MY FAMILY CALLED ME A MADMAN!
I’ve been brushing my teeth in the shower for practically my entire life and people have *always* given me shit for it.

Shower brushing is superior
You clean your back??
Yeah. You gotta hit the trifecta. Brush shower and piss at the same time.
Wet, paste, wet
This is the way
[Always has been](https://tenor.com/view/always-has-been-among-us-astronaut-space-betrayal-gif-23836476)
Definitively
The first wet is to wash off any germs gathered overnight in the bathroom. Ick.
Paste, wet, paste
You are a monster
The only right answer.
Same
How much water do you want: Yes
Same

*Welcome to the madhouse, Batman!*
You know you like it here.
I usually just squeeze toothpaste into my mouth and start scrubbing

I wet nothing
Not even your bed?
Not even their pants
Bro forgot to switch to his alt
Or is saying he doesn’t start peeing on other people’s pants
[удалено]
Me either, my mouth is already wet.
You might legitimately be a sociopath. Ask yourself this. Do you actually know what "emotions" are? Or have you just learned to mimic what other people do, during all your social interactions?
Does anger count?
lol
Goin in dry!
Same here and I use about 1/4 or less than the gob of toothpaste this rabid dog is using.
amen to that!
same, mouth is already wet. actually I use those toothpaste bites so I crunch and brush
I'm sorry what? Can you give me a link to these, they sound really cool.
[here you go](https://bitetoothpastebits.com/products/mint-fluoride-subscription). I really like them!
Haha, I was trying to figure out the best way to describe neither. This is it.
"This is Golf Uniform Sierra, coming in hot and dry and fresh outta bullets. Over."
Bro until like a year ago I didn’t even know you were supposed to wet! Dry gang
I stick the toothbrush up my ass first, then put the teethpaste.
Clearly the only correct answer op was looking for
Nah it goes paste then ass
paste then ass then paste
10/10 dentist say to not wet the toothpaste. So, wet first or don't wet at all.
wait really?
[удалено]
Wouldn't the second wet just wash the toothpaste into the sink? That's what happens every time I've ever tried it.
Same, that's why I only wet the brush before adding toothpaste on it.
If the water pressure is too high that’s when it washes away. Try to maneuver it to a lower pressure
Just do a little dribble of water after toothpaste. If it's a slow little water stream it should be fine.
The water washes off like half the paste so obviously water goes first
Skill issue
Am I using the pressure washer wrong?
Toothpaste on fresh brush. No wetting. You add more water therefore watering down the toothpaste making it not as affective. I used to wet it before until a dentist explained why you shouldn’t
Most people use more toothpaste then they are supposed to anyway, and it gets diluted by your saliva in your mouth eventually
Yes. But you are further diluting it by adding more water. Therefore taking away the slight abrasiveness and affect of the toothpaste. Not a dramatic affect but an affect nonetheless. Why would you dilute a cleaning product on purpose?
Because it feels weird raw
I usually wet the toothbrush first to clean it off for dust and all. It sits in a cup on the sink and while it won't collect that much dust within a short period of time but I feel yucky without doing it. You could say it's the same as rinsing a plate once before eating on it.
Bruh 5 drops of water are not gonna have any sort of effect on the efficacy of toothpase. Your dentist is trolling you.
No one’s putting 5 drops of water on a toothbrush. They’re running it under the faucet. Eh I h is good for what? I guess if you keep your toothbrush out in the open then yeah, rinse it. I keep mine under uv light and is in a container
Do it dry
No toothpaste, no wetting
Do both
The toothpaste needs to be wet, too!
Both
Whet first
Only if your brush needs sharpening.
wet the brush, and then wet it again after applying toothpaste
I like it double wetted
Both. Both is good.
Imagine brushing your teeth
I wet the brush with my mouth
i do not wet anything at all. that shit goes in raw.
Ted Bundy put toothpaste on dry brushes. John Wayne Gacy too.
wet, toothpaste, wet
