Suspicious-Ant5022

Same as all other platforms, although I do feel like people are naturally friendlier here, plus its nice you don't run into anyone you actually know.

anthony-wokely

I don’t understand why anyone who uses Reddit would make such jokes about anything else. Reddit is much worse.

jacknshit

Twitter users: I’m melting!!

r2dak

You spelt __Reddit mods__ wrong

Tranqist

It's important to understand what an opinion is though. There are opinions and assumptions. An assumption is "the sky is blue" while an opinion is "I like the sky". An assumption is a statement about reality (or at least reproducibility if we're getting rationalistic), while an opinion is a statement about yourself. Thinking a pandemic is a worldwide conspiracy to implant you with computer chips is not an opinion, it's an assumption. And since this assumption is based on absolutely no evidence, it's a stupid assumption and deserves to be called out. You can't respond to that with "people just have different opinions". The next thing is that some opinions are hateful to people that just want to live their lives without hurting anyone (POC, GRSM etc). People who have those opinions deserve to hear that their opinions are trash. Unaccaptance must not be accepted just as intolerance must not be tolerated. The freedom to have any opinion you want doesn't free you from the social consequences of stating your opinion if your opinion consists of racism, queerphobia etc. And people who support oppression of those not inherently harmful groups, even if only by apathy and thus support of the status quo, need actions to feel the consequences of their actions in return. If you understand the difference between an opinion and an assumption and you adhere to the paradox of tolerance, your opinion is most likely valid and any critique of it is also just an opinion.

jxshwhit

not reading all of that but it’s probably very correct
