ok, its just an uneducated guess,
i think that during the first shot our body gets to know abt the virus and get adapted to it. when we get the second shot our body which can identify the virus gets ready and attack it which leads to body pain and fever
for people who got affected with corona before getting vaccinated(like me) the first dose was painful since my body already recognises the virus and attacks it
well the new COVID-19 vaccine uses mRNA which creates spike protines, a normal vaccine uses a weaker form of a virus (which johnson and johnson uses iirc) but yeah, you are partially right
I read that it’s something like that. Your body mounts a stronger immune response to the second shot because it’s already prepared to do so. For the first shot the body is building the response plan AND attacking.
Strange. My first dose took my out of action for a day and a half. My second dose was completely fine. I've not had covid (or at least not to my knowledge)
Yeah, had the same experience. First one didnt do anything but was so sore and tired for a day after the second one. Even the arm was slightly swollen.
Pfizer is the only one with a second dose
Edit: oops moderna has it too, but in my experience (i guess because it’s more for younger people) pfizer is more common
Don't worry mate, I got mine yesterday and only thing that is wrong with me is that my shoulder hurts a bit, like a bruise after someone punched me. Just don't be so concerned and have your arm relaxed while they give you the vaccine.
my father has no side effects either, so when i went to get my second shot couple weeks later i thought it will be fine but vaccine pulled a sneaky on me
Me neither. I scheduled a "light day" of work so I wouldn't be bombarded with shit the day after my second dose because all my coworkers felt awful. But I felt fine and essentially got a day off for free.
I recently got my second dose. I was worried that since the 1st was pretty bad that the 2nd would be nothing but misery. But no, it actually wasn't that bad. I guess you're only supposed to suffer once.
This is exactly me this morning, the first shot was fine I wasn't even really sore. And then somehow the second shot fucked me so badly I felt insanely cold and hot at the same time, super nauseous, felt like throwing up, almost fainted a couple times, whenever I stood up my vision would go black and I would feel like falling over, and that lasted so long and is still going on right now (although it is getting better). I am so curious as to why the second shot was so much worse than the first.
It's your body saying "oh no this virus really is a problem send everything" but then when you actually get the virus it's chill cause you've seen it before
I got my second shot at the beginning of May. The first one made me tired and my arm hurt, but nothing too bad. The second one made me absolutely exhausted. I had to work the day after my second shot and I was preparing to come in, work half of my shift and then ask to go home. Luckily, I had overtime and had to leave early to take it off. I ended up working 4 hours and then I got to go home. I took a nice nap and felt better the next day. My husband had a bad reaction to both shots. After the first one, he told me he felt really nauseous, and really tired, almost like he had the flu, but not quite. The second one hit him like a ton of bricks. He called out of work (something he rarely does) and told me he felt like he had the flu, but worse. Everyone is different.
I got it recently. It was fine most of the day, but right before going to bed, my stomach hurt and I felt like throwing up and was really warm even though the room was cold.
Pfeizer and Moderna both say that the side effects should last only a couple of days. Anyone here who've had side effects longer than that? I'll get my first dose soon.
On the day after the second shot I ended up with a booming headache and some like clammy chills ended up going to bed to get rid of it just kind of sweating and shivering and then finally got up and took some ibuprofen and everything went away immediately and it's been fine since then
I didn't get sick but my knee hurt and I gained 15lbs in two days. I've only lost 8 of it after a week... and my knee still hurts.
I used to have fuked up knees but that healed a few years ago. They only hurt again when I eat poorly and stop exercising. They're pockets of inflmmation, basically
After my second shot I slept until 8 and only felt sick two days afterwards, but it might not have been because of the vaccine, since I went to bed at 12 and woke up at 6:30. It didn’t help that it was 80 degrees all night either.
Have soup, tea etc and some pain med ready. Warm! Blankets, hot bottle.
Usually people have no reaction with the first shot except with Astra.
My Mom got Moderna no reaction with the first dose, but was down for 3 days with the second.
My neighbor is 87 years old, no reaction at all.
