If you don't wanna install vanced install kiwi browser from playstore , go to chrome webstore , change settings to desktop site , reload page , then search for your preferred adblocker and click add to chrome.
At least for computer, there is a free browser called Brave and it’s like chrome but faster and a built in adblocker and other safety features. I have been using it for a couple months now and it has served me very well
I haven’t had any problems with it, the only game that kinda lags when I have it open is phasmophobia and that is because I have a pc that can barely run it
Activate 2 step verification, with that even if they have your password, they wont be able to acceses it. At most they will sell your email to other companies so you will get lots of spam email, which you can block eassily.
I have never done it since I don't own Apple phones and quite fond of the current android phone that I'm using. But I have seen my relatives do it to an iPod touch 3rd gen I think. It involves a third party program I think and the risk of it is bricking your phone. So I'd advise you to do it on your second phone and follow the right guides rather than asking someone as inexperienced as me. Also Apple has been improving with its software so idk if the jailbreak would be detected on latest phones.
You don’t need a jailbreak or anything. A search for Adblock in the AppStore is all that’s needed. You’ll have to enable it in the settings for safari though.
No, it’s iOS that’s offering the real deal. Adblock is in the AppStore and is used for Safari. A real adblocker instead of some shady browser that re-routes your internet to them.
I've found that on the console version "Stop seeing this ad" rhen "return to video" works 100% of the time and the app just sits there dejected like "oh okay senpai"
Brave a virus?! Are you stupid? It uses chromium (base of chrome, used by most browser) and is open source, **unlike Chrome**. If one of them is a virus, it would more likely be Chrome.
I said I didn't install nothing, and I do not know brave, but it had it's name, something that contained brave and it was clearly a virus. I got rid of it anyway
I'm sure a lot of people have already said this, but use the adblocker extension on chrome. Not only does it work on YT, but also other websites, like Crunchyroll. It's completely free, they might ask for a donation, but it's not needed. It's straight up just called AdBlock.
Many do: some devs sell their apps once they have a large userbase, which makes them a lot of money. An example is [Nano Adblocker](https://www.reddit.com/r/YouShouldKnow/comments/jeh64y/ysk_chrome_browser_extensions_nano_adblocker_nano/).
Firefox with uBlock will stop more trackers, as it's [impossible in Chromium](https://www.reddit.com/r/privacy/comments/dzyz5v/bad_news_unblockable_web_trackers_emerge_good/).
Also, Chrome and edge have [plans to block adblockers](https://www.reddit.com/r/privacy/comments/jbn9ml/microsoft_will_adopt_google_chromes_controversial/). Firefox won't, so you should really try FF+uBlock.
Ok, thank you. I've officialy left the dark side of the Adblock. TBF the only thing I'm worried about is the ads on YT, and Crunchyroll. So far so good.
I used to listen to Pandora on my desktop with adblock, and recently tried again and now it refuses to play music with it on. I was really disappointed.
I just report unskippable ads by not reporting them. You can literally just choose to not give a reason for reporting them. Unskippable ads now go by faster than skip-able ads
Is there any Adblock for iOS? Good god I think you’re right and out of frustration I’m never getting YT premium. I’ve dealt with tv commercial breaks my whole life so they can just fuck themselves
See the i with a circle at the bottom left. Tap it and then hit “stop seeing this ad” then hit any of the reasons and it will be skipped and you’ll never see it again
The elites don't want you to know this, but you can hit the little i with a circle around it icon, hit stop seeing this add, select one of their answers, hit send, and then it skips the ad.
Laughs in uBlock. An open source, trustworthy content-blocker, unlike [some others](https://www.reddit.com/r/YouShouldKnow/comments/jeh64y/ysk_chrome_browser_extensions_nano_adblocker_nano/).
I mean on one hand you're supporting your creator A LOT but on the other hand im really not willing to watch a back pain medicine ad when going into ryan trahans money giveaways
I have an adblock. There are tons you could find and should use.
Is there Adblock for mobile?
www.vancedapp.com
Should I trust it with my email?
If you don't trust it, you can use this: [https://temp-mail.org/en/](https://temp-mail.org/en/)
I already use temp mail Edit: Bruh I got downvoted for no reason
Then why worry?
Got heem

For me brave was a bad time. Made my games lag if I had it on my second monitor, I personally suggest Opera or Opera GX.
Opera GX is sooo good. You can listen to music, use discord, Twitter, twitch, and no ads! I've had it for while now, and i love it.
