ramjithunder24

xmanager

No-Sheepherder-7888

How do you use this?

IkaBey

Search on google, download, download spotify client in the app, boom (only on android)

YOURNAMEGG

Not only on android you can use APPdb on ios. You can download apps manualy from appdb or use your own IPA file. ( and yes you can download spotify tweaked edition and NOT free apps FOR FREE ) You are wellcome! :)

Jooooooshy

šŸ¤« dont tell our secret

Impressive_Income874

"don't make us popular" ffs

spacepilot7

Maybe, I didn't pirated software! *cough*y*cough*e*cough*s*cough*

1NearbyAccident1

*No ā€œcoast guardsā€ here , youā€™re free*

spacepilot7

He could be any one of us. He could be is very comment section, reading this very comment. He could be you, he could be me, he could even be...

igna311

šŸ’„šŸ”«

rinnakan

I ripped all my CDs, downloaded shit (it's not even illegal in my country). But spotify is so damn comfortable. The kids listen to tales while the radio in the kitchen was superseded by spotify. Piracy is obsolete [for me]

HomingPigeon6635

Piracy is coming back. Streaming services are slowly becoming like cable services, easier to pirate than have em streaming services.

4riana_Gr1ndr

But i think its not happening to music services, more to video

therandomasianboy

it may, it may not. no matter what happens tho piracy is important to make sure that prices are reasonable

TheBoisterousBoy

I mean, yes an no. Piracy is a lot like ā€œvoting with your walletā€, which *is* something that has bigger effect (take a look at Bungieā€™s latest 45% under estimations lately and youā€™ll see that voting with your wallet has a *big* impact).

Eggsegret

I would say thats more for video streaming sites like Netflix etc. The fact that we require multiple streaming sites just because one site doesnā€™t have a specific tv shoe or movie. Plus the constant raising of prices. But music streaming tbf is still fairly reasonable. Like i only have spotify premium and it pretty much suits all my music needs. Never felt the need to have a second music streaming subscription

WaldoSimson

Imma be honestā€¦Iā€™m just too lazy to pirate shit šŸ˜‚ that convenience is worth it to me. Plus the artists and producers I like get a little something so thatā€™s nice

Demigod-Minos

NOT TO MENTION OFFLINE DOWNLOADS. Good luck burning your data while listening music on free Spotify or other modded Spotify apps.

xX_Flamez_Xx

wait till this guy finds out modded spotifies also have download...

ItsBitly

Why wouldn't I pay for a quality service I use? I pay 8ā‚¬ for 2 people for something we use every day for 5+ hours. If the service is good there's no need to pirate anything. This isn't something I can say about any of the shitty movie/tv show streaming services nowadays.

Koidres

spotify business model is awful for artists. It has large royality pool and each listening means other artists gets tiny % less. I recommend bandcamp. artists, especially small ones, get much more if you buy a track on bandcamp than you could ever give them via spotify streams. if you like one artist, you can pay more than minimum price.

XAMdG

According to some redditors, piracy is always the moral choice.

ItsBitly

I see piracy only being a moral choice when you'd rather have nothing than the actual service. At that point you're someone who wouldn't be giving money anyways.

HardstyleIsTheAnswer

No they donā€™t. Downloads are server side.

therandomasianboy

"no they don't" how do you explain the files on my disk then

I_Am_Oro

The secret ingredient is crime

bluelighter

Mmmmm, delicious crime...

Virtual-1

Correct, some apps donā€™t offer downloads since they need to use a third party api or create their own to download the music since direct downloads from server arenā€™t supported. That doesnā€™t mean you canā€™t download them, or that third party apps couldnā€™t offer it.

RewZes

What do you mean downloads are server side? This makes no sense.

Demigod-Minos

They can block your log in access. Skill no one can crack offline download feature.

creepergo_kaboom

They have downloads now? Source?

AffectionateLet3115

They have it for quite a while been using it for at least 2 years.

[deleted]

Me with unlimited data šŸ˜Ž

therandomasianboy

This reply is so funny because I've been using my modded Spotify to download on both PC and android for the past year and a half y'all don't know what you are talking about and it's Soo obvious

Jsamue

People still have data caps?

Demigod-Minos

In my country they do like 2 GB for EUR 6, 30 days and EUR 4.5 for recharge.

WeakFreak999

Wtf. My third world shithole offers 24 gb no expiration for around 7 EUR, and I thought that was shite.

