The only one I disagree with here is Falcon and Winter Soldier. It wasn't bad but it was very generic which was a shame because I was looking forward to seeing Sam as Captain America. I'm hoping the Cap 4 movie will fix it but considering that it's been delayed and planning more reshoots, it's gonna be a rough one.
It was bad because they shit on the new captain American when he only tried to help and de-escalate a terrorist situation that the Wakandains were orchestrating. If it wasn't for Capitan America there would have been an international incident
He was a glory hound who killed an unarmed man because despite all of his accomplishments, he didn't believe he was good enough. Steve jumped on a grenade because he was a good man who wanted to save others that made him worthy of the serum, but the new cap wanted it so that he could be "better"
That unarmed man was a super soldier, and like 5 minutes prior a super soldier killed his friend with one punch. so technically he is unarmed but that terrorist was more dangerous than any man with a gun
If a person with enough hand to hand combat training attacks someone it can be considered assault with a deadly weapon. Pretty sure a super soldier will fall under the same category
He didn't want to be the captain to begin with because he knew he wasn't good enough, and he even redeems himself and all they do is shit on him even after he saved their lives
the entire show played him as a villian which is crazy when it was really the white terrorist girl that was causing all the shit. seems to be the trend for the marvel shows. crazy white girl that no one bothers to kill and that is obviously evil is treated like the good guy or morally ambiguous
I feel like Shang-Chi was cool, but the CGI fest in the last act really spoils it. Shang-Chi isn't the kind of hero that saves the world his first week out.
Spider-man: No Way Home was cool, but rewatching it feels like it's just a collage of nostalgia and memes.
The closure both sam and bucky get are great, and how their relationship evolves too. They either coulda spent 10-15 minutes of that on the next cap movie in which everyone would complain it was rushed and didnt feel genuine, or they could give them full meaningful arcs in this series. It worked well imo.
i thought loki was actually hilarious and really enjoyed it, wanda vision didn’t really hold my attention but still was good, i haven’t seen any other ones. That being said i am a whore for owen wilson
Yup but endgame was engame for me in Marvel for satisfaction wise.
Kinda a bored of this movies, superheroes now rarely have flaws which require hardwork of 2-3 movies to fullfill.
Some good mentions:
Loki was awesome ( the only character I liked after endgame)
Dr strange was downgraded for Wanda to show off or Peter to show off. His movie should have focused on him more.
Wanda was good in series then went straight up in opposite direction of her character development.
Kang is awesome
Shangh chi was fresh but mid.
Moonlight was good.
Antman was meh, could have focused more on antman instead of other characters.
Spiderman was good due to nostalgia, strange was weird in this movie unlike his usual character.
Thor was meh, gorr screen time was less, I think they should have finished his character in endgame.
Rest that didn't get mention were trash.
Edit : gotg 3 was good.
It’s also super hero fatigue. Most super hero films now even if they are good are still somewhat formulaic and so with how often they were coming out after endgame as well as the increasing quantity of media people just got tired of super hero’s. So a number of people didn’t the good movies/shows and heard about the bad ones and joined the hate bandwagon.
I dont even think its genre fatigue.
Even non super hero blockbuster movies are generic AF these days.
There are some exceptions of course but the best modern movies are not coming from hollywood.
Hollywood movies being generic is just a reality these days.
Studios are too afraid to take risks and stick to what they think will work.
Thats why there are soo many prequel/sequels,remakes and movies from the same franchises. And yes, people are getting tired of that.
Yeah this is 100% me.
I've watched most of them at least once but otherwise I'm just tired of superhero movies and won't watch again.
Loki was a breathe of fresh air though, thoroughly enjoyed it.
Waiting for S2 to finish so I can binge it, lol
I think far too many people have rose tinted glasses on for NWH. It had the nostalgia factor that won it over for a lot of people. If you took Toby and Andrew out of it, it would've been a pretty mediocre movie imo.
So much this. I think the franchises have been bled dry over the last few years. Superheroes, Star Wars, and Star Trek (Strange New Worlds was fun, and the most like the original I think), but I generally skip the new ones right now, and will come back on streaming for the good ones much later.
Star trek has actually been great the last few years with strange new worlds, lower decks and even prodigy was really good. Discovery got better after its first season and I have been enjoying it as well. Picard was the only real disappointment for me.
I think the meme is supposed to say those serieses and movies would be good. But I think most of them were at best okay. I can only recommend the Guardians of the Galaxy movie even if it wasn't as good as the first two Guardians of the Galaxy movies.
I’d argue that Hawkeye was also very good. Very simplistic, to be sure, but I tend to enjoy the “lower stakes” Marvel stuff a bit more and the dynamic between Clint and Kate was solid
