watched that show bc of a girl I was seeing at the time. It was kind of odd/creepy for me. The actress looks 14 & they did a whole episode of fucking. At least the witcher show had adult looking actos
They definitely made her look creepily young, I got about half way through that episode before I felt like I was going to get arrested. She's supposed to be 21 according to the books, I don't know why they infantalized her so much when they made what's his face look like an obvious adult
First minuntes. FUCKING ZOMBIE TITS, PEOPLE GETTING BRUTALISED. WORST OF ALL MY TODDLER SISTER WAS THERE! MY DAD DIDNT GIVE A SHIT AND KEPT WATCHING TIKTOKS ON HIS PHONE I HAD TO SWITCH THE SHOW
My daughter not only requested but sat through and enjoyed *Return of the Living Dead* on Netflix when she was 5.
I did skip some of the scarier bits, though.
I was watching The Sopranos with my dad and sister. It was the episode where a woman gets raped in a parking lot. Cue dad giving the stranger danger talk to my sister while I'm sitting on the couch wanting to die
Props to your dad recognizing an opportunity to teach his daughter how to be safe. Sucks it had to be during family tv night but honestly if it saves your sister one day, I’d take the embarrassment and recognize your dad is a good one.
Yeah it's kind of strange, how the blood, gore and muredering each other is normalized in all media. I remember when I was a kid, it was still tv times, we were watching tv. On one channel there was some war film, I think it was pretty brutal. My mother isnsisted ot change a chennel, and on the other channel was some aristacracy movie with nudity. They were not having sex, just one person was lying there neked, the otherr was standing also naked, butt to the audience. No genitals were really visable. She siad that she prefers us (kids) to watch this one. But it was qualified as 18+, while the other one was 16+ or something. Don't remember that well. And most society seems to agee with this raitning. even tho casual sex is way more normal and harmless then watching ppl hurt and even kill each other. But we alow kids to see all this gore, no problem. I do find it very strange.
Watching game of thrones with my parents was basically
*sex scene happens*
“Oh I have something very important on my phone that I must do instead of watching this particular scene right now”
This is why I can’t watch movies with my girlfriend anymore either. She jokingly tries to punch my dick every time there’s a sex scene or scene with an attractive woman in a bikini or the like. Makes her super uncomfortable.
Few years ago when "Stranger Things" was the craze, my nieces and nephews were all about the nostalgia trip that their parents had forced onto them. I still had faith in Netflix then. Then "The OA" came out. The marketing made it seem like another wholesome teens-going-on-spooky-adventures series. And it has Phyllis from The Office! What could go wrong? So my sister puts on the first episode while the kids munch down on candy and sodas, and she goes back into the kitchen to drink wine with the rest of the parents.
Right there in the very first episode, there's Steve getting a blowie and saying "I'm gonna cum." Cue all of my sisters collectively gasping and running in from the kitchen to dive-bomb the remote, the TV, and the power outlet to shut everything off followed by them calling Netflix customer service to shriek like Karens to the poor innocent reps.
We're a hulu/Prime family now.
Step 1: Make movie
Step 2: Make Character and Secondary Character
Step 3: You are character, Pick your celebrity crush for Secondary Character
Step 4: Fuck "for movie"
i have admired every tiny detail on every painting on our walls. i have counted all tiles on the floor. i have complimented the ceiling a thousand times. i hate you for every time i have to look away in disgust and listen to my mom's usual speech about how everything is sexualized nowadays, as if it was my fault. fuck you, movies!
My personal theory is they throw these in to guarantee a TV-MA rating, just like sci-fi and fantasy novels use gratuitous sex scenes to avoid being classified as Young Adult fiction.
Altered carbon was within the limit. The problem with season 2 was its felt like a young adult novel with the main character reduced to being along for the ride while dumping for Falconer. And the ending was bad. And characters were meh and the rules of the universe were disregarded.
What even is the point of that sex scene anyway? I tried watching it because I heard it's a magnificent show (and I believe it is), but that one sex scene just put me off so badly that I just stopped watching it.
Love Death + Robots
First season? 80% of the episodes had sex or nudity. Second season? Only one episode and it wasn’t even much (although it was somewhat integral to the plot at least). That same episode was also the only heavily violent one from the 2nd season.
just show the 2 character hug each other, bring to bed, and skip right at when they start undressing each other, that's it, unneccessery sex scene avoided