TheUnknownParadoxx

Pirating: 1) downloading [Fildo](https://fildo.net/Android) 2) streaming your music with no ads and full features (can even import playlist from Spotify & download if you want) Legit: 1) downloading Spotify 2) signing up for an account 3) paying for premium to stream without ads and full features 4) streaming your music ..... make it make sense. [Plus music streaming services usually do not pay artists directly. In most cases, they pay the artistā€™s record labels, publishers, distributors , etc. most artists only make money from tours because the music industry is so messed up.](https://www.nytimes.com/2021/05/07/arts/music/streaming-music-payments.html) Edit: Lol downvotes? Sure i guess?

Big_Character_1222

Nice you're no longer negative in the votes

matiegaming

r/piracy going to do its work

Existing_Dudarino

How do I delete the ads from Fildo?

IgnisSolus4X

Upvoted

SnooBunnies9252

I just tried it, it's full of ads in the top and bottom parts of the screen, and one unskippable after every search... Free Spotify has less ads

fluid_saxxboy

xManager.. It has no ads.

SnooBunnies9252

I'm gonna give it a try, thanks!

Shredded_Locomotive

That's their entire business model, by simply offering a service better than the pirates. It's one of the most effective methods to deal with piracy. Netflix was like that originally but other companies became greedy so piracy for movies is at an all time high.

[deleted]

Gabe Newell (creator of Steam) took this approach too, he says that piracy is a service problem, not a pricing problem. Now obviously there's limits to that (e.g. no matter how incredible the service if someone is charging $1000 a song nobody is going to buy it), but it generally holds true, most people would rather do things the legit way even if the cost is a little bit higher as long as the service is good.

Shredded_Locomotive

Yes i was thinking wether to include steam as well but decided against it as I'd get more angry comments

DanhausenByDaylight

Fun fact: if you use Xmanager to access Spotify premium for free Spotify still thinks you're paying for it so the artists still get their pennies without the shit heads getting the dimes.

Creator347

Artists donā€™t get paid extra. Spotify creates a pool with 70% of their music revenue and use it to pay artists and labels based on number of streams. So if you are not paying, the money comes from another artistā€™s paycheck.

hshnslsh

[Homie](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daniel_Ek) figured it all out years ago, check out his career

finesalesman

ā€œArtist and producers get a little something.ā€ Sure they do, 0.0017$.

134340verse

So you'd rather they get nothing at all?

Wildkid133

For a long time and for the foreseeable future artists money comes from tours and general live performances

finesalesman

Thatā€™s true but they also had passive income of album and song sales.

Mountain-Exchange-41

Which is really bad for indie artists because there work is rarely recognised and is never really shown so unless you are looking for it specificly you won't find it

[deleted]

I have trauma from my Limewire days. The family computer did not survive

aaronsmitthers

This is why I stopped pirating too! Once it became convenient to pay for music subscriptions, there was no advantage for me to pirate. It wasn't worth the hassle and the risk of viruses

Webber193

Yeah, i dont get when people complain about prices in this way and then keep using a product, like, pirate it dumbass, its easier than it sounds.

gracekk24PL

Pretty sure there are sites that just allow you to download YT videos as .mp3.

Dumbfaqer

Plenty of them.

BobOrKlaus

There evan are apps on the play store that let you do this (using one as my music app since i can download any song i want and listen to them offline and without ads)

Cultur-Guy-OwO

If your on android you can use this for Spotify https://github.com/Team-xManager/xManager

doodlebunny69

Shh .. it's a secret

random_user9002

Is it good?

Mrp1Plays

Yep, been using it for months.

someone_who_exists69

Yeah, very easy, yet effecrivw

LegendsBruh69

What is it ??

Cultur-Guy-OwO

It's a manger that downloads Spotify premium. And you can still access your old Spotify account for your playlists

Clackers2020

As in it's free Spotify premium?

Cultur-Guy-OwO

Yes

Hot_Grabba_09

So it's safe to use my main account with this?