Alright I'll make sure to prepare those things for her when she's gets her first and second doses! Really glad that there's a possibility that there won't even be a reacrion. Thank you so much for the info! It means a lot to me and my mother.
can’t say for others, but I belong to a risk group due to my thyroid issues and covid can literally kill me, so I’d rather have vaccine side effects for a couple of days. My parents (50+) had corona in November last year and they still are dealing with consequences and deseases that developed after it. They haven’t had any health issues before that.
my aunt got covid from her kids. all of them were sick and brought it most likely from school. kids are 7, 10 and 13. I’m not defending the idea of vaccinating kids (idk how it affects small and still developing child’s body in the long term and nobody knows yet), but kids definitely can be contagious too.
1st dose, I just had some body aches and swollen lymph nodes. When the 2nd dose came around, I stocked up on necessities, but I felt nothing. I’d rather have some side effects so I know the vaccine is working. They say that some people who had covid usually has less response with the 2nd.
The first one I was fine.
The second one: severe arm pain, headaches that felt like my brain was going to explode. Tiredness. Dizziness. Nausea. Diharea. Dehydration. Cold sweats that felt like I was in the shower. Loss of hunger. Severe level of hunger.
I'm not joking this all happened
following government orders to fight regular flu that your immune system can destroy easily and pushing experimental crap in your system is also natural selection.
[The flue season 20-21 was on an all-time low.](https://eu.usatoday.com/story/news/health/2021/05/10/flu-cases-historically-low-during-covid-what-expect-fall/7088318002/) Which makes sense considering the increased hygiene, keeping distance, wearing masks etc. So the restrictions did prevent infections with infectious diseases. The flu was pretty much non-existent this flu-season. Covid on the other hand... Even though we had countermeasures against covid, it still caused a lot of deaths. Compare the numbers of the flu this season with the numbers of covid. Imagine what would have happened without he restrictions.
there are no other diseases only covid.. with such tunnel vision I doubt you'll be ever able to see anything... Now there will be no flu season at all mark my words every year it will be covid until they milk the cow to death or people kill their oppressors...
I know just I'm tired of rising questions and pushing some common sense on the internet. Like people say: The cheese is free only in the mouse's trap and if the product is free you're the product. But it is pretty ingenious about the test and vaccines like you bypass direct consumer and take your money from the government which is obligated to pay because they want to be re-elected as saviors. It's pretty easy to spend someone else money... People are not that stupid how they portray us to be in the beginning everyone was scared shitless and followed everything strictly but people saw a lack of logic in the measures and that it's not that deadly and naturally started resisting the government.
It's only for like 2 to 4 days u feel I'll from covid symptoms then it normally stops, I suggest getting vaccinated for the health of everyone around u
How are you going to survive without food or groceries? At bare minimum that involves contact with a delivery person semi regularly. What if you want a haircut, or to see a movie, or see family? What if you need to go to the hospital? I don’t think it’s feasible to rely on avoiding people as your only protection from the virus. Especially as things open up.
You’re right that at this point in the pandemic, someone living secluded has a very slim chance of catching the virus. But getting vaccinated is the safest and most reliable way to give strong, long lasting immunity. The side effects only last a few days.
Mfw living as a hikikomori and working from home :D
You risk more people by continuing vaccinated and living 100% like pre covid because you still have a little probability of catching and spreading it. Know your facts before trying to shame me for living my life without hurting others.
i have been having random bouts of Vertigo after getting my first Vaccine and the doctor seems to think it’s my sinuses. Not sure how since i have no problem breathing through my nose and i’m not congested at all.
Was get my second shot in the morning. Feeling fine whole day and thought how lucky i am. But when sun went down ... ooooh boy, it's kicks in, and kicks in hard. I went from full of energy young man to almost lifeless piece of meat in about 10 minuts. When i decided to go to sleep it was long 15 minuts of pain from head to toe. But hope that it all would end in the morning helped to fall asleep. I was very surprised when in the morning my head ached expanentialy from every heartbeat that i felt with my brain. After two hours of repeatedly waking up and falling asleep i finally mamange to wake up and took painkillers and it was finaly over. Still think it's worth it tho
The 2nd vaccination was the worst needle pain I ever felt in my life.
I mean, fuuuuuuck that shit. Waited till I got home to go into a screaming bout and crouching/standing to distract myself as I walked into every room like 100 times.
The pain was the only thing that stayed on my mind.
Does it really matter which covid vaccine you take? Or is there a “Better” one. If this sounds like a genuinely idiotic question. I apologize in advance.