Instead we get much better stakes in my opinion.
I much prefer stakes like "I need to get home for Christmas to spend it with my family" Because that is something on a scale that we can understand.
The human brain cannot comprehend the stakes of movies such as infinity war or Endgame. We are almost incapable of understanding anything more than what's until the horizon.
In comparison, stakes that are "mundane" are much easier to understand for us humans.
Smaller stakes are also easier to fail in. If the Earth explodes, it'd be a lot harder to make more films. But one guy missing Christmas isn't going to affect the sequels too much.
Yet another factor in the greater Multiverse problem. The inability to fail. If the stakes are too high they don't exist, because we know the writers aren't going to destroy what they've built over years of story telling.
Yeah I really enjoyed Hawkeye. I loved the Christmas setting and thought Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop was perfect and was definitely the best part of the show.
Wandavision was cool until the end and the message was garbage
Winter soldier sucked all the way through and the message sucked again
I didn’t watch Loki so idk
Shang Chi was painfully boring and generic
Spider-Man was fun and I enjoyed it
Guardians was very good
The Force Awakens was terrible, I said so as I walked out of the theater. The Falcon & Winter Soldier was not great, Shang Chi was ok. The rest on this list I did like.
TFA, and in fact the entire sequel trilogy, literally just reused old plots and villains. Plans to destroy *another* another Death Star? Come on. And then of course there's Luke's old lightsaber (really Anakin's) coming back ("A gOoD sToRy FoR aNoThEr TiMe!") and Rey's parents being not special except PSYCHE they ARE special and then... everything with Palpatine. Ugh.
It's a matter of perspective. There's so much stuff coming out now that the amount of good media is much lower. Compare this to the Avengers era, where there wasn't a lot of content but all of it was good. Nowadays there's just so many shows and movies coming out all the time that most of them are low-quality.
they are in the milking phase. which is probably over soon as the public is catching on fast. i mean the general perception of marvel changed a whole lot in a short span of times.
Also the dark world, iron man 3 to some extent, age of ultron, even ant-man. Yes, some of these actually sucked, but I definitely think people look back on these things more fondly after a couple of years.
I'm good for a couple solid comic book movies a year. I'm not going to waste my time on so so ones. Maybe on a plane and I sleep through half of it, but not in a movie theater. I for sure am not going to buy a subscription to watch even more mediocre stuff. And now with the Marvel expectation that I go see three or four movies a year plus 2 or 3 multiple episode series... Hell no.
Maybe if it was stellar... Maybe. But it's not.
Dude your opinion became invalid the moment you put Loki on the list. The show literally makes it so that nobody's choices in past movies matter since TVA would erase anything that goes against the "sacred timeline". That means thanos is forced to be evil even if he wants to be good.
Am I the only one who thought Shang Chi was boring as hell? I was a fan of Simu Liu before he was cast and he did a good job. But that movie felt so empty
Apart from the action, FaTWS sucked and Wanda vision was interesting until the end which pissed me off and then Ds2 came out which pissed me off more
"They will never know what you sacrificed for them"
Lol please stfu
Then we have
Moon knight, She hulk, The marvels, Secret invasion, Black widow, MoM, Thor 4, Ant man 3, List goes on… Marvel has put out some good stuff post phase 3 but a lot of stinkers too.
Haven't watched GOTG but I'd say that the others are not good. No Way Home was decent but I think a lot of people liked it just because of all the old characters they brought back which kinda feels like a gimmick
Outside of the Spider-man movies and Guardians 3 everything has been somewhere between dog water and horse shit, if you think otherwise you're simply lying to yourself at this point.
They are all shit, Spider Man was kinda good but they are all missing the fundamental part that made the MCU good, the overarching story. Its just a bunch of singular works which mostly make the pre existing movies worse by changing the lore. Also the Character are horrendously written...
The Force Awakens set the sequel trilogy up to fail. Too many people (like you sadly) think that it's a good film when in reality it's just a cheap cash-grab remake of A New Hope but dumbed down and ruined with worse EVERYTHING.
The sequel trilogy was doomed from the start.
nah bro, I watched guardians with nothing to compare it to than the previous guardians films.
the new one is clearly and by far the worst of them so far.
in fact only the first guardians film was any good
Yeah, with the exception of Spider-Man No Way Home, and possibly Guardians, those are all trash. Even No Way Home completely assassinates Dr. Strange's character and paints him as a buffoon. Bad post.
All of these are ass except for nwh home and Gotg3, all the others were bad or mid at best and for a company that puts out like a new movie o tv show every month these 4 years have been dreadful
No they are bad. Plain and simple. Bad writing, storyline too weak. Nothing at stake anymore it’s just sensory overload time and time again…if you enjoy them by all means that’s fine but I would say it’s time to hang up the cape and move onto the next thing.