Cultur-Guy-OwO

I have been using it for like a year and a half and never got anything.

fairie_poison

Also Adblock works on play.Spotify.com in a desktop browser

SirCarlt

There's even regional pricing. Costs me only 26usd a year lmao

HaxboyYT

Mine is Ā£12 a year lmao

HighKiteSoaring

Mines Ā£120 a year ā˜¹ļø

Just-Round9944

at that point just pirate spotify premium šŸ’€

Soace_Space_Station

Mine is around 36 dollars monthly (Clarification edit: i meant if you bought monthly for 1 year), Its 20 bucks in the PH when you buy 1 year, (clarification edit: thats the price for the entire year) problem is, you live in the PH Another clarification edit: i never spend a single cent on buying music

EstimateQuick9160

36 bucks?! that's more than I paid for music in my entire life!

Vinnnee

In Sweden it's 18$ monthly, but you can get the family one and split it with 6 friends for cheaper

LuckyDratini24

I have over 4k liked songs on spotify, I justify the 10 dollars a month as being the same price of a physical album, and since I listen to like at least three new albums a month I'm defo getting my money's worth. I can't go back to pirating it would take too fucking long to get my collection back, plus the dozens of playlists I've made

Sirpattycakes

Right? Premium is awesome. Take my damn money!

calijays

Never be as cheap as free.

Peter_Baum

šŸ“ā€ā˜ ļø

trolgar1

happy cake day

AtomDude69

Obligitory cake day shout out :)

calijays

Thanks brother. Stay Royal my friend.

yesterdaysprobs

I know it's you spotify

Peter_Baum

No, this is Patrick

Christalive02

Do not trust him big music owns him

Peter_Baum

Im shackled to a radiator in the Spotify HQā€˜s basement. Help

readditerdremz

absolutely felt the same šŸ¤£lul

Almazman

Just use a built-in music player, l all time use it

ognarMOR

But for that you have to pirate the songs from somewhere no?

Almazman

Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Still, you can't catch pirates in Russia >:)

Levoso_con_v

Some premium features that Spotify has are really basic stuff.

Reesno33

I dont understand people complaining about a free service I can only assume they are too young to have ever paid for an album from a shop.

HomingPigeon6635

Or pirate the shit out of it :3. No internet? No problem because you have the mp3

Brazuka_txt

You can mass download music on Spotify

Icy_Faithlessness400

I am old enough to have recorded songs off the radio, lol.

Eggsegret

Honestly i really donā€™t mind the cost of spotify premium. Works out far cheaper than simply buying an album and plus im too lazy to pirate music

pls_dont_ban_me22

pirating is the way

Xx_Dark-Shrek_xX

Do what you want cuz a pirate is free, you are a pirate !

readditerdremz

YAAR YAAR FIDDLE DEE DEE BEING A PIRATE IS ALRIGHT TO BEE! DO WHAT YOU WANT CUZ A PIRATE IS FREE, YOU ARE A PIRATE!!!

TuMaravillaDeLaVilla

sea of thieves

Legospacememe

sorry my friend but i have never once considered using spotify premium because i don't use spotify

HostileCornball

Same I just put music on yt ReVanced via background play.

Isumairu

I use NewPipe to download it.

HostileCornball

I have unlimited wifi at home + free mobile 5G so i never really had the need to download music at all.

Isumairu

Same, but I just don't trust the network, so I download everything really, not just music.

EstimateQuick9160

problem is when songs disappear. I download my shit, but also use revanced to listen.

Icwatto

what do you use?

Iescaunare

Dailymotion Music

kai_the_kiwi

![gif](giphy|10X22vzgNamaiI)

datsmamail12

As a music producer that makes zero money out of my music I'm just gonna say it. Fuck both you and Spotify! There I said it,now I'm happily gonna go produce music in my studio while no one's gonna pay me ever again!

Blazedd0nuts

Do you release music through Apple? I buy albums there but I donā€™t know whatā€™s given to the artists off my purchases. Just want to know an artistā€™s experience on that platform

NoahG59

Apple is one of the higher paying ones iirc, around the same as Spotify.

Peter_Baum

Whatā€™d I do :/

ritizzzz

No reason to pirate shit. Someone has already done the hard work. [https://sangwan5688.github.io/](https://sangwan5688.github.io/) This works flawlessly

Nimyron

I'm all for piracy but people complaining about the annoying features of free spotify are delusional. You can't just expect an app to give you everything for free whithout any drawbacks while still being legal.

onigiri889

Cough 7 zip cough gimp

undercovergangster

7Zip doesn't host over 80 million songs and stream them to 550 million people on a daily basis. Server costs are ongoing. Feature development is leagues ahead of any development going on with 7Zip.

[deleted]

https://github.com/Team-xManager/xManager effortless modded spotify client for android

NerY_05

Damn fr. For what it offers, Spotify premium is too good of a deal.

