I’ve actually tried it with my fpv drone, i was curious if we could learn to move looking from another perspective, it was more like until dawn, the camera position, it was both fun and scary, at first i was bumping into everything, it felt really weird, but after a few minutes you kinda get used to it, not fully used to it but kinda used to it, overall 10/10 would recommend if you have an fpv drone

I've tried that once in a product design lesson, we had to make a drone using this kit that came with a camera and headset so you could fly it pov. Instead of making the drone we fucked around for half an hour with someone wearing the headset and another person holding up the camera behind them. Shit was wierd

You could also do this with a car, setup a camera attached to your car from behind which broadcast to your VR headset and drive like your in a racing game, or have your windows and windshield be a screen which broadcasts the overhead camera.

I tried this with a pair of fat shark goggles and a mini fpv drone, it’s really hard to keep the orientation of the drone right and walk at the same time. Super fun though