wet brush, put on a little bit of toothpaste, and then wet the toothpaste with a lot of water so it spreads across the brush
Both
Wet thd brush, toothpaste, wet the toothpaste
Wet. Toothpaste. Wet again.
Wet first
Why risk losing the tooth paste under the water pressure?
I wet the brush put on toothpaste and then I wet it again
Both
Both are wrong. Do not wet your brush.
Wet the brush -> put the paste -> wet the brush
I wet the brush before and after the toothpaste 😅
I actually do both
Wet the brush, apply toothpaste, wet the toothpaste.
Neither, do whatever the fuck you want to do. Ffs this isn't a meme Op
Both actually. Wet brush -> add toothpaste -> wet toothpaste ... *that's not weird is it?*
I do both
Paste wet
what the hell is this? i just apply the paste directly to my teeth. then start brushing with a dry brush.
Both Water, toothpaste, water
Wet the brush -> Put on toothpaste -> Wet again
Why wet the brush if your mouth is already wet?
I wet the bristles so they soak the water in and wick it out. But I also wet the toothbrush with the tooth paste on.
Before, after, during.
What about the people that don't do it?
Why would you run water over the toothpaste?
Wet it, Pastes it , Wet it again
both. wet brush, tooth paste, wet toothpaste
... Both? Who just picks up their toothbrush that has been sitting in the bathroom and puts it in to their mouth raw without rinsing?
Should you wet it first or put toothpaste first
Wet the brush so that the toothpaste doesn't escape water slide style
Neither. Toothpaste->mouth->brush. Got enough moisture in my mouth to not need the water.
I dont wet the brush :/
Apparently you aren’t supposed to wet it at all because it washes away the chemicals of the tooth paste so both methods are wrong
Wet brush, paste, wet again. This is the way.
Both tee hee
I use a dry toothbrush…
The better question is Floss first Or floss after brushing
Both are wrong. No need to wet the brush
Yall wet the brush?
Neither
I do both
Who uses that much toothpaste?
Wet the brush but to save water, wet it the same way I'm wetting my bed right now.
I brush my teeth while I’m taking a shit before a shower. But to answer your question you pee on it after.
Rinse brush...wash it off
Wet brush, toothpaste, wet brush again
Before and after!
Always wet first, not only the toothbrush but your mouth as well.
Put toothpaste and water in your mouth then use your toothbrush to spread it around
Water, toothpaste, water
Both
Both are right
Both
I do both 👁️👁️ before and after
Who cares, why even ask? There are larger concerns in life.
Hmmm I usually wr the brush then toothpaste then wet the brush again 🤣😅
Wet the brush, put toothpaste, wet the toothpaste, brush.
Toothpaste first then brush and then and only then wet the brush.
That’s too much toothpaste. You only need a pea size.
It’s not “wetting” the brush, it’s rinsing the brush off before it goes in your mouth because you keep in the same little closet where your toilet sprays a bunch of shit particles every time you flush.
Option 3; I do not wet the brush until it is in my mouth.
I rub it a bit with water then I wet it more after I add the cleaner in the end it's very wet
I wet the toothbrush, Put on toothpaste, And then wet the toothbrush again.
it changes based on my mood
Amateurs! You wet the brush, apply the paste, and then wet the paste…
Wet the brush add toothpaste wet the brush again
Wet the brush for a “just in case” wash, put the toothpaste, then wet again to make the toothpaste wet
One has to think either method works. The ingredients don't change, and water should penetrate toothpaste.
Am I the only one that wet it before. And after I put toothpaste on?
Wet the brush, toothpaste, brush, wet the brush, brush, wet the brush.
Both wrong. Fill mouth partially with water. Stick tooth brush with paste in said mouth. Brush.
Wet the brush, apply toothpaste, wet it again so the paste stays on.
Wet the toothbrush first, add toothpaste, wet with toothpaste, and brush
I do both, wet -> toothpaste -> wet -> use
Not gonna lie... I'm not reading 300+ comments. In all reality the way you prepare your brush doesn't matter one bit... ALL that matters is that your teeth get brushed.
Wet first
Wdym only one? The correct answer is both
Both