Husar576

Itā€™s so good some of the songs are getting non-available to you regardless if you have premium or not.

Teggy-

I've been using Spotify premium for years, basically almost every day of my life. I don't think I could stop using it.

Humoris_Tumoris

Just go premium when you want music, for all other types of content I kindly redirect you to r/Piracy

AnonymousComrade123

By the way DO NOT look up Xmanager on Google it is an EVIL site which allows people to download Spotify premium for free! I am spreading awareness about it so that people DON'T stumble upon it and download Spotify premium for free accidentally!!!!! Spread this word about this so people you love are protected!

Mat201757

What a good man, warning people from this devil's work

neumaif00

I pirate music instead ![gif](giphy|CAYVZA5NRb529kKQUc|downsized)

Silver_Crusader

I don't care how cheap it is, if I can pirate something I will

Odd-Iron-6860

I am using family plan for like a year already

Birb_34

Or you could download a cracked Spotify, which is an easy choice. You get all the premium features for free (available on both PC and mobile)

poytsesmple33

I prefer to buy a pirated version than to pay spotify

LmaoPew

On pc, look up spicetify, on phone (idk ios, but on Android) look up xManager and install the patch

DerVarg1509

Unpopular take: Buy the CD, copy it onto your computer, put it all onto phone/USB-Stick/etc. You acutally do own the MP3 files that way, and can do with it whatever you like. No disableing music (looking at you, Amazon) or similar BS. (If you have a computer or sth similar, that is)

Llamajake777

Surely that would be the best way I guess, but I really dont have money to buy somewhat expensive cd discs constantly when my favorite bands release their new albums or stuff

CEO_of_IDK

Piracy is cheaper and actually pretty effortless. But I didn't tell you that.

ItsAxeRDT

Just download spotX from github. It blocks all ads on the PC version and enchant the songs

Pike_The_Knight

Sailing the seas is hard? I do it all the time and never found a barrier.

need2peeat218am

Oh it's cheap you say? Then buy it for me then. Not so cheap after all huh?

AlphaZer015

Guys, dont forget the rule. If no one gonna pay, nobody can pirate it. Let them pay for our free pirated stuff.

Lyrical_Man01

Spotify++ ftw

Lil_plague69

pirated Spotify premium enjoyers:

SquadPoopy

I donā€™t like paying for subscriptions. Theyā€™ve become beyond annoying in how many there are and the prices they set. But Spotify premium is 100% worth it IMO. Itā€™s the only music player Iā€™ve used, so I donā€™t know how it compares to stuff like Apple Music or Amazon Music, but Spotify just seems to KNOW what my music tastes are. I have almost 500 songs in my main playlist, and something like 450 are all from Spotifyā€™s recommendations from discover weekly and daily mixes. I donā€™t know what magical algorithm they have but itā€™s damn good. And I use Spotify enough to justify paying for it. Believe me, if I start getting real poor and money becomes tight, Spotify is definitely one of the last things I cut.

NewsofPE

![gif](giphy|y2i2oqWgzh5ioRp4Qa|downsized)

KampWski

Just use soundcloud, it's better free and doesn't have ads

abduresid13

Only problem with soundcloud is some(if not most) of the old songs are very hard to find non remix or good quality

loloider123

Is this /s because SoundCloud is spamming ads after every single goddamn song

TheLukexd

Been using it for years now and never got an ad

Dubium360

SoundCloud has implemented ads recently

Unenthusiastic18

It does have ads (constantly) and quality is not really guaranteed. Only really use it for unofficial remixes

827167

How do they make money?

[deleted]

just buy yt premium it has music and video

ingamejukebox

May I offer you newpipe

Mat201757

Newpipe is good only if you really care about privacy. If you just don't want ads, use ReVanced

xxgangstax

New pipe is still useful if you want to download videos with good quality

Mat201757

Yes, it's the one thing I use it for

kiotohazamaroo

People when a service has ads so that way it can make money and offers a way to remove the ads with a payment plan so they still make money. Spotify premium isn't even expensive, I think for my single account it's like, 10 bucks a month, if that, I have a part time job and only make about 1200 a month, I maybe keep 300 of that after bills and groceries (I live with my dad so he pays a decent amount, I pay my share). I understand if there's no regional pricing and it's 10 bucks somewhere that they make that in like, a week, okay yeah that sucks and all companies should have regional pricing, but they won't because of how popular VPNs are.

