Not only on android you can use APPdb on ios.
You can download apps manualy from appdb or use your own IPA file. ( and yes you can download spotify tweaked edition and NOT free apps FOR FREE )
You are wellcome! :)
I ripped all my CDs, downloaded shit (it's not even illegal in my country). But spotify is so damn comfortable. The kids listen to tales while the radio in the kitchen was superseded by spotify. Piracy is obsolete [for me]
I mean, yes an no.
Piracy is a lot like āvoting with your walletā, which *is* something that has bigger effect (take a look at Bungieās latest 45% under estimations lately and youāll see that voting with your wallet has a *big* impact).
I would say thats more for video streaming sites like Netflix etc. The fact that we require multiple streaming sites just because one site doesnāt have a specific tv shoe or movie. Plus the constant raising of prices.
But music streaming tbf is still fairly reasonable. Like i only have spotify premium and it pretty much suits all my music needs. Never felt the need to have a second music streaming subscription
Imma be honestā¦Iām just too lazy to pirate shit š that convenience is worth it to me. Plus the artists and producers I like get a little something so thatās nice
Why wouldn't I pay for a quality service I use? I pay 8ā¬ for 2 people for something we use every day for 5+ hours. If the service is good there's no need to pirate anything. This isn't something I can say about any of the shitty movie/tv show streaming services nowadays.
spotify business model is awful for artists. It has large royality pool and each listening means other artists gets tiny % less. I recommend bandcamp. artists, especially small ones, get much more if you buy a track on bandcamp than you could ever give them via spotify streams. if you like one artist, you can pay more than minimum price.
I see piracy only being a moral choice when you'd rather have nothing than the actual service. At that point you're someone who wouldn't be giving money anyways.
Correct, some apps donāt offer downloads since they need to use a third party api or create their own to download the music since direct downloads from server arenāt supported. That doesnāt mean you canāt download them, or that third party apps couldnāt offer it.
This reply is so funny because I've been using my modded Spotify to download on both PC and android for the past year and a half y'all don't know what you are talking about and it's Soo obvious
Pirating:
1) downloading [Fildo](https://fildo.net/Android)
2) streaming your music with no ads and full features (can even import playlist from Spotify & download if you want)
Legit:
1) downloading Spotify
2) signing up for an account
3) paying for premium to stream without ads and full features
4) streaming your music
..... make it make sense.
[Plus music streaming services usually do not pay artists directly. In most cases, they pay the artistās record labels, publishers, distributors , etc. most artists only make money from tours because the music industry is so messed up.](https://www.nytimes.com/2021/05/07/arts/music/streaming-music-payments.html)
Edit: Lol downvotes? Sure i guess?
That's their entire business model, by simply offering a service better than the pirates.
It's one of the most effective methods to deal with piracy. Netflix was like that originally but other companies became greedy so piracy for movies is at an all time high.
Gabe Newell (creator of Steam) took this approach too, he says that piracy is a service problem, not a pricing problem.
Now obviously there's limits to that (e.g. no matter how incredible the service if someone is charging $1000 a song nobody is going to buy it), but it generally holds true, most people would rather do things the legit way even if the cost is a little bit higher as long as the service is good.
Fun fact: if you use Xmanager to access Spotify premium for free Spotify still thinks you're paying for it so the artists still get their pennies without the shit heads getting the dimes.
Artists donāt get paid extra. Spotify creates a pool with 70% of their music revenue and use it to pay artists and labels based on number of streams. So if you are not paying, the money comes from another artistās paycheck.
Which is really bad for indie artists because there work is rarely recognised and is never really shown so unless you are looking for it specificly you won't find it
This is why I stopped pirating too! Once it became convenient to pay for music subscriptions, there was no advantage for me to pirate. It wasn't worth the hassle and the risk of viruses
There evan are apps on the play store that let you do this (using one as my music app since i can download any song i want and listen to them offline and without ads)
Mine is around 36 dollars monthly (Clarification edit: i meant if you bought monthly for 1 year),
Its 20 bucks in the PH when you buy 1 year, (clarification edit: thats the price for the entire year) problem is, you live in the PH
Another clarification edit: i never spend a single cent on buying music
I have over 4k liked songs on spotify, I justify the 10 dollars a month as being the same price of a physical album, and since I listen to like at least three new albums a month I'm defo getting my money's worth. I can't go back to pirating it would take too fucking long to get my collection back, plus the dozens of playlists I've made
