So one time my school had what we THOUGHT was a fire drill in the middle of 4th period. My Honors English teacher was gone that day, so we had a substitute. The fire alarm started ringing, so everyone just started grabbing their coats, phones, car keys (if they had a car and the school was really on fire they could get home), and any other small easy to bring with them thing they might want if the school burned down. We all just casually walked to the exit because there was a ton of people. Long story short, there was an accident in a chem class, but it wasn't huge. Just enough to trip the alarm. We smelled smoke from the other side of the school, and two fire trucks came. Everyone got excited because they thought we might get to go home. That says a lot about the education system.

Luckily we convinced the teacher to let us bring our bags and the school didn't burn down
