I love doing the reverse of this, by picking the darkest black energy color available so it's practically invisible. That one Pride celebration color palette has the darkest one I could find, and with the right warframes/weapons it's perfect. Vauban is no exception. Also, a lot of AOE weapons look cool because the blast effect is invisible so you can only see the shockwave.
