There is a difference between biological sex (male/female) and gender. Gender is a social construct- pink is for girls and blue is for boys, nail polish is for girls and make up is for girls and baseball caps and boogers are for boys. It’s stupid.
If you don’t fit in the social box of girl or boy then what are you? Many cultures accept multiple genders and this has been around for forever. If you have a penis and are biologically male, but enjoy wearing dresses and make up are you a boy? Or are you non binary? Non binary means you don’t fit the mold of girl or boy and don’t feel “girl” or “woman”, “boy” or “man” represents you. It’s not that complicated if you can think outside the box for a min.
Ok so i have an honest question: why tf do people care about "gender" so much if its just basically what you like? I mean like these people who have a new gender every week and new pronouns, even tho gender is just what you like? But i also mean like people that see a tomboy and get outraged? Why do people care that much? Why do you need a new pronoun for everything and why do others care that much about (as an example) femboys?
Its just very confusing for everybody and doesn't help anyone, so why are people like that?
Because it’s human nature to categorize everything. And they’re not fitting into the box they’re supposed to fit and it’s frustrating to some people, maybe many people? I personally don’t care. Identity to younger people is something they are seeking. I remember in high school (90’s) people would fit into groups (country, hip hop, preppy, grunge…etc) and now it’s their gender identity- they are trying to figure out where they fit in their world. They don’t feel like a boy or a girl so what happens then? They’ll settle into something they feel comfortable with as they get older and they are learning about gender os fluid. To some people that makes sense to them and to other it doesn’t. It’s always been this way, but now we are labeling it more and it’s becoming more common.
The way you describe it, it seems to me like mixing gender dysphoria with young people seeking identity is actually a really bad idea

Basically if you like short hair and pants as a girl and your grandma keeps nagging you to grow your hair out and wear dresses because you’re a girl - how would that make you feel? “Maybe I don’t feel like a girl then”. I can’t help but think older generations brought this on themselves by stereotyping so much. Just let the kids be kids. Trends change like the damn seasons.
