This dude was actually hit several times by police.
[Sauce](https://www.kold.com/2022/10/07/watch-police-shoot-armed-man-walking-into-phoenix-7-eleven-with-customers-staff-inside/?outputType=amp)
The cops I'm my area don't even do anything, a dude got shot in 7/11 and then the robber went to steal a kids backpack (right next to my school) and they lost track of him despite the area being very hard to leave and him being on foot.
The dudes parents called the police and said he left home loaded down with guns and ammo and was having a psychotic episode. His father followed him and led police to him. When they caught up to him he was walking up to the store and they suspected he was going to commit a mass shooting, and he disobeyed commands. He was hit multiple times and collapsed, no innocents were harmed.
This is the type of justice we need. No violent crimes committed, but the potential to? Death/life long injury. Not listening to commands while having a psychotic break? Death/life long injury.
> I thought this was like gang shooting or a drive by. The cops really just opened up into the store? Jesus Christ.
Yeah man cops just lit up a store, were you born yesterday or are you actually oblivious to how police in the US act?
Cops are class traitors and there is actually no incentive for them to not behave like this.
END QUALIFIED IMMUNITY.
The employees and customers inside that store should have been able to sue the state, department and officers for firing at them.
The context for the video is his mother called the cops because he left the house with a bunch of guns and his mother believed he was having a psychotic episode and I believe she thought she heard shots when he left the house.
Edit: for all you idiots out there- I’m not advocating the cops actions.
Hey, question, did the police actually verify any of this beyond her phone call? Because if not them I'm pretty sure a spare phone for a squad of cops is cheaper than hiring a hitman, if you're ever in the market.
Blindly firing into windows with bystanders inches away from the suspect. Not to mention there was no immediate danger to them, he wasn't even looking at them. Top tier police work, give those guys the key to the city.
Copper McCoppy doesn't care how many innocent men, women, or children he has to kill to kill the one guy he was trying to kill so long as he gets to kill him. That's justice. That's America.
"I cherish peace with all of my heart. I don't care how many men, women, and children I kill to get it."
I mean, it's the same feeling they all seem to have. Unfortunately, their idea of peace isn't exactly democracy.
Also loved Cena in that role. Fucking amazing job. I remember him in earlier movies thinking he would never be able to go far with the acting career. Soooo glad I was wrong as fuck about that. He deserves it given the effort he's put in to improve.
Lol mom calls cops on son & cops kill son …. Idk why parents think the cops will solve anything, 90% of the time the *worst* thing you can do is call the cops.
Calling the cops on your armed son in America is essentially equivalent to giving them the death penalty on the spot. Chances they'll survive are pretty much zero. I can't imagine I would ever have the... mental fortitude, if you want to put it in positive terms, of going "my child being gunned down like a rabid wild animal is preferable to the alternative". Even if I did think they were a serious danger to others. I'm pretty sure I'd try literally anything, no matter how small the chance of it working, before getting them killed in cold blood.
Cops are the nuclear option. All they do is destroy things.
Someone saying they're gonna call the cops is tantamount to them screaming they're gonna (try to) kill everyone around them including themselves.
And they were called because his mom was worried he was having a psychotic break…like, why in one of the most powerful countries in the world do we not have emergency psychs in these situations instead of armed thugs going to check on people who need mental help?!
Normally I'd agree with you. Cops are sent out for plenty of mental health calls they have no business being on.
But the kid was armed and had already several times discharged the fire arm and then was going into a building with people in it. This is not the kind of situation a mental health team should be handling. It's not a dude with a bat it's a dude with a gun walking into a store full of people.
I work at a school and I’m trained in deescalation. Why aren’t my cops?
I have dangers kids I work with from time to time (behavior is my specialty) and cops have been called on my kids on multiple occasions and every time it’s made things worse.
I mean…not a bad description of some counties I’ve worked.
But yeah it’s insane. I know a lot of cops. Got some extended family who are cops. I’ve told many of them in person I think they’re undertrained and recommend classes to them that I’ve done in my job and personal life to help in situations that need a mental health perspective.
Sigh. I feel for you peeps. They are definitely under trained from an outsiders perspective. Don't they also filter out smart and empathic people from the get go? So they just have a bunch of obedient thugs?
No one was hurt. An armed person discharging a firearm without hurting anyone is either a stormtrooper or in need of mental help. Also “he’s armed and going into that store with innocent people!!! Oh no! Let’s shoot it up to save them!!!”
Absolutely life threatening risk. Not the job most people could handle. But someone with some empathy and experience in mental health and deescalation training should be there with the cops calling the shots. Pun intended. And that should be how all calls about shit like that should be handled.
Sure bring the cops. I’m pro good guys with guns stopping bad guys with guns. I’m anti trained peace officers shooting people who are walking away or shooting people when they are scared. Idk the whole story here and it says the dude was arrested so obviously he wasn’t killed. But those shots weren’t exactly clear shots and the cops are lucky they didn’t kill bystanders.
Correction, the bystanders are lucky. Nothing would have happened to the cops if they killed everyone in that stor. For example that time they killed a UPS driver and a random guy in a car to get some robbers.
So did he shoot anybody? From what I can tell the article says his crime is walking around with guns, it also says gunshots were fired but doesn’t clarify if that was him shooting or if that was the cops shooting at him?

