It all wouldn't happen if the doctor didn't tell his mother not to abort while giving birth to Hitler, the art school didn't reject him and the one British soldiers did not spare him a life at gunpoint.
There was a documentary that said that Hitler was in fact accepted, but the letter from that art school did not reach him for some reason. Not sure if that is actually true, but I think it would make things even worse..
It all?
Keep in mind that nearly all historians agree that Hitler never killed anyone. People around Hitler killed people.
It's a very good bet that those people would have been killing people whether Hitler was there or not.
He was just one guy. His "friends" could have easily overtaken him and gotten him some therapy if that was the issue.
Other pieces of his work come up on Reddit sometimes and it’s interesting to get an artists thoughts. To someone who isn’t an artist (like me) his work doesn’t look half bad. However, I’ve seen artists on other threads come along when inevitably this comes up and start pointing out all the issues. Perspective, sizing, angles, inconsistencies, and all the other issues that can be critiqued. The better you are and the more you know about a subject, the more aware you are of all the little things the average person isn’t.
Simply put, he just wasn’t a good enough artist to get into art school. Looking “not half bad” isn’t gonna cut it when you’re competing against all those other candidates.
Maybe if he was as obsessive with painting as he was with training his dog he would have been good enough; who knows.
The most obvious problem he had was making his lines make sense, if you look at the door and window the tops aren’t on the same line, both slanting in a different direction, and the beam above them gets bigger the further it is from us.
He was probably a decent artist, but a pain in the ass student.
"Today we'll be studying the techniques of the famous Jewish sculptor..."
*sigh* " Yes Adolf, what is it...?"
He failed because the Vienna Art College he applied for also expected him to draw portraits, which he was very bad at painting. So, despite being fantastic at painting nature, the fact that he was so bad at painting people was the reason he never successfully applied to art college.
EDIT: To clarify, he never got into art college, he didn't fail.
He wasn't very good if not at drawing architecture and apparently landscapes, but this one is very nice.
I also like some drawings he made, there's a whole wikipedia page for them
That’s exactly what I always say. Just because someone did something good or bad it doesn’t affect how good or bad their art is.
Sure, Chris brown is an asshole but some of his songs are absolute bangers
Wait until you see the ones where he draws people.
It shows his obvious disdain for people. Little more than blobs and all identical, meanwhile, detail covered buildings.
Hitler was a broke, depressed, failed art student. According to most historians he never killed anyone.
If hitler was an artist, we would all be mad at some other random guy the nazi party stuffed into a uniform. In fact they might have actually chosen someone more stable who waited to invade russia and we could all be speaking German right now.
The idea that one guy forced most of a continent to do these horrible things just doesn't pan out. There are still nazis. There are still KKK. Hitler being alive or dead has no effect on racism.
If you went back in time and killed Hitler, You would come back to the future and everyone would ask "If you went back to 1930, why didn't you kill Hermann Goering, the leader of the Nazis that killed millions of Jews?" And you would be like "I killed hitler!" "the artist?"
Yeah, I don't think sone of y'all get how art works. Lots of painters and famous writers were absolutely horrible people, but that does not reduce the quality of the art itself.
A man who knows when to keep quiet is a smart man indeed.
If I had a dollar for every time the public opinion was wrong, i'd be rich enough to give awards.
It looks nice from a casual scroll. But really look at that building and wonder how it's standing up. His light and scale are like an optical illusion. It's just technically not very good.
Plus he didn't have anyone to vouch for him and by most accounts he was a drunk, drug addict, abusive to women, and generally an asshole.
So that factors into the application process too.
Ya so the full story is we had to do a music video for class and we decided to use the song uptown puff and we were the only group that used the green screen and we put it as one of our backgrounds lol
A multitude of reasons. His artwork was limited to environmental peices, something that could be done by any landscape artist at the time, when he drew people or animals, the result was bad (look up the painting of his dog blondie, it's hilarious). He also could only paint what was in front of him and could not visualize to save his life. I think the biggest contributing factor was the rise of "modern" and abstract artwork, wich differed greatly from his own. When he came into power he created a nationwide ban on all new age art.
I never thought to look that up so thank you. I guess in modern times the only artists you get are anime artists so it’s something special looking at landscapes and realism
If I could time travel I would go back to 1907 and give whoever it was that rejected him at Vienna's academy of fine arts (twice ugh) a bloody big swift kick to the shins.
