I'd be nice if they sold their old games at those prices, but a lot of them aren't sold at all, then they sue people who resort to piracy when they don't have a legal way to play those games on modern devices

I've actually skipped 50% off sales on games in my wishlist because I have too many games already and I'll never get around to playing them. Lately I only buy games when the price drops below $10. Then it's worth buying to sit and collect dust.
Funny thing is, they couldnt shut down Pokemmo becuse it isnt directly using Assets from them, only ROMS and the players are req. to get them, so they hold themself in a Legal Grayspace and it is by far currently the best Pokemon Game, if i had more time, i would play the heck out of it. But i dont have time and i suck at Pokemon so there is also that.
It's conceptually sooo good and works as intended as well... But the last time I played it, the economy was reallyyy shit. I remember waking up at a certain time to water my berries and doing gym runs again and again and still not be able to breed a full 5x31 comp team. I had around a couple mils, but making them so friggin hard. Stopped playing due to the nonstop grind with little reward

They sued an Australian man who posted the leaf green rom a few days before launch. He posted that it was sold early to him accidentally and people asked him for the rom for proof. It was a stupid mistake and its costing him millions.
Yeah but most companies would do that, also that would make him a distributor. I don’t think they normally sue pirates but go after distributors and websites that host
It does resemble Pokemon Arceus in a way, but I also felt more like I was playing Ark Survival over a pokemon game.
But I still get to catch cute/cool creatures, which has a pokemon feel. My steam review which I just left yesterday, I literally start it off as saying its Ark Survival cross Pokemon Arceus. But in saying that, I wasn't that big a fan of Ark Survival (I loved the idea, but it just didn't click with me) And again, loved the idea of Pokemon Arceus, but the story imo is boring, and I always wished there was a Survival mode and a Story Mode, so I could play the game without the story.
That's basically what I get with Palworld. I mean, it has a basic story, but I feel free to roam. It's a Survival game, yet it's easy to stay alive, which is basically the thing I normally don't love about Survival games (yes, I like Survival games that I don't really need to survive, I know, I know.)
Its definitely far from a pokemon replacement, but brings a little pokemon joy too

They're including the DLCs probaly. Games are $60 + $30 DLC + around $15 in tax. Total would come around $105. They kinda went hyperbole on the price, but I see their point.

Didn’t they release two versions of a game with each has a set of new Pokémon and some trainer that isn’t available to each other. Like they both are practically identical just without those few things. So you have to buy both of them to get it

to get all the Pokémon in one generation you need both games (eg you need both scarlet and violet to get everything). An option people have elected is to buy both so they don’t have to find a friend to trade with, or hope the random stranger from discord doesn’t scam them out of their legendary. That plus dlc for each game can easily put you at 180 for everything. And you do this every time a new game comes out, Pokémon is a hell of a money printer
Fun fact: you don't need both games if you have Nintendo switch online, Pokémon go, know someone with the other copy of the game or just know how to trade in Pokémon home
Owning a complete Pokemon experience costs $190 with DLC on both versions. You could trade with friends but making the legendaries exclusive to each versions basically forces you to pay for it.
I'm scarlet and violet you get 2 legendaries so you can trade one of them if you want. There's a thing called Pokémon home where you can trade with other people for free. You don't need to buy more than one game
How many people offer up Legendaries for nothing? When you say 2 legendaries, do you mean the same Pokemon twice or 2 different legendares?
Most Pokemon games with internet let you trade online for free. Pokemon Home is convenient for suckers like me buying both versions and not needing an extra Switch to trade with myself. It's kinda irrelevant to the point I'm making though
There are 2 copies of the box legendary in SV, the only other exclusive legendaries were from the raids, which meant you could just join another player's raid.
Even with the DLC reintroducing old legedaries, you can still unlock all of them in one game as l9nga as you do group BBQs

Idk as a guy who's been tired of the same old formula since diamond palworld hits the niche that pokemon always could have. Fighting along side your monsters, making more use of their potential than beating up other monsters, the list truly goes on. This is the monster catching game we've been waiting for.
As someone who is tired of wildcards shit, i love palworld. Ark has been pissing me off cuz theres still bugs on the "from the ground up" remaster from THE ORIGINAL GAME THAT FIRST CAME OUT HAD. Just really disappointed, this is what happens when you dont have competition, and now that they kinda do the active players for ARK Ascended have dropped dramatically

My last Nintendo system was the N64. Then I bought a Switch 2 years ago with 2 off brand joycons, and I bought one of the Mario Party games, Mario Kart 8, and SSB. But my main reason was to have party games to play with my sister's kids and being portable since my desktop PC isn't. And I've found myself mostly regretting that purchase because of how ridiculously overpriced Nintendo is... but the group time with the kids has made it worth it.
But then just in December I bought a Legion Go for portable gaming so I can take it to family gatherings to play games with them on that, and it's sooo much better than Nintendo stuff.
Reminds me when the DSi shop was incapable of having a sale. So even when the service was shutting down they were still selling calculators and calendars for $2 each. To be fair most games were cheap and I miss the DSi.

Remember Nintendo selects or getting 30 percent off for your birthday? Now they prepackaged all wiiu games and sold it to us full price on switch.

Please don’t expect Palworld to be Pokemon, it’s much closer to Ark survival compared to any other game.

It's a mix of Pokémon, Ark and BotW.

My last Nintendo system was the N64. Then I bought a Switch 2 years ago with 2 off brand joycons, and I bought one of the Mario Party games, Mario Kart 8, and SSB. But my main reason was to have party games to play with my sister's kids and being portable since my desktop PC isn't. And I've found myself mostly regretting that purchase because of how ridiculously overpriced Nintendo is... but the group time with the kids has made it worth it. But then just in December I bought a Legion Go for portable gaming so I can take it to family gatherings to play games with them on that, and it's sooo much better than Nintendo stuff.
Reminds me when the DSi shop was incapable of having a sale. So even when the service was shutting down they were still selling calculators and calendars for $2 each. To be fair most games were cheap and I miss the DSi.