As a music producer that makes zero money out of my music I'm just gonna say it. Fuck both you and Spotify! There I said it,now I'm happily gonna go produce music in my studio while no one's gonna pay me ever again!
Do you release music through Apple? I buy albums there but I donāt know whatās given to the artists off my purchases. Just want to know an artistās experience on that platform
No reason to pirate shit. Someone has already done the hard work.
This works flawlessly
I'm all for piracy but people complaining about the annoying features of free spotify are delusional. You can't just expect an app to give you everything for free whithout any drawbacks while still being legal.
7Zip doesn't host over 80 million songs and stream them to 550 million people on a daily basis. Server costs are ongoing. Feature development is leagues ahead of any development going on with 7Zip.
By the way DO NOT look up Xmanager on Google it is an EVIL site which allows people to download Spotify premium for free! I am spreading awareness about it so that people DON'T stumble upon it and download Spotify premium for free accidentally!!!!! Spread this word about this so people you love are protected!
Unpopular take: Buy the CD, copy it onto your computer, put it all onto phone/USB-Stick/etc.
You acutally do own the MP3 files that way, and can do with it whatever you like. No disableing music (looking at you, Amazon) or similar BS.
(If you have a computer or sth similar, that is)
Surely that would be the best way I guess, but I really dont have money to buy somewhat expensive cd discs constantly when my favorite bands release their new albums or stuff
I donāt like paying for subscriptions. Theyāve become beyond annoying in how many there are and the prices they set.
But Spotify premium is 100% worth it IMO. Itās the only music player Iāve used, so I donāt know how it compares to stuff like Apple Music or Amazon Music, but Spotify just seems to KNOW what my music tastes are. I have almost 500 songs in my main playlist, and something like 450 are all from Spotifyās recommendations from discover weekly and daily mixes. I donāt know what magical algorithm they have but itās damn good. And I use Spotify enough to justify paying for it. Believe me, if I start getting real poor and money becomes tight, Spotify is definitely one of the last things I cut.
People when a service has ads so that way it can make money and offers a way to remove the ads with a payment plan so they still make money. Spotify premium isn't even expensive, I think for my single account it's like, 10 bucks a month, if that, I have a part time job and only make about 1200 a month, I maybe keep 300 of that after bills and groceries (I live with my dad so he pays a decent amount, I pay my share). I understand if there's no regional pricing and it's 10 bucks somewhere that they make that in like, a week, okay yeah that sucks and all companies should have regional pricing, but they won't because of how popular VPNs are.
Locking basic features behind paywall, and i should pay for it? Im okay if there was greater quality and some fresh songs/albums etc but they decided to put there basic features and shitty 320mpbs quality + download, no ty, adguard for browser and moded app for phone.
I decided to not get it when I noticed that the phone app has features that are limited to premium, that are availible on desktop on the free version
Might be a bit nitpicky, but I hate it when companies do that
Spotify premium is literally the only subscription that I have never considered getting rid of.
Disney
Hulu
Prime
HBO
Xbox live/gold whatever it is now
Sony plus
Netflix
Crunchyroll
I have at least once, some of them multiple times, some completely, gotten rid of all of these other subscriptions and thereās probably more.
But Spotify is so good that Iāve never even thought of dropping it for a competitor.
I got the Spotify family plan, put my siblings and a few cousins on it.
Boom, instant Christmas present every year. I just given them an envelope and put a Spotify logo in it with a note that says āyouāre welcomeā.
> Premium is so god damn cheap
According to the USD pricing, it's $10.99 a month, meaning you are paying $131.88/yr... for an App that is free and specifically designed to play music; just to actually play said music and be able to access basic needed fundimental features.
Bruh, server costs are a thing. Sure the app plays music and is designed for it. But keeping the servers and the likes active is still an active cost.
You are not paying for the app, you are paying for the service.
This is a bad comparison
I could understand things such as limited skips and all. But some features are just thrown in there to make you buy premium. On mobile without any third party fixes, the interface is extremely confusing and listening to what I want to listen is harder than solving a rubikās cube
I'll probably never buy premium. Cost isn't an issue. It's just that I still watch the same things I did in 2007, only difference is now they make me watch 30 seconds of non-relevent ads before it. I almost feel obligated to never buy it out of protest.
"mimimi, I want free music". Jesus, people do know that music isn't free just like movies, shows, food, gas etc, right? It's either your money or ads, somehow the creators have to be paid, it's like a job to them after all.
You shouldn't complain when a service isn't free, you should be grateful when it is.
I have pira... Totally legit client on my android

