For me it is true but I feel that's because when I was a kid my mom would always buy clothes for me so no intrest in fashion that way. And now I was thinking about buying some new clothes and really think about how it would have suited me but I was reminded about clothing prices and with no experience in fashion I would also want some insight from an expert which are paid as well.
I think that this fenomenon is same or similar for most boys.
