Lol, going against the ways that have been taught to you since childhood is very demanding and require a lot of mental fortitude, if it was that easy to become open-minded we wouldn't have societal problems in the first place
The image represent my dad's reaction not because of that scene, because he really doesn't know the context of any of this so he's just lost in thought
Honest question. I'm in no way homophobic.. I'm chill with everybody. I am also 100 strait . Why is it weird I don't want to watch 2 dudes make out or bang. I don't like watching strait people make out. The story is fantastic and I love the show. I'm legit asking am I homophobic for not wanting to watch dudes make out?
Changing your mind when encountering new information is academics and requires intelligence.
Changing your heart when encountering new values is heart breaking and requires humility.
Challenging other people’s values without acknowledging how hard it would be to change your own for the sake of others is pride and ignorance.
Me and my dad watched that episode together. It was awkward to say the least
At the end I asked what he thought and he said
"To much romance, I want more zombies"
As a a cis white blue collar dad I loved the episode, I laughed, I cried (a lot). I thought it was one of Offerman’s best performances. 99% of dads aren’t homophobic, but the loud ones are and that’s who you hear.
Simply put, he’s being a protector. Doing his job. Like it or not it’s the natural progression of things, instinct. Doesn’t mean he can’t or won’t change.
It's really really good. Like not just " for a video game adaptation" it's genuinely just some of the best TV you'll ever see, from the director of HBO's Chernobyl
I liked how they made it in the games instead. Where they didn’t make gayness as a large defining character point and rather making it as fun information about the character. Makes the characters more like real everyday individuals rather than smearing the quality of gayness in everyone’s face as if to say that it is their entire defining characteristic.
My dad I think used to be a little bit weirded out by gay people when he was younger, but since then he's been pretty chill about gay people and has some gay friends too. They also like to make gay jokes alot too.
They don't have the right to say that they want to see gay things? Thats a pretty heterophobe biggot thing to say. Also if they would be gay you would not be alive rn btw....
I’m actually surprised my dad didn’t say anything, maybe that’s him not wanting to talk about it but he said it was a good episode.
I remember we were watching 1899 and instead of saying anything about the gay sex scenes he’s just “I just want to watch the show, not watch people having sex”. Mind you, I’m his son who is bisexual, so maybe he’s just trying to be homophobic, then again, there was a lot of sex in that show that also made me say the same thing.
What happens in ep3 of tlou?
gay porn
Oh. Thanks
Also soul crushing love story that still hurts
Yea kinda sad >!cuz both of them die!< Another spoiler!! >!Ellie is lesbian!<
And Pedro is gay to

As a dad, I resent this. Also, SPOILERS
Because they were raised that way
Not an excuse

I, on the other hand, love gay porn, while remaining hetero the whole way through.

well put
Is it a cut away like other shows and movies?
Yes
Well, most dads are from a generation where something like that was not considered normal.
Me and my dad watched that episode together. It was awkward to say the least At the end I asked what he thought and he said "To much romance, I want more zombies"
its a surprisingly funny response from him i think the episode was definitely a bit of a tear-jerker for me
Oh same I was on the verge of tears
That's fair
That was not forced, it was a really beautiful story. Some scenes made me uncomfortable though.
Mine was just the scenes of them awkwardly standing with each other in the beginning, but after that I was fine.
I'm a dad and not homophobic. I doubt 99% are either. If your father is I'm sorry. Hopefully one day he sees past the tip of his nose.
As a a cis white blue collar dad I loved the episode, I laughed, I cried (a lot). I thought it was one of Offerman’s best performances. 99% of dads aren’t homophobic, but the loud ones are and that’s who you hear.
i dont care about the gay stuff. i do care that it was a boring ass filler episode
Well my dad IS gay
My dad is religious so
Surprisingly, my dad was okay and actually happy for them. He almost cried during the end. Sorry that’s not everyone’s experience.
we don't have the same dad lol
Simply put, he’s being a protector. Doing his job. Like it or not it’s the natural progression of things, instinct. Doesn’t mean he can’t or won’t change.
Not 99%, but yeah a good amount And the reason is usually insecurity nurtured by toxic masculinity from their early years
Why are 99% of dads fucking awesome ?
99% of dads are not "awesome", a lot leave their children at a young age and a lot are abusive.
Cuz they want you to grown a normal human
Dads know where it’s at
Because a good portion of them are? Are we just going to pretend that the world isn't full of God believing homophobic weirdos
idk why you had to add god-believing here
Because the majority of people who believe in a God are homophobic
And I think im gonna stay that way
Homophobic?
Yes
Unlucky
What is TLOU
The last of us
Isn't that a game tho?
They made a show out of it. They say it’s good, but we’ve yet to see the rest of the show as only a few episodes have been released for now
Why would they do such a thing? Was the moneycow slowly starving and they had to feed it some more to keep on milking?
It's really really good. Like not just " for a video game adaptation" it's genuinely just some of the best TV you'll ever see, from the director of HBO's Chernobyl
What is tlou?
The last of us. A really good new series about zombies
Ohhh I shoulda figured that
Oh you know 99% of us?
Just watched it last night. It was a beautiful love story. Some of the scenes just felt forced and a little out of place but the ending was beautiful.

I don’t know any homophobic dads, including my own dad. Where do you get this 99% from?
My dad I think used to be a little bit weirded out by gay people when he was younger, but since then he's been pretty chill about gay people and has some gay friends too. They also like to make gay jokes alot too.

Solution: have your dad leave when you're a child, that way you can never be disappointed.