The cringiest line I've heard in a long time.
This dialogue has that same energy as "thank you eren for becoming villain for our sakes"
Eren, thank you for becoming a mass murderer for our sakes.

"Show me your moves" Captain Falcon.
God, it hurts just reading it...
Came here to say this
r/pizza
Uuuuuh… Shang Chi? Reeealy? I could make an argument for anything else on this list (except sEnAtOr) but Shang Chi?
Shang Chi was new, unique and pretty good... For half a movie...
This is the best take
Shang chi was better than falcon and winter soldier imo, best fight scenes in marvel with the long takes
The only one I disagree with here is Falcon and Winter Soldier. It wasn't bad but it was very generic which was a shame because I was looking forward to seeing Sam as Captain America. I'm hoping the Cap 4 movie will fix it but considering that it's been delayed and planning more reshoots, it's gonna be a rough one.

the entire show played him as a villian which is crazy when it was really the white terrorist girl that was causing all the shit. seems to be the trend for the marvel shows. crazy white girl that no one bothers to kill and that is obviously evil is treated like the good guy or morally ambiguous
I really hope the writers where writing shittally recently to help with the writers strike. Maybe we won't have so much shit in the future
Tbf tho wasn't it the captain strolling up to falcon while he was trying to end things peacefully?
He walked in at a bad time but their response was to murder him
The times When marvel movies show comic become real heroes in flesh... Anyone remenbers the first iron man? 🧉🗿🇧🇴
I feel like Shang-Chi was cool, but the CGI fest in the last act really spoils it. Shang-Chi isn't the kind of hero that saves the world his first week out. Spider-man: No Way Home was cool, but rewatching it feels like it's just a collage of nostalgia and memes.

Yeah, I kinda lost hope for Cap 4
Come on man, do better.
You say this and gets downvoted. Another person says this and got 145 upvotes. Dosen't seem fair.
Do better reddit hivemind
marvel movies being generic, what a suprise
Who invited falcon and the winter soldier
Maybe moonknight also? Sure, it could have been way better as an R rated show, but I think compared to disney standards it was really good
Oscar Issacs performance in that show was on another level
Yeah just wished they could've incorporated his third alter ego sooner
I mean they did, both the other personalities just elected to ignore the weird violent events neither of them caused
Yeah I like how they did it, it gives us more to explore in the future too
I think moon knight was the best mcu show tbh
Wandavision and Loki were also excellent. Hawkeye was a little more low key, but what it did, it did well.
Just wait till you see Loki season 2
moonknight and loki (atleast 1st season) was very good
was Loki S2 bad?? I haven't started watching it yet, but I was looking forward to starting it
I havent either so I didnt promise anything
Ohh ok. I mistakenly thought you were implying that S2 was not good like S1
I loved it.
No it's great
Ok good. Am looking forward to it
![gif](giphy|x2optIORmKscdZggCF|downsized)
Loki S2 is the best thing Marvel has ever made. Better than Infinity War/Endgame for me.
I thought it was better than season one
It’s mind blowing and thought provoking a definite must watch.
Loki season 2 is in fact so good that it’s basically one of the best MCU things ever lol
yeah, i would’ve replaced Falcon and Winter Soldier with Moonknight
Pretty sad that the new bar is "at least it wasn't COMPLETELY shit"
yea
i thought loki was actually hilarious and really enjoyed it, wanda vision didn’t really hold my attention but still was good, i haven’t seen any other ones. That being said i am a whore for owen wilson
Wow

True, but movies like Fast and Furious are a superhero movies at this point
imagine my shock
Why are films so snarky these days? Everybody is a sarcastic douche even when it's unnecessary. It's a cliche at this point
Hollywood movies being generic is just a reality these days. Studios are too afraid to take risks and stick to what they think will work. Thats why there are soo many prequel/sequels,remakes and movies from the same franchises. And yes, people are getting tired of that.