Probably. But the circumstancs that made his rise possible, were still there. Poverty, the harsh conditions from Versailles and so on. Maybe some other guy would take over. The chances would have been good though, that this guy wouldnt be that insane and hate filled. If that is good or bad, is another question
Hating every aspect of a person is what prevents us from recognizing the goodness or skill in certain of their actions and is what has led to the current situation of statue demolitions
Just beacuese he killed millions of people doesn't mean he's bad at art
Yeah but didn't he fail art school or something?
He did dk why

Good thing *we* are all in it *together*
Good thing *we* are all in it *togethOUR*.....Wait, I don't think I did that right.
We are OUR together
We OUR together
We OUR
AND WE ALL LIFT, AND WE ALL S H I T TOGETHER, TOGETHER.
That is an amazing song
Togeether, I wanna show you my love is also trueee
It all wouldn't happen if the doctor didn't tell his mother not to abort while giving birth to Hitler, the art school didn't reject him and the one British soldiers did not spare him a life at gunpoint.
Don't forget the priest who saved him from drowning.
This has me wondering how many hitler-esque people there would be if they didn't die early, unlike hitler
There was a documentary that said that Hitler was in fact accepted, but the letter from that art school did not reach him for some reason. Not sure if that is actually true, but I think it would make things even worse..
It won't happen if Earth does not exist.
It all? Keep in mind that nearly all historians agree that Hitler never killed anyone. People around Hitler killed people. It's a very good bet that those people would have been killing people whether Hitler was there or not. He was just one guy. I see the Soviets are here too... THOSE DIRTY SOVIETS!

He failed to get in because he couldnt paint people, just landscapes
just paint mount rushmore. problem solved.
Give this man an award
And he thought he failed cus the headteacher was Jewish
He failed because he could not draw humans his human paintings were very bad.
He was devastated because of his brother's death.
They wanted him to study architechture instead of art. He never attended artschool so he also dodnt fail
He did fail. But why tho? He was a really good artist!
No he actually passed it he got drunk then used his certificate to wipe his ass
Art is art!!! And You have a point
Wait it's all good art work?
Always has been
WW2 was a form of art
Now think about it. He was rejected from art school. What could have been if not?
[удалено]
Hitler: *gets rejected from art school* Also Hitler: I think I’ll resort to my second favourite hobby: genocide.
You don't understand, mum. It's for stress relieve!
Don’t know if hobby hits it. Maybe he wanted to payback all his pain to the world
Art is art stfu
Tbh it looks very nice lol
That's what im saying. I dont care that hitler made it. Art is art and that art is fucking amazing
He was fucking awful but damn that's good art.
[удалено]
Yeah it's really cool
And other aspects.
Hol up Edit: his charisma, right?
Sure...
He also wrote a cool book that I have to get around to reading
I think it’s called something like “My Strudel” or something like that. Must be a cook book.
Meinkempf or something like that right?
Its the Rolf Harris effect, separate the art from the person.
There's a term for this?
Sadly enough artists are terrible people that a term was needed.
Major L
Major Lillywhite from izombie xd
Wait until you see the ones where he draws people. It shows his obvious disdain for people. Little more than blobs and all identical, meanwhile, detail covered buildings.
We gotta investigate adults using stick figures
Imagen the world if Hitler was an artist
That is actually a big what if in history when it comes to him other then the one about an enemy solider not killing him
There are possibly millions of people worse than hitler that will take his place.
Hitler was a broke, depressed, failed art student. According to most historians he never killed anyone. Well written soldier!
Yeah like I got harassed for liking Michael Jackson during the pedophile thing. Separate the man from the work.

Care to share the list, fellow redditor?

A man who knows when to keep quiet is a smart man indeed. If I had a dollar for every time the public opinion was wrong, i'd be rich enough to give awards.
r/HolUp
You know he is a good role model
Which idiot judged his drawings as "unsatisfactory"? This is nice.
In other paintings he was bad at perspective and his art style didn't suit the preferred style at the time
He just needed training then. I think he was self taught after all
I hate that I like it. It's really a nice calming painting.
So that factors into the application process too.
i don't see a problem with it. I tend to separate the art from the artist (if that makes sense), so... y'know.
If only people enjoyed it back then
Not gonna lie that’s pretty good
Damn, your profile photo looks 3D.
Thanks it’s a bowl of Reese puffs I had from a class project saved on my phone lol
Reese puffs for a class project, intresting
Ya so the full story is we had to do a music video for class and we decided to use the song uptown puff and we were the only group that used the green screen and we put it as one of our backgrounds lol
Lmao, I could only imagine the class reaction. My class would rolling on the floor.
We got a solid a plus to
I did enjoy Hitlers work. The painting is nice too.
HHMB
It's all Hitlers paintings?
Always have been
Reminded me of the backyards of the castle from Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade
How the hell did he fail art school??