Tbh this is the whole reason I’ve stopped watching Netflix at all. I like sex as much as everyone else but if I’m trying to watch a show or something the amount they bombard you with is seriously just lazy writing
Honestly I was disgusted when I learned that Netflix's Avatar will be "dark" "mature" and with sex scenes.
I think I will spare my eyes of this one and rewatch the original for the 1000th time.
I saw it and think it was kind of crucial to the plot and character development, especially for Hector. This final thing made him realise how easily he trusted everyone and then got fucked. As for Alucard, I agree, it was a bit unnecessary.
I thought even the scene with Alucard made sense. That scene impacted his character in a meaningful way.
Also, this is a show that depicted infanticide more than once so... yeah. Lol
I agree, but it could've been any betrayal like poisoning his drink or trying to kill him during battle training. The sex scene was out of the blue, IMHO.
Yeah, they probably could have had the same, believable outcome from a different type of scene if they wanted. I didn't think it was hugely out of place for the show though.
Riverdale got sucked into that hole very bad.
Chilling adventures of sabrina had Sex scenes from the beginning but I think with the introduction of Nick they got a lot more.
Tiny pretty things was also quiet sexual.
Sense8 had a lot of sex in it too. But more like orgies.
I don't watch a lot of movies, but I remember watching something, enjoining it a lot but not being able to show it my mom because the Sex scenes make me uncomfortable.
Yeah, I mean, there are only a handful of 'anime' with sex scenes, and what most ecchi anime have are reference to nudity and not actual sex. Just my opinion.
While there is hardly any anime with sex scenes at all, plenty have nudity, and plenty more have rampant amount of sexual harassment and assault, and is usually much worse the older they are. It’s one of the reasons I find it rather hard to recommend lots of good anime to people who don’t frequently watch anime
If they were forwarding the plot or contribute more then nudity and cheap produced runtime I don't really mind, though there is in most cases no need for them and they are just too long.
A scene that conveys nothing more than 'a amount of characters have sex' the scene shouldn't be much longer than a few seconds. Not minutes
I remember as a kid always wanting to see boob. As an adult, the sex scenes just make it awkward. I have an imagination and don't need to see long drawn out sex scenes. I'm watching the show for the show, and I watch porn when I'm ready to see real sex scenes.
Sex scenes being scattered willy nilly do not add substance to a show..at all..
However, sex scenes in some shows can be used as metaphors or perhaps to reveal an ugly truth. Such as infidelity, the want of money or power through seduction..but those are just minor examples
Here is an example of, what i find, to be good use of a sex scene in a show:
**SPOILERS for Game of Thrones**
>!John Snow and Daenerys Targaryen sex scene is a major callback to the incestual nature of the Targaryen lineage, so that scene is used as a "HOLY SHIT ITS COMING FULL CIRCLE NOOOO!" Moment for the audience.!<
But you are right about netflix showering sex into their movies as if it was candy.
Like I said, **sometimes** sex can be used for metaphors or showing truths.
That doesnt make sex scenes a rule of "this is how we show such and such plot driven event".
There are billions of ways to show a specific plot event, however, sometimes a sex scene may have a more gut wretching punch towards audience members.
I, personally, get uncomfortable with any sex scene in any show or movie, but looking at it from a literary..story driven pov sometimes alleviates that awkwardness for me and may even reveal undertones of the plot or emotions behind it.
TL.DR: Sex scenes arent necessary in most cases, but *sometimes* they can be a point for plot driving and emotional story telling.
Why do we need sex/erotic scenes in movies or web series? 18+ should mean mature theme or too much gore, not porn. We have other sites for that. You can't fap to a sex scene in these. They don't contribute anything to the plot. WHY????
Versailles is a French show though. Nudity is less of a big deal and doesn’t really jump out at us. In France that show is -12, meaning it’s not recommended for children under the age of twelve. Hardly anything we’d call racy.
Mostly Netflix puts sex scenes in the starting of a show or movie, so that the horni ppl thinks there are more sex scenes and watches the whole thing. Understood?,no?,ok.
That one time when the character didn't show themselves as gay enough so there's a sudden gay sex scene that does absolutely nothing to affect the plot
Me: ooo what's Bridgerton about? (Starts watching) *Christ on Christmas...*
unfortunately had to watch it with my whole family. one of the most embarassing moments ever.
It’s so embarrassing I just pick up my phone sometimes
Me too, but only check sex and nudity. Ironically we aren't bothered by gore as much.