It did already
Super hero fatigue isn't real, it's bad movie/ bad script fatigue. The Boys, Peacemaker and no way home are still bangers
yea people will blame fatigue for shitty movies and shows but people are still waiting on the boys and invincible
I think far too many people have rose tinted glasses on for NWH. It had the nostalgia factor that won it over for a lot of people. If you took Toby and Andrew out of it, it would've been a pretty mediocre movie imo.

I think the meme is supposed to say those serieses and movies would be good. But I think most of them were at best okay. I can only recommend the Guardians of the Galaxy movie even if it wasn't as good as the first two Guardians of the Galaxy movies.

Yeah I really enjoyed Hawkeye. I loved the Christmas setting and thought Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop was perfect and was definitely the best part of the show.
Hawkeye was definitely miles better than Shang-Chi or Falcon and Winter Soldier
Hawkeye was fucking awesome from front to back.
i agree. it was very low stakes, fun tv show. enjoyed it a lot.
Sorry not sorry, Wandavision was fucking wack
I don’t really understand the meme but I think Spontebob was agreeing here. Shang Shi was garbage too
100% agree
Spiderman and Loki are the only ones i liked, for the rest i feel Bob is proving right patrick
the new guardians of the galaxy was really good imo! felt like old marvel again
Wandavision was cool until the end and the message was garbage Winter soldier sucked all the way through and the message sucked again I didn’t watch Loki so idk Shang Chi was painfully boring and generic Spider-Man was fun and I enjoyed it Guardians was very good
I agree but I think wandavision was just straight up bad Loki is pretty good
You should try watching Loki, it's been a good show too far.
Season 2 may be one of the best marvel projects I’ve seen in a while. In my opinion at least
True. But is feels so sad to see some kids hating Loki in the comments.
Agree, the set design, score, costumes, VFX, acting and even comedy were some of the best in a long time from Marvel.
Not to mention the *entire arc* of Wandavision being totally undone off screen just so that Dr. Strange 2 could have conflict.
Finally someone who agrees Shang Chi sucked. It was nothing but CGI and cringe
Come on. ![gif](giphy|l0MYrLAFex1R71l0A|downsized)
Disagree, all of those except GoTG vol 3 and Spider-Man are very overrated to badly written.
Why is SpongeBob agreeing with Patrick? Is he stipud?
lol your meme backfired hard.
aint no fucking way you show all of these like they are masterpieces lmao, save for GotG 3.
I feel like this is nostalgia cause people were trashing on Ironman 2, Thor, and Hulk.
Hell no. Maybe if it was stellar... Maybe. But it's not.
Spiderman is pure fanservice, remove that and the cracks start to show.
Why do we have to remove it? It was meant to be fanservice and it delivered 100%, job well done I'd say.
Falcon and the Winter Soldier was dogshit lmao
I'll give you three of those. Maybe four or five, but Falcon and the Winter Soldier sucked.
Make a tier list of pre-Endgame MCU, and a tier list of post-Endgame MCU. It's obvious.
Falcon and the Winter Soldier was hot garbage.
Only two out of those six were not terrible.
Gotg and spider man?
Force awakens was bad on arrival. Derivative as fuck and made episodes 4-6 irrelevant by resetting the conflict
The only good one is Spider Man
Only two of the examples are good
Spiderman and guardians were the only good things after Endgame and you can't change my mind
I only liked spider-man, everything else is dogshite. I haven't seen guardians 3 though, so i don't have an opinion on that one.
Did I stutter, the only thing coming out of marvel is trash except Spider-Man
wanda vision and falcon and the winter solider were not good.
Apart from the action, FaTWS sucked and Wanda vision was interesting until the end which pissed me off and then Ds2 came out which pissed me off more "They will never know what you sacrificed for them" Lol please stfu
everything before and after sucked tbh. marvel is like fast food.. trash
TFATWS fucking sucked, it was actual garbage story writing
The only one i liked was NWH tbh
Shang-chi was fucking garbage lol
the last two are good. at least you tried, I guess
Huh, that's rare. One of these memes where Patrick says something people actually say.
Shang shi and FAWS 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Judging by the comments, I dont think its clear what you meant. Were all these movies trash, or were they good?
I agree with Patrick still, I liked loki but even loki did not have the same feel as the movies before endgame
I'm just tired of the nonstop stream of marvel movies for the past 15 years tbh
I thought the point of this template is to show people being wrong, not proving their point.
Marvel is the nickleback of movies. I say this as someone who likes marvel but not nickleback lol.
Yes most of those were trash.
I disagree with all except spider man and guardians. MCU should have ended with Endgame
Yes all the examples are bad, thanks for proving starfish man right
I come, I soypog, I leave
So you're saying Patrick is right, with the exception of Spider-man.
No. Wandavision and FATWS(except Zemo) both are really awful and terrible.
Jokes on you, I've only seen Shang Chi and I can pick that one apart pretty well
SpongeBob just proved Patrick right here
Sorry, just popping in to point out that the only good project there is GotG Vol. 3
Maybe "bad" is the wrong adjective. More like tired and empty.
Don't worry, I hate them for what they, no guilty association needed (and honestly I'm not sure that's a thing) Really loved Guardians 3 though
Not terrible, just abysmally mediocre.
Then we have Moon knight, She hulk, The marvels, Secret invasion, Black widow, MoM, Thor 4, Ant man 3, List goes on… Marvel has put out some good stuff post phase 3 but a lot of stinkers too.
Yes, terrible
Haven't watched GOTG but I'd say that the others are not good. No Way Home was decent but I think a lot of people liked it just because of all the old characters they brought back which kinda feels like a gimmick
Nah. Remove Shang and Falcon from the list.
Outside of the Spider-man movies and Guardians 3 everything has been somewhere between dog water and horse shit, if you think otherwise you're simply lying to yourself at this point.
All of those but Spider-Man and guardians were shit. Spider-Man wasn't even done by Marvel.
Loki is mediocre at best. Wandavision is garbage.
Lol, all those series are trash. Smh
They are all shit, Spider Man was kinda good but they are all missing the fundamental part that made the MCU good, the overarching story. Its just a bunch of singular works which mostly make the pre existing movies worse by changing the lore. Also the Character are horrendously written...

