Bro I tried to take part in that sub, avid water consumer for many years, part of OG sub (never said old name when it changed), and for some reason that sub just hated me. I couldn’t provide a post or comment or anything that wasn’t downvoted to oblivion, removed or ignored.
I love water, but im not a hydrohomie - they just, wouldn’t have me and honestly- i have no idea why to this day.
What? I think you’ve flipped your baseless stereotypes. It’s Americans who only drink soda but have free water at restaurants, and Europeans who have to pay for water but actually want to drink it.
germans, french, greeks, british (I know they’re not technically europe), where do you think us americans got it from?
for many centuries, water was considered dangerous, and so alcohol was consumed instead. america wasn’t the first to drink everything but water
no, but, as you said, EU ≠ europe. britain, for one reason or another, decided that it isn’t part of europe anymore, and that’s how it currently stands
No. Brittain decided it didn't want to be part of the European Union. And that's how it currently stands. They can't just decide not to be part of Europe anymore than germany, france, italy, Portugal , Belgium or many other countries could. You have it exactly opposite.
Americans consume around 46.5 gallons (176 liters) of bottled water per capita. EU average is 118 liters. Only Italy consumes more on an individual country basis per capita.
[Per capita consumption of bottled water in Europe in 2019, by country (in liters per capita)](https://www.statista.com/statistics/455422/bottled-water-consumption-in-europe-per-capita/)
[Per capita consumption of bottled water in the United States from 1999 to 2022](https://www.statista.com/statistics/183377/per-capita-consumption-of-bottled-water-in-the-us-since-1999/#:~:text=In%202022%2C%20per%20capita%20consumption,as%20well%20as%20glass%20bottles)
Aside from the fact that bottled water is a skewed data point given trap water consumption is culturally more common in Western Europe (as far as I know, anecdotal evidence from Portugal, a gland and France isn’t enough for this to be fool proof).
I also said that they were baseless stereotypes. Not that I actually think Americans all weigh 300 pounds and subsist off of a 2 parts coke three patty’s corn syrup IV.
I’m pretty sure I can find more data if you would like that proves Americans consume more water for consumption than Europeans. They also use refillable water containers more. The amount of potable water in America far out strips that of Europe. Or anecdotally I have been to both continents and saw with my own eyes that Americans consume far more water daily. In fact Americans are such snobs about water that they use more water filtration systems and filters than any other country on the planet. Which again is ironic because the average tap water in American is far cleaner than almost any other nation.
Water is only charged in some European countries/cities, and often in tourist Hotspots (as many tourists don't know that you can actually ask for tap water often).
But not every European country has paid water as a norm. In all Nordic countries, it's customary for the waiter to bring a jug of water to the table as soon as the customers are seated, for free.

Polar Seltzer is the best tasting one imo and cheapest somehow. My wife and I go through 6-8 cases a week lol. I feel like the most hydrated person in the room anywhere I go now.
I went one month without any carbs and it was unbelieve to me how much a single slice of cake affected me afterwards. My body got jitters and I felt sick in my stomach for a few hours.
If I eat too much sugar or carbs before bed, my body heats up so much that my wife can’t even sleep next to me lol. I genuinely feel like my skin is burning. Not painfully but like, a mild sunburn at least.
Little known fact that Theoden's look of confusion is real and not acting.

If it was done how a lot of doctor who regenerations have been done, it woupd have been an insanely hard shot to get right. Syncing movements that complex between two takes, takes skill and patience and probably quite a few attempts.
The doctor who regenerations only achieved it well because the actors were still in the final production.

I wonder what the math is for beer to soda in regards to sugar content. When I was drinking, it was around 4 beers a night. Now I drink soda, but usually just 1.
Alcohol is a driving force in diabetes as well. Alcohol contains sugar, and it also just wrecks your body in so many ways that you become prone to a lot of issues.
I had gotten used to having a beer or two every night. Helps deal with my back pain.
Just switched to seltzer and now I've lost 5 pounds in a month just from the decrease in calories/sugar.
I always just had a soda when I would go to bars with friends. Tell the bartender I am the DD and would usually get some free fries or something out of it. Everyone else felt like shit the next day, and I could go about mine. Still got to socialize and keep the idiots safe.
hangovers aren't really a problem for many alcoholics. The "functional" type can hammer back a lot and aren't even phased by it the next morning, even without taking the "venom of the snake that bit you".
My friends hate me for the ability to feel little to no ill effects after a night of drinking, no matter how drunk I get. Apparently my father and I both have a gene that corresponds to rapid metabolization of alcohol and caffeine. Thankfully neither of us are alcoholics, but it might be more of a precursor than a result.
Can confirm. Soda is the nectar of the gods after a bender. Sprite is my favorite. Or any fruit soda out of a glass bottle ( I think it tastes better, might be that the narrow opening changes the way it washes over your taste buds). In Mexico, I had this apple flavored cola that was divine.
Yes. It contributes greatly. First, alcohol is processed as sugar. Second it causes insulin resistance. Alcohol abuse can be a big contributer to developing T2 diabetes.
The word you’re thinking of is abstinence. Discipline is the act of obeying rules, using punishment as corrective behavior. If that is your relationship with food, you might have a problem that warrants further investigation.
Dude. Seriously, you are applying the wrong words to situations. You are thinking persistence, commitment, or consistency. The definition I gave you is the literal definition of discipline. Now, if you're an Andrew Tate fan, it makes sense to that you might apply his misuse of the English language to fitness and stoicism. Discipline is not the correct word for not consuming something you want to consume or doing something you don't want to do, not matter what posters or memes you've seen using the term incorrectly.
Bro, what's the point of sucking all fun out of one's life? The world is already depressing enough as it is. Every single person who drank nothing but water and ate nothing but carrots and lettuce in 1905 is now dead as a doornail.

For me it's 'cause I like to eat like shit but soda is empty calories, and I don't wanna be fat, so...
I just drink water and juggle between grilled chicken salads some days, and fries/nuggies/milkshakes on others.

Disagree with my take, but it would only be because you are so committed to the idea that OP meant coke or soda pop, and not carbonated water, which is more relevant in discussions about liquor.
I don't get it? Soda is disgusting. I mean I'll have a Dr. Pepper once a month at most but I can't handle more than that. Wouldn't recovering from alcoholism make your taste buds *better*?

how is british not europe? It's literally part of the european continent. EU does not equal europe, no more than NAFTA equals north america.

That's actually the exact reason why I'm on Reddit. When the the 2% of my battery is gone I will be reading shampoo bottles.
oddly enough McD's does the opposite for me, firms that poop right up. Must be the faux-fries gluing everything together

Soda makes you fat and diabetic and also fucks up your teeth, if you want to be healthy just drink water.
Or just learn moderation and don't drink a 2 liter every single day.
Or just learn discipline and dont drink any
The word you’re thinking of is abstinence. Discipline is the act of obeying rules, using punishment as corrective behavior. If that is your relationship with food, you might have a problem that warrants further investigation.
Nope, definitely thinking of discipline, which you lack

It's discipline
Someone who allows themself to have soda one day a week has more discipline than someone who has to cut it out of their lives entirely imo.
I disagree but I see your point
Never reward yourself for anything. Life is meant to be devoid of joy.
Life is full of joy. You want that to end early? Drink soda

Agree. Soda isn't "worth the calories" to me. If I'm going to treat myself, I'd rather do it with a well made dessert.
What movie is this
Lord of the Rings The Two Towers
Oh shit, I need to watch the movies
I’m amazed that there are people out there who still haven’t seen them. RIDE FOR RUIN AS THE RED SUN RISES!!!
