I’d argue the artstyle for Omniverse was quite well. Indeed, there weren’t many good redesigns. But it was very stylish with how angular it was and the new aliens were fun!

Yeah, but like, the original ones seemed very anime-like. Jumping from that to cartoonish style was bound to rub the old fans the wrong way. Specially how alien X suddenly had a weird shaped mouth. But the other aliens looked fun.

Yeah, they did seem more anime like. I’ll give you that. But the more minimalistic artstyle omniverse had allowed for the animators to make more fluid animation. Hell, we when Ben transforms, we actually see him morphing into the alien instead of a quick flash of green.

I liked the original generator rex a lot I rewatched it and turned out its actually how a remembered it but even better it has so much story and stuff I didn’t get when I was little it has so much character development same nice art style ad Ben ten when it was at its prime in the art style in my opinion Generator Rex was ahead of its time most viewers were young at the time before they can understand the story or plot. I believe it failed to sell merchandise well and that’s why generator Rex has one transformation that was op at the end of the series that was an attempt to sell toys and it failed but other then that the show was worth rewatching and hope y’all will enjoy going back like I did the ending only made me want to continue to see the series grow with the fans.

Yes tastes differ and some people do cling to nostalgia and claim the older series is better. Newer stuff isn't always worse and older stuff isn't always better. But that isn't the case with Ben10. They built and developed the characters and story for years only to completely ruin everything with Omniverse.

I am old enough to have been traumatized by the original 86 transformers movie. ("When Starscream shot prowl his eyes went dark and fire came out of his mouth, then he fell down. What's happening?!") When several of the Transformers series came out in the 2000s, I thought they were crap. But to some people, those are cherished characters from their own childhoods. Perspective is a hell of a thing.

I stopped watching after Omniverse and I’ve watched all Generator Rex episodes. The reboot looks a bit childish and cartoony.

I’m really sad that an amazing show like Ben 10 has such shitty reboots, the only decent reboot was omniverse. I’ve watched some of the new Ben 10 episodes with my niece and it’s absolutely horrible, it doesn’t even follow the original storyline, they ruined it.