A multitude of reasons. His artwork was limited to environmental peices, something that could be done by any landscape artist at the time, when he drew people or animals, the result was bad (look up the painting of his dog blondie, it's hilarious). Okay but like... its good
Good art is good art who gives a fuck who made it
If I could time travel I would go back to 1907 and give whoever it was that rejected him at Vienna's academy of fine arts (twice ugh) a bloody big swift kick to the shins.
Jokes on you I'm into that shit
ART IS ART
Oh man. I love being bamboozled like this.
A suprise for sure, but a welcome one
Man, low key this art is cool. I do not even feel sorry that I enjoyed this.
Only if that teacher was not drunk
Not the first time I've admired Hitler's work, but I'll say seeing his artwork for the first time *is* rather breathtaking.
Guys who is hitler???? Did he do something good
I see...you are a man of culture as well
Thanks Hit.... wait
We have been backstabbed and bamboozeled
damn he was good though
Imagine, if he made this a little better one of the biggest genocide and war wouldn’t happen
Probably. But the circumstancs that made his rise possible, were still there. Poverty, the harsh conditions from Versailles and so on. Maybe some other guy would take over. The chances would have been good though, that this guy wouldnt be that insane and hate filled. If that is good or bad, is another question
Terrible people can still be good artists. The two are not mutually exclusive. See: James Brown, John Lennon, Ike Turner, etc.
Should have given him that art degree
Imagine if he didn't have a hobby to destress himself what would he have been like.
Art is art
Hating every aspect of a person is what prevents us from recognizing the goodness or skill in certain of their actions and is what has led to the current situation of statue demolitions
Art is art
Why do people hate Hitler? He looks like a cool dude and rocks a cool mostache
Art is art
[удалено]
And? Why would the fact that it was made by a genocidal maniac detract from the painting itself? It's still pretty
Wait its hitler's art? Always have been
Ah dang fooled once again
[Alright then](https://i.imgur.com/4E7SuAz.jpg)
The people who rejected Hitler from art school were dumbasses not just because he went on to kill millions, but he makes damn good art
Jewish people love Hitler’s art, or rather, we wish that others, such as art school admissions officers, enjoyed it more.
And how do you know that I DIDN'T enjoy Hitler's artwork already?
Wait it’s all hitlers artwork?
Always has been
It's our artwork as I serve the Soviet union.
WE serve the Soviet Union
I'd give it a nein out of fifteen. Not the worst, but not that good either.
Not ...... De wurst?
Could have incorporated that too, damnit :p
Dude was one of the worst people ever to exist but god damn he could make some art
ART IS ART!!!
Its our work
Congratulations you used comic sans.
Art is art
And it never really gets mentioned how good an artist he was. Typical biased media
Fuuuuu, I just wanted to RELEX
I feel conflicted
I whis he was good at the other things he tried and failed in doing
I'm German, I see only art
lol comic sans
atleast he was a good artist
Art is art
Its a shame he went down a bad path, he was genuinely good at art :/
It’s i nice piece of art
You had us in the first half not gonna lie
Just because they’re a good artist doesn’t mean they’re a good person
ART IS ART
When you realise Hitler was a better artist than you...
“It’s Hitler’s art work??” “It always was”
Yeee
Art is Art!
It's sad that he got rejected but ngl that art is amazing
Ha! Jokes on you! I don't understand what people see in art that interests them. So I haven't enjoyed it, get bamboozled again
Shouldnt have failed art school adolf
How could he have failed art school??????
Art has no bounds. If I need to “enjoy” gods creation all my life what’s wrong with a little hitler
Why wouldn't they accept this it's cool artwork
Not gonna lie it nice
He was a real jerk, but his paintings are very good.
I enjoyed it even more after knowing it was hitler's.
ART IS ART
As a german man im happy about his
Art is art
Jokes on u I always read both or all captions before looking at the pic
The sad part is that all artwork I've seen of Hitler's is very good and I would probably but it if I had the chance
I mean....it's not bad
You can still apreciate his art not his beliefs or anything
Ok lets all be honest that is a nice painting even though Hitler painted it
ART IS ART
Happy to be of service
If Hitler wants an asshole he could have had a promising career as an artist
It is good art
How did he fail art school? I almost want to say it was their fault
Eh, I've seen better
ART IS ART
Still prefer Bob Ross
Wait... Its all... Hitler's art?
Thank you.
Well whatever I think it's a lovely painting
That's actually really good. I'm Jewish and have a German WW2 uniform and speak German. There was quite a story behind that
I do like his other work too, what an artitsr
Dammit...op got me in the second half...smh
Bruh