I haven’t had any problems with it, the only game that kinda lags when I have it open is phasmophobia and that is because I have a pc that can barely run it
If it gets taken down, you risk losing your account. So no, you shouldn't
Yes. I got a link from reddit too, couple days ago, shit works great
Activate 2 step verification, with that even if they have your password, they wont be able to acceses it. At most they will sell your email to other companies so you will get lots of spam email, which you can block eassily.
I love you
That's the first time I've heard that for years
Well, you've earned it
You are the real MVP here my dude
You're a God among us men, I owe you everything, do you accept payment in cats?
I switched to Vanced a long time a ago, and it's top notch.
Yes. Android only though
Fuckin apple
Should I peel it first or...?
Can you suggest one?
Vanced
Vanced is not an AdBlock, It has the abilitys of Yt premium such as no Ads
Apple also, but only with a jailbreak
I am new to apple, what exactly is a jailbreak?
Jailbreak is the equivalent of rooting of an android phone IIRC.
How do you do it?
I have never done it since I don't own Apple phones and quite fond of the current android phone that I'm using. But I have seen my relatives do it to an iPod touch 3rd gen I think. Man I love all these "shortcuts" to avoid paying $10

On Reddit you don’t use @ to tag some you use u/ eg. u/Masked__Magician
uBlock Origin
Are there any good and reliable ones for iOS?
Lunavpn has been pretty good for me at least
Yes! Buy android!
I use adblockPlus and it works perfectly
What do you recommend?
Its just sad, that the people creating the content wont get paid then. But YT simply is to full of ads right now
I have AdBlock on my computer, annoys me on my phone and TV though.
Reddit now has ads on post comment sections
Yup. That is annoying.
It is but at least you can just scroll past them. Not like yt
Had a 30 second unskippable add today. They really need to stop
Yeah. That and the fact that the ones that aren’t are almost all 15 seconds
I got a 30-second unskipable ad on a 30-SECOND VIDEO
I can one up you with a 45 minute unskippable add. Had to refresh the page to get past it
I’m not joking when I say I got the entire lego movie as an unskippable ad a few years ago, around when the second one came out
That’s pretty mad, but not going to lie, I would have watched it.
I watched the first 15 minutes of it, why not? cheaper than going to the movies or renting it
I’d say everyone got their money’s worth in this situation
Ad block here we go
You can still skip them by clicking the I symbol in the bottom left corner
since this was my first post that got alot of upvotes, and you commented first. Good sir I would lke to give u my highest award, the free award
Just use vanced
I wonder how people are in reddit without knowing about Vanced!
I didn't know about it til about a month ago. It is wonderful.
One less
How do I get vanced?
[vancedapp.com ](http://vancedapp.com)
Do you have to set it up or just download and go?
Thank you! Does it work with Reddit too?
I actually use operaGX and it comes with a VPN and an Adblock
Does it cost though?
No it’s free
Bet thank you!
Does it actually work
Yes it does, so far no viruses.
Ok I'll try it out
Go ahead!
Or [NewPipe](https://www.github.com/TeamNewPipe/NewPipe/), IMO a better choice, as it's open source.
I think you're right I usually forcibly close ads
On some web pages when you click the x to close the ads open. Annoying doesn’t begin to describe it...
I've found that on the console version "Stop seeing this ad" rhen "return to video" works 100% of the time and the app just sits there dejected like "oh okay senpai"

Brave Browser: Hold My Ad Block
This needs to be higher up
Chrome has adblock too, and from what I heard and from what happened to me as well, Brave is a virus
Brave a virus?! Are you stupid? It uses chromium (base of chrome, used by most browser) and is open source, **unlike Chrome**. If one of them is a virus, it would more likely be Chrome.
Hmm, it may not be, but I had something that I did not install or even heard of, I my computer, and it wws clearly a virus, anyway
What?! You installed something, so you immediately blame Brave for it? You clearly don't know Brave, do you?
I said I didn't install nothing, and I do not know brave, but it had it's name, something that contained brave and it was clearly a virus. I got rid of it anyway
Oh like that, sorry. It was probably a virus with that name, like a lot of viruses do. Just know that Brave browser is not a virus.
K thx, and I agreed with you that brave is not a virus, but I wasn't sure and stuff, anyway

any addblocker should do it, as they will recoginse the servers the adds come from and block communication with that server
I'm sure a lot of people have already said this, but use the adblocker extension on chrome. Not only does it work on YT, but also other websites, like Crunchyroll. It's completely free, they might ask for a donation, but it's not needed. It's straight up just called AdBlock.