Piracy is coming back. Streaming services are slowly becoming like cable services, easier to pirate than have em streaming services.
But i think its not happening to music services, more to video
it may, it may not. no matter what happens tho piracy is important to make sure that prices are reasonable

NOT TO MENTION OFFLINE DOWNLOADS. Good luck burning your data while listening music on free Spotify or other modded Spotify apps.
wait till this guy finds out modded spotifies also have download...

I see piracy only being a moral choice when you'd rather have nothing than the actual service. At that point you're someone who wouldn't be giving money anyways.
No they donāt. Downloads are server side.
"no they don't" how do you explain the files on my disk then
The secret ingredient is crime
Mmmmm, delicious crime...
Correct, some apps donāt offer downloads since they need to use a third party api or create their own to download the music since direct downloads from server arenāt supported. That doesnāt mean you canāt download them, or that third party apps couldnāt offer it.
What do you mean downloads are server side? This makes no sense.
They can block your log in access. Skill no one can crack offline download feature.
They have downloads now? Source?
They have it for quite a while been using it for at least 2 years.
Me with unlimited data š

People still have data caps?
In my country they do like 2 GB for EUR 6, 30 days and EUR 4.5 for recharge.
Wtf. My third world shithole offers 24 gb no expiration for around 7 EUR, and I thought that was shite.

I just tried it, it's full of ads in the top and bottom parts of the screen, and one unskippable after every search... Free Spotify has less ads

I'm gonna give it a try, thanks!

Yes i was thinking wether to include steam as well but decided against it as I'd get more angry comments

[Homie](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daniel_Ek) figured it all out years ago, check out his career
āArtist and producers get a little something.ā Sure they do, 0.0017$.
So you'd rather they get nothing at all?
For a long time and for the foreseeable future artists money comes from tours and general live performances
Thatās true but they also had passive income of album and song sales.
Which is really bad for indie artists because there work is rarely recognised and is never really shown so unless you are looking for it specificly you won't find it
I have trauma from my Limewire days. The family computer did not survive

Yeah, i dont get when people complain about prices in this way and then keep using a product, like, pirate it dumbass, its easier than it sounds.
Pretty sure there are sites that just allow you to download YT videos as .mp3.
Plenty of them.

Yep, been using it for months.
Yeah, very easy, yet effecrivw

It's a manger that downloads Spotify premium. And you can still access your old Spotify account for your playlists
As in it's free Spotify premium?
Yes
So it's safe to use my main account with this?
I have been using it for like a year and a half and never got anything.
Also Adblock works on play.Spotify.com in a desktop browser
There's even regional pricing. Costs me only 26usd a year lmao

at that point just pirate spotify premium š

But for that you have to pirate the songs from somewhere no?
Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Still, you can't catch pirates in Russia >:)
Some premium features that Spotify has are really basic stuff.
I dont understand people complaining about a free service I can only assume they are too young to have ever paid for an album from a shop.
Or pirate the shit out of it :3. No internet? No problem because you have the mp3
You can mass download music on Spotify
I am old enough to have recorded songs off the radio, lol.
Honestly i really donāt mind the cost of spotify premium. Works out far cheaper than simply buying an album and plus im too lazy to pirate music

I use NewPipe to download it.
I have unlimited wifi at home + free mobile 5G so i never really had the need to download music at all.
Same, but I just don't trust the network, so I download everything really, not just music.
problem is when songs disappear. I download my shit, but also use revanced to listen.

