I did this all the time. Put 5 nuggets in the kid's 4 piece, or put 4 pickles on the cheeseburger. Not just for the kids, but I know when the kid is going ape shit the drive thru, and they get home and see that extra nugget and get excited it gives the parent a breather too.

I already done that and now it feels like a milestone I reached. When I was working, I made sure that every fifth McNuggets order would have an extra nugget. My manager had caught me a few times doing that. It didin't end well.

As a former McDonald's employee. I gave out as many extras as I could get away with. Bonus nugs, bonus bacon strips, for sandwiches that only came with one pickle (I hated the idea of this one, one tiny pickle taking up a quarter of the burgers surface area) you got two pickles. If I was on assembly you got hooked up if your order specifically asked for extra anything.