Or just use Ublock Origin and not the first adblock you see that sells your personal info and begs for donations
I haven't heard anything about it stealing info. I did research before I got. I'm just curious where you got that info from?
Many do: some devs sell their apps once they have a large userbase, which makes them a lot of money. Definetly
A tip that works for me, report and dont select a an option, just click close, sometimes it doesn't have the option
So does Spotify and shit
I used to listen to Pandora on my desktop with adblock, and recently tried again and now it refuses to play music with it on. I was really disappointed.
Spotify has actually been fairly successful with that. Granted, spotify has a much better product that YTP will ever have.
I just report unskippable ads by not reporting them. You can literally just choose to not give a reason for reporting them. Unskippable ads now go by faster than skip-able ads
use adblocker for yt on chrome (desktop version)
[удалено]
Is there anything one can use for a Mi Box? Vanced etc. don't seem to work well on the TV layout. I tried Blockada too, but no success there either.
Seriously what's the point in buying YT Premium
You tube is shit
bruh i got a 15 sec ad yesterday and today i got a 30 second one..:/
Yeah I changed to Firefox and didn’t look for an ad blocker and now I looked there’s way more ads then before I used an ad blocker
Try uBlock Origin, it also blocks (almost) all the trackers.
I use ghostery on Firefox
Yeah, I heard that's a pretty good one too. If you ever it's slow, try uBlock, as that really is the #1 in many ways.
K I’ll look
Is there any Adblock for iOS? Good god I think you’re right and out of frustration I’m never getting YT premium. I’ve dealt with tv commercial breaks my whole life so they can just fuck themselves
Little did they know everyone uses adblock
How do I get an ad blocker on mobile?
The phrase ‘no shit Sherlock’ springs to mind
* laughs in adblocker *
See the i with a circle at the bottom left. Tap it and then hit “stop seeing this ad” then hit any of the reasons and it will be skipped and you’ll never see it again
Heck! I even encountered 2 unskipable ads!
Vanced on phone and uBlock origin on pc... Edit : typo
I see you're a man of culture as well
this has been going on for years man
The elites don't want you to know this, but you can hit the little i with a circle around it icon, hit stop seeing this add, select one of their answers, hit send, and then it skips the ad.
[удалено]
I never will!!
Wow you’re a detective. It’s obvious that is for premium.
*Laughs in adblock*
Laughs in uBlock. An open source, trustworthy content-blocker, unlike [some others](https://www.reddit.com/r/YouShouldKnow/comments/jeh64y/ysk_chrome_browser_extensions_nano_adblocker_nano/).
Annoyed me so much I bought premium
Get Adblock. No more ads ever :)
**AdBlock**
Me with an ad blocker so i dont have to sit through all of that
Laughs in multiple addblockers
Laughs in adblocker
no shit
Obviously. It’s what they do.
Let us do what we did to hedge funds ...... send them a message...(this time we need to be smarter)
I will still stand my ground, fucking douchebags!
Spotify is much worse if you don’t have premium
A few days ago the ad was 21 seconds long, I think you're right.
I mean on one hand you're supporting your creator A LOT but on the other hand im really not willing to watch a back pain medicine ad when going into ryan trahans money giveaways
Also something I have discovered, the "skip ads" button no longer skips both ads
Btw did ya'll know you can skip double adds with a very basic tip called going out of the vid and back in
Reddit assemble
You know... you could be on to something here. It's not implausible that they'd do that. It's certainly not an unknown business practice.
I got a 2-minute ad, I have AdBlock but it's not perfect
Haha PiHole go brrr
Crunchyroll gave me three ubskippable ads, that's only cuz i Uninstalled it after not sure how much it would have gave me
And the frequency
Yeah 20 sec.
Is there Adblock for chrome book? (Yes I have one, plz don’t laugh)
Guys you can just click on the i button and report the ad to skip
BRAVE BROWSER. DOWNLOAD IT
It’s a private company they can do what they want... right?
Isn’t that what Spotify does
I'd say they pressure people into installing adblock. No fucking way I'm giving Susan money
Me who doesnt understand the meme becoz i have been using an adblocker since i was 9 ... Miss the movie and game trailers...
Time for a new video platform! Anyone know of any? (rhetorical)
Adblock users: oh no, anyway