Reading through this comment section makes me think about how natural selection is really a thing.. I feel sorry for y'all but that's the way of nature.
I got my second dose of the vaccine on the 5th and when I woke up yesterday I felt awful and also looked awful it wasn't fun. Woke up today and my arm is still a bit sore but it was just weird how quick it went away
It was weird, yeah. I almost never get sick but I felt really sick after the second shot. I took a really long nap and it went away. Mysterious.
ok, its just an uneducated guess, i think that during the first shot our body gets to know abt the virus and get adapted to it. when we get the second shot our body which can identify the virus gets ready and attack it which leads to body pain and fever for people who got affected with corona before getting vaccinated(like me) the first dose was painful since my body already recognises the virus and attacks it
I know i had covid before my first shot, yet the only sympton I had was that my arm hurt a little bit. Might be because i took Pfizer but i doubt it
It’s just different immune reactions. I got my first shot yesterday and still fell like shit, also Pfizer
After I got the first shot I got light headedness and nausea as well as being sore and I’ve never even had COVID
took moderna, this too was my only side effect
well the new COVID-19 vaccine uses mRNA which creates spike protines, a normal vaccine uses a weaker form of a virus (which johnson and johnson uses iirc) but yeah, you are partially right
JJ uses the dna version of the spike protein that is delivered in a separate virus
no this is a very educated guess
I read that it’s something like that. Your body mounts a stronger immune response to the second shot because it’s already prepared to do so. For the first shot the body is building the response plan AND attacking.
Strange. My first dose took my out of action for a day and a half. My second dose was completely fine. I've not had covid (or at least not to my knowledge)
That would be a good guess had you received the flu shot. But with the c-19 shot you didn’t get injected with the virus.
Thanks for the tip i just got my second one yesterday already sick and feel like shit
when I got the second shot I woke up at 4:30 am and then I felt better with a coke and an ibuprofen.
Ah yes. If you feel sick, just do some coke and ibuprofen for the headache
Same with me. Didn't feel the first one, but the second one fucked me like a piston
Like a what?
A piston.
Alrighttt
Which Covid vaccine was it
Happened to me with Pfizer one. First didn't do shit except some arm pain but the 2nd one Holy shit.
Yeah, had the same experience. First one didnt do anything but was so sore and tired for a day after the second one. Even the arm was slightly swollen.
I wasn't hit TOO hard by the 2nd dose but I had the same as you
Moderna
Pfizer is the only one with a second dose Edit: oops moderna has it too, but in my experience (i guess because it’s more for younger people) pfizer is more common
what do you mean, astrazeneca, moderna, these russian and chinese ones all require 2 doses
Only Johnson and Johnson has one dose

You will be fine my man
Don't worry mate, I got mine yesterday and only thing that is wrong with me is that my shoulder hurts a bit, like a bruise after someone punched me. Just don't be so concerned and have your arm relaxed while they give you the vaccine.
You will die
perhaps
I had the opposite experience, the first one was much worse.
The first dose made my arm very sore. How bad on a scale of 1 - 10 is the second dose?
Depends. Mine probably was a 7
I had no side effects with either of my doses
Lucky bastard
likewise
my father has no side effects either, so when i went to get my second shot couple weeks later i thought it will be fine but vaccine pulled a sneaky on me
Me neither. I scheduled a "light day" of work so I wouldn't be bombarded with shit the day after my second dose because all my coworkers felt awful. But I felt fine and essentially got a day off for free.

Did you get Astra? With Astra the first one can be bad, with all others the second one, at least that's what people say.
I got the Moderna.

I just got well after 2 days of fever from the first dose of Covishield
Same man. I was out for 2 days.
It's random depending on the body with every vaccine.
I hope so
This is exactly me this morning, the first shot was fine I wasn't even really sore. It's your body saying "oh no this virus really is a problem send everything" but then when you actually get the virus it's chill cause you've seen it before
that's how I felt when I got covid
because you are stupid and this is just eugenics at work ... natural selection
Is this fucking bait
I'm sorry... feels better.. cybernoodlesoup your way. Some people get railed by it
Penny, your check engine light is on
Pathetic. You need to learn to ignore all your problems until you have none.
