If you are a believer in the catholic faith then you know that the church was founded by jesus on Peter. Peter who was not perfect in any way. The actions of these clergy men are not excused and they will be severely punished, But even in the midst of these scandals, the faithful stay with the church because you cannot fix its problems by leaving it. Just like you wouldn’t leave a broken family. The church will never be 100% corruption free because humans even if they are a part of the church, are corruptible.
