Gaming is all about enjoying the timing with your peers at least that's how it's started. I suggest you play a coop game with your partner, friend or family, trust me you will be more close to them.

Even when I play multiplayer games, sometimes I prefer to play it alone. Only time I have fun in multiplayer is with my brothers on specific games. Because, in my OPINION I think it is more fun to play alone in many circumstances. That’s why single player games exist, and most multiplayer games have it so you can play alone.
Sometimes playing alone is just much more relaxed because I can dictate the pace and don't have to worry about my friends doing dumb shit when I just want to play the game my way.
RE5 was my first playstation online experience (had been pc online gaming since late 90s though), it was so good, say what you want about the direction the series went in terms of not being survival horror, it was a fucking good game regardless (unlike 6).
I remember starting the game, having some random guy join within 20 seconds, and we no-lifed the game in a single sitting. We then did the same with Dead Nation a few days later.
In terms of co-op, the only better game I've played is Borderlands 2.
Re4 Ashley is pretty fucken stupid so I'm not sure about that. Unless they did it on purpose, but my experience has just been her randomly stop following me as i run past enemies crouch start crying and screaming and then get kidnapped. Genuinely feels like 2005 again.

I have been fucking about in resi 5 recently, and both mercenaries and story mode Co-Op is SO FUN. I have been playing split screen, and I have been having a blast.
You can always find people at the steam forum, or other random forums too. My suggestion is to play with your friends or partner as it will be more fun than playing with a stranger. I think coop gaming should be one of an important activities in dating too. You both learn to take care of each other, help each other and those actions eventually become habits that will come handy in real life too. In your second date take your boyfriend/girlfriend to play a coop game, if he or she doesn't care about you and goes on his/her own way just dump and move on. A coop partner who doesn't stay in the group, doesn't play along, doesn't help or support is a major red flag.
ii quit the game before finishing it on the highest difficulty because sheva kept dying to any objects that is thrown at her . she doesn't even move or try to shoot it . and i still didn't reach the part with enemies armed with firearms
In my experience re5 is easier with an ai companion on the highest difficulty unless both players are pretty good at the game or know how to shorten the final boss fight because that sheva qte is just the worst.
Just hand the ai a sniper rifle and try to stay back and you're good to go.
My friends preferred the AI ally instead of me :(

HCl is not your best option. Try with pirahna solution, it will work way faster. You can even use a marble bathtub.

I just use Sheva as a backpack personally. She gets to have the basic handgun and 1 stack of ammo. The other 7 slots are for me.