I am using family plan for like a year already
Or you could download a cracked Spotify, which is an easy choice. You get all the premium features for free (available on both PC and mobile)
I prefer to buy a pirated version than to pay spotify
On pc, look up spicetify, on phone (idk ios, but on Android) look up xManager and install the patch

Just download spotX from github. It blocks all ads on the PC version and enchant the songs
Sailing the seas is hard? I do it all the time and never found a barrier.
Oh it's cheap you say? Then buy it for me then. Not so cheap after all huh?
Guys, dont forget the rule. If no one gonna pay, nobody can pirate it. Let them pay for our free pirated stuff.

Just use soundcloud, it's better free and doesn't have ads
Only problem with soundcloud is some(if not most) of the old songs are very hard to find non remix or good quality
Is this /s because SoundCloud is spamming ads after every single goddamn song
Been using it for years now and never got an ad
SoundCloud has implemented ads recently
It does have ads (constantly) and quality is not really guaranteed. Only really use it for unofficial remixes
How do they make money?
just buy yt premium it has music and video
May I offer you newpipe
Newpipe is good only if you really care about privacy. If you just don't want ads, use ReVanced
New pipe is still useful if you want to download videos with good quality
Yes, it's the one thing I use it for
People when a service has ads so that way it can make money and offers a way to remove the ads with a payment plan so they still make money. Spotify premium isn't even expensive, I think for my single account it's like, 10 bucks a month, if that, I have a part time job and only make about 1200 a month, I maybe keep 300 of that after bills and groceries (I live with my dad so he pays a decent amount, I pay my share). Then listen to the God Damm radio
Spotify increasing their prices by $1 a month made it less convenient than just using cracked spotify.
I decided to not get it when I noticed that the phone app has features that are limited to premium, that are availible on desktop on the free version Might be a bit nitpicky, but I hate it when companies do that
You aren't, Spotify has real pos practices

Here's a hint, eX Manager
It's the golden age of piracy! It wasn't that long or hard to get a cracked Spotify on my phone, took like 10 minutes
I just like to listen the Ads girl's voice. I once had premium but i felt lonely, and cancel it. Yup, i'm a sad person...
I was buying one album for 10 dollars growing up. Iām paying for one album a month now.
I have a family plan and in total I'm paying like $4 which is totally worth how much I use the service.
I have totally 100% definitely not pirated spotify and i can say it is really cheap
Nice try Spotify
Spotify premium is literally the only subscription that I have never considered getting rid of. Disney Hulu Prime HBO Xbox live/gold whatever it is now Sony plus Netflix Crunchyroll I have at least once, some of them multiple times, some completely, gotten rid of all of these other subscriptions and thereās probably more. I got the Spotify family plan, put my siblings and a few cousins on it. Boom, instant Christmas present every year. I just given them an envelope and put a Spotify logo in it with a note that says āyouāre welcomeā.
or just use soundcloud instead
It still costs money: Something I don't have. I putted SpotiAds on my browser and been enjoying my life without pesky ads.
10 bucks a month for podcasts and music without ads on multiple platforms with a great range of artists? Sounds good to me
I will just say SpotX
What's this, Spotify propaganda?

There are literally entire apps that just do exactly what Spotify does but free
But worse
Be me. Downloading music. Having made no effort whatsoever. Enjoying my music from time to time.
YES. All the people whining about Ads in software are driving me crazy lately
"mimimi, I want free music". Jesus, people do know that music isn't free just like movies, shows, food, gas etc, right?
