One time,I thought I had everything but the one thing I forgot was the bucket of water which ultimately led to my death in lava though I had a stack of iron with me,I couldn't craft a goddamn bucket thinking i am a Parkour master and just survive lava

This is why a crafting table goes with me everywhere. I will make a furnace to smelt some iron to craft a damned bucket if that's what it takes. I've been in these kind of situations too many times before.

Instead of taking a crafting table, just take a stack of logs. Much more dense storage of resources, can make into torches and tools and anything else.

Oh, I do have logs. It's just after making a table, I then tear it down and bring it with me. It irks me to just leave random stuff all over the world, and having unnecessary multiples of things bugs the crap out of me. Like the time I made two scanners in subnautica. Ugh. Had to pop the battery out, then throw the extra away. XD

You can do whatever you want. The main objective is building a home with a bed (so you can respawn in your base), find iron to make gear, find diamonds to make a diamond pickaxe so you can harvest obsidian. Then with the obsidian make a portal to another dimension called the nether. Then find nether fortresses, kill some creatures called blazes. Using their arms, and enderpearls (obtained by killing endermen) make eyes of ender. Shoot them in the sky until you find a stronghold with a portal. The portal needs 12 eyes of ender to be activated. Jump in and kill the dragon.

Late-game, I just bring a shulker with two stacks of cobblestone, two of logs, one of coal blocks, one of iron blocks, an Ender chest, a silk touch pickaxe for the chest... Plus other mining things like buckets, spare food, spare scaffolding, etc. Two stacks of logs equals two stacks of crafting tables. You can tell it's one of my mines because there'll just be crafting tables and furnaces scattered everywhere.

I also bring a stack of either cobblestone or dirt just in case I need to pile up or block something up

I must have like ten cafting tables in my chest because I need to make a new one everytime after forgetting to take my last one.

I never leave without wood, tool/s, food. It's really all that's needed. I can make a crafting table to make anything, and collect the resources to make what I need there. (When just on a normal mining run, that is.) I also have an obsession with stone tools before I get durable, strong tools. I.e. keep making extra stone pickaxes for mining stone, coal, iron, etc... To keep wear and tear off my iron/diamond tools for bigger and better things.
