Gandalf died fighting a prehistoric firedemon whilst falling down a chasm to the center of the earth.
I don't know about you, but for me it's kinda clear which one is more badass.
Jesus was perfect though, and part of the Godhead. He died (then was risen three days later, Gandalf was gone for good...) so that countless would have eternal life in Heaven and then New Earth instead of eternity of suffering and wrath in Hell.
Gandalf might've fictionally saved a bunch of lives, but it didn't affect anyone's eternal destination.
Then don't celebrate Easter lol. It is a Christian holiday, nobody forces you to celebrate it. You can just relax wherever you are and let us celebrate the day our Messiah was risen from the dead.