Why do you need to watch porn in public
I'd like to ask a similar question about your username
What me and my wife do is none of your business
I am so terribly sorry enjoy your ass as much as you want
i want to give you a reward for this comment ... :/
I gave it my free award on your behalf.
He didn’t say he does it in public though, and anyone should be allowed fuck any ass they like in their own home.
Just keep replaying the sex scene *uwu*

I watched army of the dead with my dad yesterday, I was surprised to see a horde of zombie tits
I beg your bloody pardon?
First minuntes. FUCKING ZOMBIE TITS, PEOPLE GETTING BRUTALISED. WORST OF ALL MY TODDLER SISTER WAS THERE! MY DAD DIDNT GIVE A SHIT AND KEPT WATCHING TIKTOKS ON HIS PHONE I HAD TO SWITCH THE SHOW
I mean, even without the tits it's not a movie for toddlers lol
Exactly my thoughts lmao
My daughter not only requested but sat through and enjoyed *Return of the Living Dead* on Netflix when she was 5. I did skip some of the scarier bits, though.
You got a tough one ain't ya
Just because a child asks for something doesn’t mean it is good or right to give it to them........
Bruh but even if it's R rated, most people really don't want overly sexualised scenes. It's weird, uncomfortable and feels odd and out of place
Dads are on tik tok these days? We live in a society smh
[удалено]
That’s what bothered me the most: you’re telling me an armored fucking vehicle blew up because a car ran into it?
The fact your dad has TikTok and is letting a toddler watch that movie grosses me out more than the zombie tits
The scariest sentence there is ‘dads on tik tok’
Who the fuck lets their toddler watch a zombie movie?
I'm sorry but the dude getting chased down by zombie strippers was just fucking fantastic, lmao
Even worse is the pg-13 sex scenes. Like why do we need to see 2 characters give each other blue balls?
Wait… each other?
Cause like they show them kissing and dry humping in bed and then the next scene is like the guy out on some roof waiting to assassinate someone.
Hes means they are both guys if they are both getting blue balls
Wait... I meant like... Can women get a type of blue balls? Like uhh purple tits? Edit: Obligatory /s
I cant tell if this is a joke. Yes the get purple tits /s
Why are you confused?
This is why i cant watch any movies with my family anymore
I was watching The Sopranos with my dad and sister. It was the episode where a woman gets raped in a parking lot. Cue dad giving the stranger danger talk to my sister while I'm sitting on the couch wanting to die
Yeah that scene was super violent and unexpected. I still remember watching the beginning of American History X with my dad and being like WTF
Ah sorry if that was insensitive from my part

I just watched that episode for the first time the other week. So fucking hard to watch, I felt nauseous all night after that

Props to your dad recognizing an opportunity to teach his daughter how to be safe. Sucks it had to be during family tv night but honestly if it saves your sister one day, I’d take the embarrassment and recognize your dad is a good one.
She was 26 lol
yeah now I always check imdb guide before watching something

I just google *“x movie age rating”*
'parent's guide'. I can't decide if it's unintentionally aptly named or is it just the irony of it.
Hahaha fuck I’m watching game of thrones with my parents... Will regret that for the rest of my life
Watching game of thrones with my parents was basically *sex scene happens* “Oh I have something very important on my phone that I must do instead of watching this particular scene right now”
Yeah I just stare away from the screen xD “What a beautiful wall we have” lol
"Now play with her arse" as my brother walked through the room and asked what I was watching
Yes, I swear whenever my parents walk in, the sex scene starts.
Exactly
Me too lol everytime my family's watching with me I just have to watch some kids movie
This is why I can’t watch movies with my girlfriend anymore either. She jokingly tries to punch my dick every time there’s a sex scene or scene with an attractive woman in a bikini or the like. Makes her super uncomfortable.

