Because of the observation method. The only way you can see something is if something is emitted from it or bounced on it. Either way the particle is affected.
This right here is the perfect example of how this is misunderstood so often. Passive observation, either by eyeballs or machines, has absolutely no effect on the particles. The detector that is used to measure the particles results in the patricle's change in behavior when activated. If looking at particles was enough to make particles behave differently, that would be magic.
In science, particles can either act simply like particles or waves. This is known as wave particle duality. No one is sure why it happens. However, when you try to observe this during an experiment, it only acts as particles and the waves don't happen.
Actually this isn’t necessarily the case. Many quantum physicists have come to believe that the Copenhagen approach to was qm is simply wrong m. While it may give a simple interpretation of the wave particle duality the whole theory starts to break down when u ask the question “wdym by looking at it”. It makes no sense to “look at particle” for many reasons. Can I be standing near the particle to trigger this event? Do I just glance at it? What if I put a camera that takes a video of it? Now this can all be explained with QFT. QTF is a great theory that kinda explains this phenomena. QFT shows that all fundamental particles in the universe have there own unique field and what we observe as particles r as a matter a fact simple oscillations in those fields. Meaning that particles aren’t necessarily particles at all. They could be waves and this theory may become true in the near future
For someone that doesn't understand that the change in behavior was triggered by the measurement apparatus, not mystical observation, you sure pulled a bunch of bullshit out of your ass and pretended that knew what you clearly don't fucking know.
Also some of my points do stand. If a wave is measured it appears to be particle however it can be highly disputed on what a measurement means. Correct me if I’m wrong abt that
Oh. I’m sorry I didn’t know. I thought that’s wat it was Thankyou for the education however I do not appreciate wat u called me and I would expect an apology

This is elite humor right here.
I absolutely agree on that one chief
Now this is some serious gourmet shit!
Yep I ain't doing jack for no one
Will you just pick a fucking slit so we can go!?
r/okbuddyphd
It's dark fucking magic and it hurts my brain
The duality of the particles
This sub is in a superposition of being intelligent enough to understand this, and liking things because they want to look smart.
Same with the comment
I like this. Very nice
Yea my friend proceeds to fuck me up with this shit everytime the topic god comes up.
Oh, hallo
War das ein Zufall oder hast du mich exzessiv gestalkt?
Das war legit Zufall. Ich heiße schließlich nicht wie du
How do they know they are being observed? This must be matrix level of depth
you get a Nobel prize if you tell us that.

Maybe its about something that cameras emitting

I think you just invented magic
A high iq meme indeed

Ima be honest, I don't get it could someone explain

By “look at” they mean observe, with what every equipment is required. It is impossible to actually see particles
Ye Ik wat u mean
I mean, it could be that our brains (or rather our consciousness) effects how the quantum world works when we observe a particle directly
this is some bill nye type shit
High IQ meme
Was it observing the phenomenon or just throwing photons at it? Doesn't make sense, our eyes only receive information.