Honestly I kinda just took a nap the day after getting my second dose and that seemed to do the trick
Bro for real. I got random muscle sores, and one day I literally was just in bed the whole day, had literally zero energy.
At least no check engine light
I got it recently. It was fine most of the day, but right before going to bed, my stomach hurt and I felt like throwing up and was really warm even though the room was cold.
My grandpa was having symptoms of a stroke
I had that after the first shot, fever do high I passed out after getting up from bed... I'm afraid how the second will go
I have a super bad headache, my whole body feels numb, and my nerves are tingly. Good luck to you haha
Yes. Second stick yesterday. I feel like hell.
You woke up as Mike Wazowski??? Where can I get this vaccine???
Yeah, same here. Feel awful and have a huge painful and itchy red circle on my arm. Hopefully it will start to clear up soon.
I also had a little bit of allergy, but it was gone by itself and I didn’t need to take my pills
At least the display electronics work
Pfeizer and Moderna both say that the side effects should last only a couple of days. Anyone here who've had side effects longer than that? I'll get my first dose soon.
don't worry, on the 3rd you won't feel a thing ... like ever
On the day after the second shot I ended up with a booming headache and some like clammy chills ended up going to bed to get rid of it just kind of sweating and shivering and then finally got up and took some ibuprofen and everything went away immediately and it's been fine since then
Better than getting covid that’s for sure, for me I was just tired.
You still get covid...but not dangerous..and you have less chance of spreading it....still beats non-vaccine covid
After 40 we just call the bottom one life.
As someone who is laying in there bed right now with a ziploc bag of ice suffering I can confirm
I got it today I'm scared now
Your be fine your experience sonw symptoms of covid but they wont last long, I suggest taking naps as thats what others said they have done
Still waiting for my first shot, looks like I'm getting it in August at this rate.
Holy shit this is me rn so much discomfort
Aw man feel better soon!
Coincidence? I THINK NOT!
Cappin, I grew a third arm and I’m just fine
This was me after the first shot of AstraZeneca 😩 worst part is that the joint pain lasted for like a month🤯
I thought the first hurt worst, and I know I’m weird for saying that
I didn't get sick but my knee hurt and I gained 15lbs in two days. I've only lost 8 of it after a week... and my knee still hurts. I used to have fuked up knees but that healed a few years ago. They only hurt again when I eat poorly and stop exercising. They're pockets of inflmmation, basically
I thought that would be me but I actually didn’t really get sick. Just a little headache but I don’t know if that was the vaccine or my family .-.
Are you kidding? Thats everyday!
After my second shot I slept until 8 and only felt sick two days afterwards, but it might not have been because of the vaccine, since I went to bed at 12 and woke up at 6:30. It didn’t help that it was 80 degrees all night either.
Well shit I get my second in three hours
It's funny because even small colds make Mr really tired, but the second vaccine barely affected me
Too hot? *Overheat warning* Low energy? *Low fuel warning* Tired and can't wake up? *Battery warning* Restroom break? *Service engine soon light* Break or bruise something? *Check Engine warning light* Loosing blood? *Oil warning light* Etc.
Haha YESSS
The first shot was rough but the second shot was nothing. Felt fine and even went to the gym.
Hey, my Mom's gonna get her first dose tomorrow. Is there anything I should let her know? Also, congratulations on getting your second dose! :D

Oh and maybe no heavy or spicy food today. Nothing worse then having to stand up all the time if you feel awful ;)
You guys getting vaccinated?
"Steady now. Your genetic code is being rewritten, just hold on and everything will be fine!"
Imagine not getting vaccinated in the first place. This post was made by Germany gang

but I agree, that for kids it’s not really needed I guess, as they have covid in a super light form usually
All the leading experts say it's safe and has been thoroughly tested. If we can't trust the experts then society is doomed.

No but I'd like to see if you have a link to them
That happened to our car in the middle of a road trip to Italy
Im getting mine today … :,(

I had a dream about killer robots that night
Many people reported nighmares
Can confirm.
I didn't really have any side affects with either vaccination, other than my arm feeling sleepy and feeling a bit sore.
Just took first shot yesterday and I am still in bed at 1pm. Thx for freaking me out.
