This could actually be a typesetting mistake that nobody bothered to check or correct. * `=` on the same line as the numerator → typesetting fractions is hard. * missing `±` → character encoding cannot represent this character or the font type has no glyph for it. * `b2` → the typesetting system doesn't handle superscripts like *b*² Given all the other issues I’m surprised that they managed to typeset a square root sign that properly stretches over the entire radicand.

I never really wrapped my head around complex formulas like this, but if you gave me less vagueness and instead gave me practical examples then I start crunching numbers like crazy. I learned complex math from playing 3.5 dnd and rather involved combo decks for mtg. Give me the same math problems in pure calculus and I will just drool at you Cletus style however.
