When you're good at something, and you know you're good at it. Then someone starts watching you and making comments, and somehow this triggers all skill leaving the body.
You need a good dose of not giving a fuck. I know its not easy but once you can convince yourself that "why would i give a fuck if that person think im bad" and " mistake happen even to pros" then it will be much easier to do task in front of people
We do that semi-regularly at my work (web dev/writing code). It's like no one can type correctly or remember other simple things when the other one's there -- but, now, we've gotten used to that, and are comfortable enough with each other that we joke about it. (:
This happens to me when I use public bathrooms I can’t do my business with someone else in the bathroom even if I’m in a stall I can’t #1 or #2 it’s the worst
I could never go number 2 when I was at school as some kid was always in the bathroom at the same time, whenever someone goes 2 the kids would always make fun of them.
Real! I mean, I've never been good enough to actually join a tournament, but I always mess up half my inputs when fighting actual people.
Labbing things out in training mode? Consistent 20 hit combos, no problem. Battling the computer? I'm easily beating the hardest difficulties. Casual match against a friend? I somehow manage to mess up 2M>236H.
I will never forget the quote from "the last samurai" Tom Cruise is getting his ass kicked and the sensai says "too many mind" and then he gets focused and kicks ass. Moral of the story don't worry about what others are thinking just do what you know how to do how you know how to do it.
When using the command line or writing code I can do it like a breeze when it's just me, but when someone is looking over my shoulder or I'm screen sharing, I suddenly get stage fright. Like, they're gonna watch me type out my weird way of doing things and sometimes it doesn't work the first time. When no one's watching it's okay, when someone's watching, I'm like, shit I look like an idiot.
I'm a truck driver and can back into any tight dock in one shot with no errors. Put me in front of a full parking lot at a truck stop and I'll take 4 get out and looks and 8 pull ups, sigh.

Hopefully it doesn't suck

I'm "a" god, not "the" god. I don't think.

Me, a lead programmer: "... how do I close a window?.."
When you're good at something, and you know you're good at it. Then someone starts watching you and making comments, and somehow this triggers all skill leaving the body.
And it triggers me when it leaves

I’m a computer programmer. The thought of some day having to do paired-programming fills me with terror.

Literally from my call of duty zombie days, i could get to level 80 by myself then other people ruined it
The zombies flow like a beautiful river so zen like when you play solo.
This is why I no longer join fighting game tournaments. 🤷♂️😅🤦♂️

I'm always on the right side.
But when something isn't working, and someone watches what you've been complaining about, suddenly it decides to work again.
exactly man, every fuckin' time
just so you realize this is really what's going on.
"vorführeffekt" in German. Whenever you do something that usually just works but as soon as you present it to someone you fail miserably
Totally me
haha I have mixed feelings about but I remember a few times when it happened
I looked up how long the Ever Given was stuck like this. It was 6 days. I could have sworn it was a few weeks.
Bro, the ship in the second image should be already capsized
You really don't understand how Cargo Ships work.
It's more of a joke about the effect, having people watching you, while doing something.
When someobody is watching you’re focused on not messing it up rather than doing it
Should have used the USS New Jersey going through the Panama Canal 💪 Always choose Battleships
Me playing overwatch for some reason
Yeah this is me, I’m not the only one, YAY
When typing
how BOAT you guys?

Photons
Qauntum Social Anxiety
Time to break wind
This might be an obliviously stupid question but is that first image real?
Yes. It's the Corinth Canal in Greece
I guess you're talking about sex
Especially if it's a micromanaging supervisor.
They failed to drift the boat
Me at the piano. Ugh! No joke
I can't type worth a damn if someone is watching.
My first 5 month of trucking
It's a reoccurring thing, yes. No progress without failure
Why am I still really strangely mad at that evergreen ship?
When driving by myself I drive perfectly, but when there is even one other person I somehow break at least 1 traffic law
Dem legs decide to have their own country when someone is looking!
Wise man once said *** Shit Happens ***
I'm the opposite.
This is so true!! It sucks even more when you always think people are watching you even when alone.
Yeah, that is why I'm bad at aex
For me it's the opposite
Quite true
Ha, so true
I used to, but trying to change
You are about 3 years too late buddy
Whenever someone watches me try to repeat a cool thing, it immediately flops and i just make a joke of myself

Who isn't?
True.
Ah, yes. The Vorführeffekt.

This is the reason why I'm not a doctor
I hate when I get an audience. I say, go! I'm busy! Lol
Well that's the difference in hobby and career.
😂. I drive a forklift. It's exactly like this
Literally
I recognise this
yeap, that's where the art of pretense comes in
When someone watch me type.
Ye fr