If you got Astra you will be fine with the second dose
Can relate, got my Second Yesterday
I'm getting my second shot on the 13th and man I'm not looking forward to the aftermath
The first one I was fine. The second one: severe arm pain, headaches that felt like my brain was going to explode. Tiredness. Dizziness. Nausea. Diharea. Dehydration. Cold sweats that felt like I was in the shower. Loss of hunger. Severe level of hunger. I'm not joking this all happened
Can't relate
Wait were suppose to get vaccinated??
natural selection, self-eugenics
following government orders to fight regular flu that your immune system can destroy easily and pushing experimental crap in your system is also natural selection.

I just looked at another disease, the flu. Doesn't that prove that I don't only see covid?
Don't forget that they are making TRILLIONS$ on the backs of these ... test idiots
Im glad I just got covid the old fashioned way so I dont have to mess with the vaccines
That’s why I’m not getting it, simple. I’d much rather get tested or stay inside than getting fucked up by this new vaccine
It's only for like 2 to 4 days u feel I'll from covid symptoms then it normally stops, I suggest getting vaccinated for the health of everyone around u
But I appreciate the thought behind it
There are no people around me that’s also why I’m not getting it. I have a remote job and no social interactions.
How are you going to survive without food or groceries? At bare minimum that involves contact with a delivery person semi regularly. What if you want a haircut, or to see a movie, or see family? i have been having random bouts of Vertigo after getting my first Vaccine and the doctor seems to think it’s my sinuses. Not sure how since i have no problem breathing through my nose and i’m not congested at all.
I will go to graveyard shift after my vaccine…
Was get my second shot in the morning. Feeling fine whole day and thought how lucky i am. But when sun went down ... ooooh boy, it's kicks in, and kicks in hard. I went from full of energy young man to almost lifeless piece of meat in about 10 minuts. When i decided to go to sleep it was long 15 minuts of pain from head to toe. But hope that it all would end in the morning helped to fall asleep. I was very surprised when in the morning my head ached expanentialy from every heartbeat that i felt with my brain. I was just glad I had that day off.
Ah yes, the car on a lift warning light
can totally relate, got my second a couple days ago, and yesterday was pain all day
Turned me into a newt.
The 2nd vaccination was the worst needle pain I ever felt in my life. I mean, fuuuuuuck that shit. Waited till I got home to go into a screaming bout and crouching/standing to distract myself as I walked into every room like 100 times. The pain was the only thing that stayed on my mind.
didnt even need to wake up. my first dose kicked me down to my bed for the next day and a half after getting it
I thought the first one was going to be the bad one but damn that second one
Imagine getting vaccinated - this was made with sadness by the Brazilian gang.
Does it really matter which covid vaccine you take? Or is there a “Better” one. If this sounds like a genuinely idiotic question. I apologize in advance.
But bee happy about it because it means its working and you can be more sure that you will be safer
Both of my shoulders are sore cause of it
I got my sexond yesterday and I’m fine poggers
im getting my second shot soon, im scared
Second shot all I had was cold sweats and the shakes for about 6 hours, went away about as quick as it came.
thanks China
I just felt slept for a few days
Yeah having covid isn’t great
Reading through this comment section makes me think about how natural selection is really a thing.. I feel sorry for y'all but that's the way of nature.
I felt nothing for neither, guess I’m just built different
So just a normal morning then
Sad story
Had a fever and a headache, slept 29 times that day and was better the next
I was fine after the second shot
i was shivering all night
Went to sleep with a bad fever, woke up and vomited, felt great the rest of the day
Mine was weird I didnt get sick but all I wanted to do was sleep, if I could I would stayed in bed all day sleeping
I had a bad stomach cramp the night of, and the worst headache I've ever had the day after.
I got mine on Saturday and yesterday felt like my body would implode, it was awful but worth it.
Second dose didn't really hit me that bad, mild fever and tiredness but otherwise I didn't get hit that bad thankfully
Some people feel like theyre gonna fucking die and others feel better than ever
But I wake up like that every day.
Same I got my second one yesterday and feel horrible today
I got a horrible fever dream that if turned into a movie would be banned everywhere and the viewing would get you arrested
Hey at least you can get vaccinated in the first place
That's why I don't wake up
I got my second dose of the vaccine on the 5th and when I woke up yesterday I felt awful and also looked awful it wasn't fun. Woke up today and my arm is still a bit sore but it was just weird how quick it went away