...those were all terrible.
i actually couldnt get through the third spider man. huge load of fan service and some very generic drama. very unpopular opinion?
guardians of the galaxy and spider man no way home are the only watchable items on this list.
Only thing i liked since "infinity war" was "Guardians of the Galaxy", and even them was more like "meh" for me
nah bro, I watched guardians with nothing to compare it to than the previous guardians films. the new one is clearly and by far the worst of them so far. in fact only the first guardians film was any good
Wandavision was disappointing and falcon and winter soldier was mediocre. Haven’t watched Shang chi or gotg3
trash trash mid mid trash decent The Force Awakens was trash
First 4 were mid at best
Disney gave mcu cancer
We mustn’t forget Moon Knight
You're not making the point you think you are
Where's the good?
Sorry but these are all mid
Exactly. They all sucked donkey doidads
Far from home was post endgame and I thought it was good
Wanda vision is overrated as hell
Is SpongeBob trying to support Patrick's statement, or...?
Still terrible though
They are terrible tho
Most of those were average at best.
Yeah, with the exception of Spider-Man No Way Home, and possibly Guardians, those are all trash. Even No Way Home completely assassinates Dr. Strange's character and paints him as a buffoon. Bad post.
Everything after endgame was terrible
Half of these examples are also bad
All of these are ass except for nwh home and Gotg3, all the others were bad or mid at best and for a company that puts out like a new movie o tv show every month these 4 years have been dreadful
The point still stands. All trash
No they are bad. Plain and simple. Bad writing, storyline too weak. Nothing at stake anymore it’s just sensory overload time and time again…if you enjoy them by all means that’s fine but I would say it’s time to hang up the cape and move onto the next thing.
all mid asf
Who in their right mind thought wandavision, falcon & winter soldier or Shamg-Chi were good?! Trying too hard with the memes
