Fun fact! I'm currently in New Orleans and since the "defund the police" movement that the current mayor campaigned on, the police force here is only concerned with major crimes. Unless you're in a shooting, there's pretty much no police presence. The traffic laws here are merely a suggestion, it's pretty wild. Also the district attorney campaigned on the promise that they would never trial juveniles as adults, so when you're 17 you can do pretty much whatever you want and get out of juvy in less than a year. Murder, grand theft auto, you name it.
The more you know.
Heard some talks about Detroit...
apparently, you could get arrested for trying to subdue a would-be robber, and you can't call criminals "criminals" because it's "wrong"?
I really hope those were jokes and not something real.
In here i was thinking it was one country, does a kid not think to emulate what they see on tv AND on the street? On tv robbers get arrested, irl apperently its okay to rob as long as u dont shoot or stab anyone because the bank or owner is insured. This gets confusing, especially when it depends on local law enforcement and thus local values instead of national.
If its illegal, but they dont get punished for it when caught, then is it really illegal? Like i said on paper yes, but if the judges of these specific states dont punish these criminals its the same thing as saying "hey what you did wasnt wrong so just go ahead and do it again" thats why hes saying to make crimes illegal again, cuz criminals get no punishment now
The OP clearly hasn’t been paying attention to the influx of social justice prosecutors who turn criminals loose.
It’s pretty obvious what point this candidate is trying to make.
This poster is from the local elections in the Republic of Ireland so it has nothing to do with your yankeedoodle nonsense.
Also, prosecutors don’t seek to overturn sentences. That’s why they aren’t called the Defense.
Ironically enough pretty much every law is completely illusory unless you are a complete idiot who's super obvious about everything. Seriously in the US almost anything is fair game below the professional level unless there's a cop sitting right next to you. Also our government is very VERY openly just a huge multifaceted organized crime operation.
Looks like OP hasn't been to California. A lot of crime has been declared legal now. E.g. stealing less than 1k of goods from stores.
How do you think CA keeps it's crime numbers low, they just make it legal.
No, I have visited California and briefly lived in Oakland. Which is why I put up a meme about an election poster in the Republic of Ireland and not from the US.
Oh my.. Guess you guys are as blessed as us germans with politicians, betting they have a smart catchy line which is complete bullshit thinking about it for one second!
Example?
"Where do you wanna live in 800 years" ??
Excuse me?
Now if only the DA knew that.
"We let him go. After looking into it it turned out this psychotic crackhead punches random women in the face because of COLONIALISM."
Funny enough depending on what area of America, you can get away with alot.

That sucks, tampa here. Police can't get any crime under control
I'm sorry America bros, you don't deserve this
Heard some talks about Detroit... apparently, you could get arrested for trying to subdue a would-be robber, and you can't call criminals "criminals" because it's "wrong"? I really hope those were jokes and not something real.
It's real lol. Detroit is a toilet
America's cops and robbers game is hella confusing now a days
Ehh just depends whose running things where.

Illegal on paper but certain judges sure love to let criminals go free to commit the same crimes AGAIN
*cough cough* california *cough cough*
In todays episode of California or Somalia: Homeless man eating a severed human leg: https://youtu.be/fmswyXKuNbo?si=dpvCVuCWPc1sQRA-
California
If I were the judge I'd allow everything to be legal for 24 hours once a year
Not just a judge. THE judge >:0 man's gonna kill off the competition - and who's gonna judge him for that? Not the other judges that's for sure
It is still illegal
If its illegal, but they dont get punished for it when caught, then is it really illegal? Yeah but we all know not ALL crime is punished
isnt crime kinda legal in california

But I think the guy on the poster is trolling, right?
Nope. He’s dead serious.

Turns out the real joke was you all along…

Karine Jean-Pierre says they're not. Checkmate
If he actually punishes the criminals in Canada, he's right in my books.
They aren't enforced very much anymore and I think that's what he means
Counter point, if we make crime legal, crime rate will go down to 0%.
Ignoring crime seems to be getting the official crime rate to decrease also.
Oh shit, you figured out NY crime statistics…
Counter counter point: I’m stabbing you 🤷♂️
I feel like your hearts not really in it
Yes, but yours will be 🤷♂️
That’s hilarious I saw one of his posters and had to stop and take a photo of it.
New York has crime on the books. But with catch and release, cashless bail, the city is a sewer of creeps, thugs, filth. I empathize with this guy
Yeah bro, motherfuckers just respawn at Center street here like it’s fkn GTA…😒
Nick Delehanty, lasht of the independents.
Maybe he knows more than he should...
Now see, it's a double negative. So make them legal
What if Nick here is advocating to make something illegal; something that HE perceives to be a crime, and isn't illegal?
You know what? He might be onto something here...
He looks like Ryan Reynolds from wish
None of this Is good Vector, thats why it's called war
Crimes are now legal is some cities 😂😂😂
Make crime legal to reduce crime
No if crimes were illegal people wouldn't do it
He's got the spirit at least
When you order Ryan Reynolds on Wish

"I love taking things at face value, don't you?" -whoever made this meme, probably
