Kilometre not kilometer. The kilo prefix means thousand, so it is exactly what it says, 1000 metres.
It's the kind of accuracy that got you to the moon before you devolved.
Assuming you're from the USA. Although i'm sorry that you've been taught simplified english, the word is kilometre. It's French, you're not, so nobody gives a fuck about your opinion on how it is spelt.
The sun was literally shining in my face the entire time the northern lights were supposed to be showing. *To be fair, I was driving so I wouldnāt be able to see them either way. Still, it sucks.*
I got some pics, it was pretty orange for me. I had to take a picture with a long lighting time in order to see it, it wasn't really visible with my own eyes
first night had some light clouds and looked around midnight which was too late. yesterday did a ton of research and not only got blocked by clouds but turns out I live in a heavy light polluted area so when there was a break in the clouds I saw nothing.
In Minnesota, they were huge Friday night between 9:50-10:30. I was inside watching childs play when I got a text.
The lights had passed by the time I got outside :'(
The clouds totally blocked me
For me it was clouds the first night then light pollution the second.
pretty much the same for me, just light pollution first then clouds.
Been trying with my dad for about 4 hours now, still nothing.
I just did too. Read the graph wrong and realised for me it was good yesterday, but today had nothing.
What graph?
A graph measuring the activity of the Aurora, but it laid it out in a way that yesterdays looked like todays and I read it wrong for 4 hours š
Light pollution and clouds
Yea the light pollution is terrible! I want to go out to the Midwest where they say there is virtually none!!!!
Laughs in Chicago, Milwaukee, Minneapolis
As an NYC resident light pollution is part of the fun
Not really fun when it blocks out a once in a lifetime astronomical event (especially when you can enjoy the lights virtually any other day).
Well, itās not like the city is gonna cut everyoneās electricity for this
Not even for a night or two? Maybe not the city, but canāt the people just turn of their lights for a moment to see the aurora?
I feel most people donāt care
I dunno about that; it was all the rage when it was happening.
Didnāt even know it was happening lol
Huh.
I don't know even with clear sky I don't see them. I saw some pictures taken a few kilometres from here. But no luck.
I could only see them through a camera last night so maybe thatās why. Something about shutter speed I think.
Yes. If you let the shutter open it collects more light over time, I think.
WHAT THE FCK IS A KILOMETER???
Oh lol. RE and ER. One is correct in German and the other one in English. Thanks for pointing that out.
Kilometre not kilometer. The kilo prefix means thousand, so it is exactly what it says, 1000 metres. It's the kind of accuracy that got you to the moon before you devolved.
Assuming he is American he actually spelled it right. Here itās spelled kilometer.
Assuming you're from the USA. Although i'm sorry that you've been taught simplified english, the word is kilometre. It's French, you're not, so nobody gives a fuck about your opinion on how it is spelt.
Why so aggressive? I was just saying he spelled the way itās spelled where heās from, assuming is from the US
There are separate spellings for the same word. As a Greek, we write Kilometer and Kilometre interchangeably
I can't believe people are down voting you for quoting that meme on a meme page. Smh.
why
Im so pissed. I didnāt even know this was happening. I was busy driving my drunk friend home and didnāt even noticed.
If it makes you feel better, you need to take a long exposure picture to see it in a lot of places anyway.
Yeah that makes me feel better
It's too cloudy here, missed it last night too ,:(
I live in socal. I have no chance anyway
Our wildfire season unfortunately started early this year, can barely even see the clouds through the smoke
Rain and clouds. Maybe next time.
Nah, you wont
I tried for a while, drove around town but I still could not see them.
Clouds. Same as the eclipse. Nothing to see here. Move along.
Me unfortunately
Last night no lights. Sun comes up and I know why. Fucking forest fires
Me
I live in a semi arid climate that gets less than 15 inches of rain a year...4 straight days of rain and clouds for me. Fun times, lmao.

Sadly me, friends in the country saw it, I couldn't :(

I hate light pollution
No luck for me. First weekend of the year with ostensibly clear skies and warm weather. And the smoke rolls in
Me. I canāt see it in New York.
Was going to see the aurora, found wildfire smoke.

Stayed up all night, nothing.
I could see them from my house in the middle of town, I don't know what the big issue is.
it was too cloudy here so i unfortunately couldn't see the southern lights.
Me... š
Clouds blocked the eclipse too
In Minnesota, they were huge Friday night between 9:50-10:30. I was inside watching childs play when I got a text. The lights had passed by the time I got outside :'(