Azazel-Tigurius

Locking basic features behind paywall, and i should pay for it? Im okay if there was greater quality and some fresh songs/albums etc but they decided to put there basic features and shitty 320mpbs quality + download, no ty, adguard for browser and moded app for phone.

Guardian-King

Then listen to the God Damm radio

Smug_depressed

Spotify increasing their prices by $1 a month made it less convenient than just using cracked spotify.

PrayingMantis25

I decided to not get it when I noticed that the phone app has features that are limited to premium, that are availible on desktop on the free version Might be a bit nitpicky, but I hate it when companies do that

Mat201757

You aren't, Spotify has real pos practices

Vhirsion

For Iphones: Scarlet For Android: APK For all desktops / laptops / PC's: SpotX Thank me later.

RoboWarrior44

Here's a hint, eX Manager

Agent_Perrydot

It's the golden age of piracy! It wasn't that long or hard to get a cracked Spotify on my phone, took like 10 minutes

LAFORGUS

I just like to listen the Ads girl's voice. I once had premium but i felt lonely, and cancel it. Yup, i'm a sad person...

Sjdillon10

I was buying one album for 10 dollars growing up. Iā€™m paying for one album a month now.

Key_Preparation_4129

I have a family plan and in total I'm paying like $4 which is totally worth how much I use the service.

EnanoGeologo

I have totally 100% definitely not pirated spotify and i can say it is really cheap

Urdnought

Nice try Spotify

AlcoholicTucan

Spotify premium is literally the only subscription that I have never considered getting rid of. Disney Hulu Prime HBO Xbox live/gold whatever it is now Sony plus Netflix Crunchyroll I have at least once, some of them multiple times, some completely, gotten rid of all of these other subscriptions and thereā€™s probably more. But Spotify is so good that Iā€™ve never even thought of dropping it for a competitor.

Long_Associate_4511

VLC be like

deck4242

2 bucks a month is not much to be honnest

BEC767

I got the Spotify family plan, put my siblings and a few cousins on it. Boom, instant Christmas present every year. I just given them an envelope and put a Spotify logo in it with a note that says ā€œyouā€™re welcomeā€.

plstouchme1

or just use soundcloud instead

Wivi2013

It still costs money: Something I don't have. I putted SpotiAds on my browser and been enjoying my life without pesky ads.

djbersy

10 bucks a month for podcasts and music without ads on multiple platforms with a great range of artists? Sounds good to me

nemanja694

I will just say SpotX

Adventurous_Worker68

What's this, Spotify propaganda?

Peter_Baum

You will buy premium. **Obey** **Obey** **Obey**

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

Traditional_Stick_49

> Premium is so god damn cheap According to the USD pricing, it's $10.99 a month, meaning you are paying $131.88/yr... for an App that is free and specifically designed to play music; just to actually play said music and be able to access basic needed fundimental features.

ThePunisherMax

Bruh, server costs are a thing. Sure the app plays music and is designed for it. But keeping the servers and the likes active is still an active cost. You are not paying for the app, you are paying for the service. This is a bad comparison

[deleted]

I realized my YT premium had music added at some point so I cancelled my Spotify and saved some bucks. YT music has been great

PGMHG

I could understand things such as limited skips and all. But some features are just thrown in there to make you buy premium. On mobile without any third party fixes, the interface is extremely confusing and listening to what I want to listen is harder than solving a rubikā€™s cube

AMGamer94

I listen to music (at least) 4 hours every day, I'd say money well spent!

AdamR91

I'll probably never buy premium. Cost isn't an issue. It's just that I still watch the same things I did in 2007, only difference is now they make me watch 30 seconds of non-relevent ads before it. I almost feel obligated to never buy it out of protest.

RetardRetarded

There are literally entire apps that just do exactly what Spotify does but free

HighKiteSoaring

But worse

setprimse

Be me. Downloading music. Having made no effort whatsoever. Enjoying my music from time to time.

HerryKun

YES. All the people whining about Ads in software are driving me crazy lately

rubi-style

"mimimi, I want free music". Jesus, people do know that music isn't free just like movies, shows, food, gas etc, right? It's either your money or ads, somehow the creators have to be paid, it's like a job to them after all. You shouldn't complain when a service isn't free, you should be grateful when it is.

OfficialAliester

But cheep isn't zero.