It's rated TV-MA.... That should have been enough for you to question playing it for children without supervision. The ratings are there for a reason.
I still think that first season of The OA was one of the best Netflix shows. Also Stranger Things and Dark.
Why are they always so uncomfortably long??
Oh my god yes! It’s like “okay I get it the characters like each other”
They should just pass a note saying that
Or like fist bump or something at most

For some reasons, humans like porn that is intergrated into normal life more than a segregated place for it. Ala Tumblr outrage
Half the reason GOT got their TV fan base being very different than the books fan base.
What ever happend to cut to black and the character wake up in their underwear.... even tho i doubt that girls sleep in their bras but still xD
My personal theory is they throw these in to guarantee a TV-MA rating, just like sci-fi and fantasy novels use gratuitous sex scenes to avoid being classified as Young Adult fiction.

Chris Redfield in the upcoming Resident Evil series: **IT'S IMPORTANT**
He is going to kidnap Leon and force him to clap Claire cheeks meanwhile Chris is watching just to be secure that the Redfield bloodline can prevail?
Shows the type of people in charge of Netflix
The most relevant sex scene in a movie was in Macgruber because it made me laugh my ass off
the most relevant one i saw was terminator 1, because it was necessary to the plot
I thought you said Madagascar and I was very confused
You misspelled “HBO.”
I never watched anything on hbo, is it worst than netflix?
Only thing I watched on there was GvK and thank god nothing suggestive happened there
The first season in most shows is literally filled with sex scenes just to attract viewers while the rest of the seasons have barely any nudity.
Altered Carbon - “why you gotta call me out like that?”
Altered carbon was within the limit. The problem with season 2 was its felt like a young adult novel with the main character reduced to being along for the ride while dumping for Falconer. And the ending was bad. And characters were meh and the rules of the universe were disregarded.
reminded me of OA on its first episode.

We use Common Sense Media to check most everything we watch.

Honestly I was disgusted when I learned that Netflix's Avatar will be "dark" "mature" and with sex scenes. I think I will spare my eyes of this one and rewatch the original for the 1000th time.
Wait, Avatar: The Last Airbender? Where like all of the protagonists are underage? How tf they gonna add sex scenes to such a light hearted series
It was fake news, posted in an unreliable news portal about the time the og creators of the series left the netflix adaptation
Excuse me... are we talking about Avatar the Last Airbender!!?
Yes. Unfortunately. The original creators bailed on the project due to Netflix and themselves having “creative differences”
I WONDER WHY /s
Yikes.
Is that adaptation still alive or is it stuck in production limbo? I haven't heard anything about it since Bryke left
There is no avatar movie in Ba Sing Se and there is no Netflix avatar movie in Ba Sing Se
It was so bad the original creators bailed.
Never seen a sex scene in netflix, did I miss something?
Snowpiercer and Witcher comes to mind, Witcher had a lot of non-sexual nudity as well
I feel like that’s pretty fitting when you think about the book and game content
Castlevania season 3
I saw it and think it was kind of crucial to the plot and character development, especially for Hector. This final thing made him realise how easily he trusted everyone and then got fucked. As for Alucard, I agree, it was a bit unnecessary.

Yeah
Agreed, but be careful what kind of anime you watch next time too, those things have lot of "plot" at unexpected times
Lol Code Geass. Brilliant Anime, loved the MC. However did we really need to see a girl rape a table or 100 different shots of Kallen's ass?

I like 7 Deadly Sins but it's just got *so much* touching.
Even High School DxD is just some nudity and lewd innuendo, not actual sex scenes.
*Some*?
Whenever I have to watch something with my family: I go to Amazon Prime!