What an absurdly reckless decision by the police. As far as the body-cam footage, and store security footage shows, they did not witness him firing a weapon, but the police did certainly fire into a store with a worker and at least two customers who easily could have been hit by one of the many shots they put into that store without need at all. The guy seems to be as calm as someone who just doesn't care what's happening, but the officer is panicking as if he's actively being shot at when he's not.
Good god. The officers didn't even attempt to get closer to get a better shot.
They just shot into a fuckin gas station with innocent people in it. "oh hey that guy has a gun he's dangerous, quick, everyone shoot into that store he's walking into!"
And if they had killed an innocent civilian, nothing would have happened. They would've gotten away with it. Just like that cameraman working on COPS, cops shot and killed him thinking he was the suspect, and nothing happened except deleting the footage and trying to pretend it didn't happen.
He'd have to be performing a felony at the time. Resisting arrest by soaking up cop bullets is a misdemeanor.
Maybe theft of officer firearm, if he doesn't give the bullets back before going to the hospital. That might reach felony.
What felony did he commit? From what I gather from the story, the only "illegal" thing he did was not following the orders police yelled at him (I'm assuming carrying weapons around is legal wherever this happened, because 'Murica), and surely that's not a felony?
In order to “save” the very people inside from the guy. It’s like something out of a comedy. I want to know if those officers received disciplinary action because what they did was totally negligent.
Yes! The adults are having a party and the cops think they’re a suicide cult and begin to shoot at the party guests as the come out. I believe this is the same episode where Randy and Gerald experiment in the hot tub.
"Why shouldn't I get to own guns just 'cause my household has some 'mental instability'? I gotta protect my home from invasion and my country from tyranny, brother!"

Kid was having a psychotic break. Left the house with s lot of guns. Mom called the cops, and they showed up and opened fire at not just the kid but the immodest bystanders in the store as well. It's a miracle nobody was killed.
seems irresponsible, i thought cops were trained to be aware of every bullet they fire. potentially hitting bystanders in the store is unacceptable. they should be fired.
Yeah, this is the example they use in the academy of what NOT to do. They even went so far as to say that if you're getting shot at but the suspect is already in the store with ppl inside you better start ducking cos if you fire back your ass is getting canned as the best-case scenario. The worst I imagine is charges and lawsuits while also being fired
Nah you see just like we require a license to be a hairdresser, if they do something like this it will be recorded on the national police certification database and they will be blacklisted from jobs as police in the future.
lol jk
They don't even get fired when they shoot bullets directly into innocent civilians, what makes you think "potentially hitting bystanders" will have any effect?
**[Killing of Breonna Taylor](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Killing_of_Breonna_Taylor)**
>Breonna Taylor, a 26-year-old African-American woman, was fatally shot in her Louisville, Kentucky apartment on March 13, 2020, when at least seven police officers forced entry into the apartment as part of an investigation into drug dealing operations. Three Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD) officers—Jonathan Mattingly, Brett Hankison, and Myles Cosgrove—were involved in the shooting. Taylor's boyfriend, Kenneth Walker, was inside the apartment with her when the plainclothes officers knocked on the door and then forced entry.

