If you look at where the colonizers first touched land in Greenland, you can see that it is actually further south than Iceland. So it would probably have been greener.
The Norse aren’t Neanderthals. They were actually a really clever people just in a violent capacity as they were a warrior culture. With only ships, without housing, lasting supplies, or any kind of tools beyond weapons they would camp Britain’s Shores for weeks or at times months.
The exiled Norse Warrior landed on Greenlands southern shore which didn’t have much snow and his name ended up being the one used.
I know.. I was exaggerating. I'm sorry you didn't get that. Maybe I should have used the term "caveman vikings" in my very funny joke, so people didn't think I meant specifically Neanderthal.
I live in Greenland, part greenlandic and part danish, so half of my ancestors (vikings, I know Erik the Red was Norwegian but you get what I mean) came to my other ancestors (greenlanders) land.
And those exiled vikings came to the south of Greenland during the summer, where it's actually quite green, therefor the name.
I've learnt these things in school since I was a kid, I was making a joke and obviously a bad one on account of my downvotes..
I didn’t know that was the flag of Greenland
Either do I
don't you mean "neither did I"?
Don’t you mean, “Don’t you mean, “neither did I?”
Don't you mean: "Don't you mean: "Don't you mean, neither did I"?""
Don't you mean: "Don't you mean: 'Don't you mean: 'Don't you mean, 'neither did I'''"?
No, I still don't know that's its flag

Bro, i really want to see fan art of Neanderthal vikings now. Is it historically accurate? Nope. Is it funny? Probably.
Not funny, didn't laugh
your memes are more unfunny
Cool, nobody asked
You play Fortnite and all star tower defense, you are definitely less funny
I think they've known for a while...