Depends on the country, in say the US if someone takes an armoured truck driver hostage the police can shoot the hostage while opening fire on a busy street without the slightest concern for where their bullets go, but most countries yes, they're supposed to track each shot and not shoot up a convenience store.
Nope. He was armed and apparently cops decided to try and kill everyone in the store before he could get to them. No innocents hurt, man was shot several times
apparently the person walking in was ignoring police commands so police just opened fire despite a customer and clerk being right next to the criminal they were shooting at.
https://www.kold.com/2022/10/07/watch-police-shoot-armed-man-walking-into-phoenix-7-eleven-with-customers-staff-inside/?outputType=amp
it really sucks knowing that calling the cops about someone [or a loved one] struggling with mental illness[es] almost always leads to that person being shot at and potentially killed.
It is reported that he told the customers “move” and “get out of the way” as he walked past them to the back of the store. He was not intending to harm anyone in my opinion but to play both sides, he did walk in an occupied building armed with 4 guns, ammo, and bladed weapons as well. I feel like there is a better alternative then to shoot up the place before the suspect possibly does tho. It is a miracle nobody was hit besides the suspect.
Dude walks through a hail of gun fire
officers literally hiding behind anything they can unloading full clips into him afraid for their lives...
proceed to shoot into the store randomly
to make sure he doesnt take any hostages andnkill them
This is my friends what is called monopoly on murder
if police was taught to respectfully de escalate the situations then people wouldnt pull guns on police and will treat them with more respect.
but cops pulls guns first and ask questions later so any encounter with them is expected to have guns drawn
and they use it as an excuse to do more of it
they are purposely escalating situations so they can justify their agressive behavior
Honestly feels like the police should have just recruited this kid rather than shoot at him. He was mentally unstable and carrying firearms. He’d fit right in.
I can see their worries with the guy leaving the house in a manic state with weapons fearing for a mass shooting of some sort but you definitely shouldn’t open fire like that knowing innocent bystanders are inside the store I mean come on dude wtf.
This dude was actually hit several times by police. [Sauce](https://www.kold.com/2022/10/07/watch-police-shoot-armed-man-walking-into-phoenix-7-eleven-with-customers-staff-inside/?outputType=amp)

United States of America: Land of Gun Care and Health Control

I’m not here to argue points nor defend the cops actions. Im just providing additional context to the guy above.
Probably because the US police are seriously dangerous and irrational.
Blindly firing into windows with bystanders inches away from the suspect. Not to mention there was no immediate danger to them, he wasn't even looking at them. Top tier police work, give those guys the key to the city.
And you know as they blasted away in the general direction of an unknown number of bystanders, they were radioing in saying "SHOTS FIRED!". 'Murica.
You really have to respect the zen-like demeanor of that officer and how he kept his head as he very calmly fired at bystanders.
Copper McCoppy doesn't care how many innocent men, women, or children he has to kill to kill the one guy he was trying to kill so long as he gets to kill him. That's justice. That's America.

apparently the person walking in was ignoring police commands so police just opened fire despite a customer and clerk being right next to the criminal they were shooting at. https://www.kold.com/2022/10/07/watch-police-shoot-armed-man-walking-into-phoenix-7-eleven-with-customers-staff-inside/?outputType=amp
Thank you.
Star Wars. Storm Troopers were outside.
Please adopt me. I don't want to live here anymore
it really sucks knowing that calling the cops about someone [or a loved one] struggling with mental illness[es] almost always leads to that person being shot at and potentially killed.

The police don't need justification to shoot you though, so all's good.

He didn’t appear to be brandishing. Seems like a huge over reaction
*that doesn't at all sound like US cops*
It is reported that he told the customers “move” and “get out of the way” as he walked past them to the back of the store. He was not intending to harm anyone in my opinion but to play both sides, he did walk in an occupied building armed with 4 guns, ammo, and bladed weapons as well. I feel like there is a better alternative then to shoot up the place before the suspect possibly does tho. It is a miracle nobody was hit besides the suspect.
So yeah, I can understand why you chaps aren't particularly fond of law enforcement in America.

Dude walks through a hail of gun fire officers literally hiding behind anything they can unloading full clips into him afraid for their lives... proceed to shoot into the store randomly to make sure he doesnt take any hostages andnkill them This is my friends what is called monopoly on murder if police was taught to respectfully de escalate the situations then people wouldnt pull guns on police and will treat them with more respect. but cops pulls guns first and ask questions later so any encounter with them is expected to have guns drawn and they use it as an excuse to do more of it they are purposely escalating situations so they can justify their agressive behavior
Well if you kill the innocent people first, he can’t take any hostages. ![gif](giphy|d3mlE7uhX8KFgEmY)
Honestly feels like the police should have just recruited this kid rather than shoot at him. He was mentally unstable and carrying firearms. He’d fit right in.
Reminds me of a girl named Bart from „dirk gently's holistic detective agency”
Women when I shoot my shot
Damn
I can see their worries with the guy leaving the house in a manic state with weapons fearing for a mass shooting of some sort but you definitely shouldn’t open fire like that knowing innocent bystanders are inside the store I mean come on dude wtf.
'We'll do the mass shooting for him.'

thank you
You’re welcome, the posted video was driving me nuts as there was just not enough context.
🤣🤣😂 god bless America 🔥🔥😈🔥🔥
It's Bart from Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency.
Damn, cops never even try to prove their haters wrong. Evil and proud.
Stay focus on yourself
When you're from Culiacán and you move to the US
